I ham from Manchester area @ the time the consulate in Manchester was not open for citinship was told apply to London it took me over 2 years to make apointnent last year manage make apointnent in london booked hotel went to appointment all paperwork was ok when they checked I live near Manchester they said you should Gon to Manchester they refuse to proces papers I told them @ time Manchester was not doing citinship & nobody told me been Tring all year to re book for manchester is impossible I spent lots money doing paper work & London hotel stil refuse to do citinship

Cannot book, they are neglecting basic rights due to having uncapable infrastructure just to take a booking. Shocking that a first world country uses this system. They deserve a huge lawsuit.

Shockingly bad. Slow. Hard to log in. Going round in roundabouts. Too many prompts to change password and then you’re met with ‘access denied’. Such a backwards website. Looks like it’s from the 90s.

I've been calling to the number for passport, sending emails, I went yesterday 18/02/25 at the Italian consulate to ask for my passport due to I've to travel urgent on 20/02/2025, bought my flight ticket, and I was told to back today morning, telling that I not live in London, NOTHING IS WORKING PROPERLY.

I'm complaining for the delay of my passport applied on 03/12/2024, non receiving any feedback regarding until weeks ago about my address issue, knowing that it couldn't be the obstacle to renew a passport, it damage to a person life.

Any reviews for the service? it seems a complicated attitude towards people willing to ask for a practical, smooth, fluent service. A review for this is minimal, the assistance is creating discomfort in asking for something important in one's life. Why don't the Italian Consulate do this right?

Can someone please give me some advise .
I meet a member of the Italian consulate at the Bristol office in November last year and he told me he could get all my documents translated ( for a Fee of course )
It took months to get the documents with the Apostile attached and even longer for the translations !
He never returned my original birth certificate so i can only assume he has lost it !
I have messaged and called him several times and he has ignored my requests for information .

Also i have the same issue trying to book an appointment online to visit the consulate office in London to present my application for citizenship.

HELP ...... this is an awful service !

2 weeks ago I realised my passport will expire in 6 months time and I have travel booked in 10 days time. Went on the consulate website only to find I now needed an appointment and none were available in the London Consulate until mid November. Sent an email and today a lovely lady called Priscilla called me and sorted an appointment for me in a few days time and the new passport will be done on the spot before I go away. Very pleased with service so far.

This is related to the Manchester Consulate. The Consulate should be investigated and the staff should be placed under intensive scrutiny. The waiting time to receive a passport is of 6 months. They do not answer emails, the opening time IS ( not plural as it is ONE hour) from 1330-1430). I emailed asking for the complaint department and they have not replied. Who is working there? Are the employees working regular hours? Who checks the workload and the productivity? I would appreciate if someone could email me back with a contact for formal complains as the waiting time is an absolute scum and a joke.
I have worked as administrator and I know how to work on a back log. You come in and you do work for a few weeks, maybe you hire agency staff but you get through it. Shameful place!

I would like to write about my excellent experience with the Italian consulate in London specially with the office STATO CIVILE. They helped me step by step to get all the right paper in order to renew my passport as my birth certificate was not registered at the Comune of residency.
They reply to my emails promptly and that helped me to get all the paper done on time to renew my passport. Finally tomorrow 19th June 2024 i will manage to get my passport renewed. Thank you again for all your help excellent services and for making my life easier.

I wanted to leave a review on my experience of the process of renewing my Italian passport- it took me around no time to get an appointment on the website for london but had to wait 3 months for it.
I eventually went today and i must say the process was so smooth and i managed to leave within around 1.5 hours or couldve been less. I wanted to say thank you to the consultant officers for improving the system! Thank you as i was dreading going!!

Grazie a vuoi! See you in 10 years :)

There is no appointment available as always

I have tried to book an appointment for my passport to be renewed. At the Manchester Italian consulate on the on line website. Everything day at 5pm I press the button takes to the next page fill what they asked me then press forward and a message pops up saying are you confirming one person named ….. cancel or ok . I press ok then it takes back were I started at the booking options . Saying sorry fully book try tomorrow I am getting so frustrated I really need to sort out my passport. Can someone help me

I had a call with "Operator 44" who was extremely helpful and an amazing communicator in both English and Italian. Polite and made a 30-minute wait on hold worth it. Thanks

Terrible service to try and book a citizenship appointment. The Prenot@mi web site is a joke.
Have been trying at 5:00 PM every day for weeks. If I am lucky (probably 3 times max) I get through to the next page after hitting the Booking button but then either get thrown back to the start or for one time only got through to a calendar where all the slots were booked for months ahead and then no appointments available at all.
Wasting money having documents translated and legalised and then not able to get in front of someone who probably needs 15 mins to check them and approve.
What is wrong with them? They clearly have no conscience and apparently zero ability to operate this service. I can't believe that consular services in other countries could ever be this bad.

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse. Managed to get to the next screen after selecting Booking. Enter the OTP code (which seems to take forever to get emailed to you) and it then bounces you back to the Booking choice screen.
Totally ridiculous web site. They must have hired a dyslexic hamster to build it. Shame I can't give the site a zero star rating

Although initially I have found it difficult to understand how to actually get a passport renewal appointment, once I found the correct number to call I arranged a call back and was indeed called back on the same day by operator number 44 who was very helpful and friendly and secured me an appointment.

I just ended my call with the consulate Operator. The gentleman operator that call 'Operator 44' was excellent. Kind, courteous, efficient and resourceful. The Consulate receives a high volume of calls everyday, therefore, I advice making your calls in early. I dialled in at 8.15 sharply when the line opened and managed to get myself at number 2 in the queue. For passport, ID, travelling documents, or any other consulate related topic, the website will be unable to help as the phone line service operator will require to verify important security checks with you before actioning a appointment date. Great service. Again, call early to ensure getting attended within reasonable wait time.

I spoke with operator number 44.at the Italian passport office. Excellent service, very helpful and friendly.
Definitely 5 star service. Well done to him.

I called today to arrange an appointment for my passport and requested a call back rather than to hold in the queue. An incredibly helpful chap called me within a few hours and was more helpful and informative than I could have hoped. Thank you so much to 'employee no.44', I really appreciate all your help. I called them and was number 24 in the queue. They offered to call me back and did. The man I spoke to op 44 was helpful and booked me an appointment to get my passport in two weeks. They are busy and attentive and helpful when you get to speak to them
