Bought leg press/hack squat machine....curved treadmill, weight bench....all delivered to scottish highlands without issue. Absolutely delighted with the quality of all of them. Just waiting for my open trap bar.....highly recommend this company.

The equipment itself is excellent—well built, high quality and exactly what I was hoping for. The installation team were also outstanding: professional, friendly and clearly took pride in their work. They were a real credit to Primal Strength.
Unfortunately, my experience with the sales team and after-sales support has been the complete opposite. Communication dropped off significantly once payment had been made, and getting updates or responses became unnecessarily difficult. It felt like the customer experience ended as soon as the sale was completed.
It's a shame, because the products and installation deserve five stars, but the sales process and after-sales support let the overall experience down considerably. I hope this is something Primal Strength addresses, as they have great products that deserve better customer service.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Primal Strength. The whole process was exceptional, from the initial quotation and advice from Cara McDickom, right through to the installation.

Cara was professional, responsive and made everything straightforward from the very beginning. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

The installation team (I believe South African) were absolutely outstanding. Their professionalism, attention to detail and workmanship were first class. They clearly took real pride in their work, left everything spotless and made sure every piece of equipment was perfectly installed.

As for the equipment itself, the quality is phenomenal. Everything feels incredibly solid, commercial-grade and built to last. It’s exceeded my expectations and has completely transformed my home gym.

It’s rare these days to find a company that delivers such a high standard from sales through to installation, but Primal Strength did exactly that. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for premium gym equipment and outstanding customer service.

I write this review with conflicted feelings. On the one hand, the quality and aesthetic of primal pieces are undeniably strong. It is evident that, compared to earlier iterations I have encountered in previous gyms, the brand has significantly elevated its standards. The custom rig, in particular, is a standout feature within my studio, both visually and functionally. The chrome and black finish integrates really well with the overall design, and clients are loving the swivel hip thrust bench.

However, the purchasing and installation experience fell considerably short of expectations. Communication around delivery timelines lacked clarity and consistency. At one stage, I was informed that installation would be delayed by nine days due to shipping issues. While this was later rectified, the situation raised legitimate concerns about whether the delay was genuine or simply a matter of prioritisation elsewhere. This part of the process added unnecessary stress given I am a genuine small business - a one woman band doing everything and relying on opening my business quickly. All other parts of the project had run to timeline and I didn’t expect it to be Primal to cause a delay. It wasn’t until I pointed out the poor communication and reminded them of how small a business I am, that the delay was corrected.

Adding on this, I was reminded on several occasions that I had received a £3,000 discount. While I appreciate any commercial consideration, the manner and frequency with which this was referenced felt unnecessary and, at times, dismissive, particularly when raised in response to legitimate concerns. It created the impression that I was being a difficult customer for expecting agreed standards to be met.

The installation process itself was unnecessarily stressful. By the second day, it became apparent that essential components of the rig were missing, preventing completion. The installation team was unable to return until several days later, significantly disrupting my schedule and leaving me with insufficient time to prepare the studio for opening. This had a direct impact on my business: I was forced to abandon plans to offer a complimentary trial week to clients, an initiative that reflected my values and commitments, and one I was ultimately unable to honour.

Further issues arose with missing and delayed items, including the dip bar, which is fundamental to my calisthenics offering. It was both frustrating and embarrassing to explain its absence to clients. And I couldn’t quite believe that the rig had been delivered without j-hooks! I had to use the safety bars for the first week in order to have clients to do barbell squats. Even after subsequent deliveries, items were still missing, including two pairs of dumbbells, which I eventually chose to forgo in favour of a refund. To Primal’s credit, this was handled promptly.

Finally, there are concerns regarding the installation quality itself. The hip thrust bench proved extremely difficult to fit into the rig, requiring excessive force, and ultimately had to be removed after proving impractical in use. Upon closer inspection, it has become apparent that part of the rig has been installed misaligned. This is not only disappointing from a functional standpoint but also detracts from the otherwise high aesthetic standard.
In summary, while the equipment itself is impressive, the overall experience did not meet the level of professionalism one would expect.
