Primordial Radio Avis 

Primordial radio is a subscription based Rock and Metal station that you can listen via the website, Phone app or smart speaker, most of all it is a community, there is no doubt about that and everyone is made to feel part of it.
All requests are accommodated, even if late so your voice will be heard. Rock and Metal is alas on the fringes these days and so you have to accept some of the sub-genres you don’t chime with but that is also part of the charm, nothing wrong with a bit of diversity. Everyone can give a thumbs up or down on every song so the station has a good handle on what people are in to. We have our own weekly chart which members can vote on so it changes quite often. Freespin Friday is a day of requests where anything goes and is played, no matter what as long as the station has the track.

The presenters are fabulous and the best part is having no adverts or world news just music and - well some music news.

I consider it to be great value and you will hear tons of stuff you wouldn’t hear even via streaming sites like Spotify because you wouldn’t know about the artists. Give it a go for a couple of months, you won’t regret it.

I really love this radio station. A great range of music, some I wouldn't always listen to but that's part of what's great about it. I've only been to one event (Ogri) and that was also superb. If you like rock and metal try it out. You won't be disappointed.

I've been with them since the days of Team Rock. They clearly play the best mix of Rock and Metal. Freespin Friday will throw a few curveballs expect a couple of non Rock or Metal acts like The Vengaboys (LOL). The best thing about the station is up to 50% of the music is new music with up to 50% from new acts. You never know you may find your new favourite act

Great music, I don’t like it all, but that normal. But I have heard new bands that I would otherwise have never discovered.

I’ve been subscribing to Primordial Radio for 5 or 6 years now and almost forget radio before it. Not only has it brought me an unimaginable wealth of new music who became new favourite tracks and bands, but it provided opportunity to meet like minded people at gigs and events, meet the bands at their merch stalls and discuss the station with the Directors, like mates at the pub. It’s an unrivalled blend of huge musical capacity and personal relationships and friendships I think it unlikely replicated anywhere else! Listening to commercial radio now is painful, adverts every few minutes and tiny play lists. Incomparable with PR!

Just brilliant balls out rock and metal hosted by top personalities who let the music play. No adverts, no nonsense, just metal music by metal fans.

Great, ad free radio, that plays the music I want to hear. Independent, honest & good fun to list to. It's basically like having your mates on air, playing music we all love. Really like their culture, community & charity support. (Horns up) Long live the PR Fam!

I have been listening to Primordial Radio almost since it's inception, I spend all day sat at a computer at work and as a big fan of Rock and Metal, I really hatted all the commercial radio, and then one day I randomly found TeamRock radio, where is where primordial radio evolved from. I found the hosts hilarious and I loved the music and I was lost once again when the radio closed down. But then I discovered a core of the hosts had started their own project in Primordial Radio! I have been listening to them at work every since, granted you have to pay a subscription, but I very much think it's worth it to support the team, so they can continue to create the awesome content they do and lets face it who actually likes listening to ads. I think their commitment to new music is brilliant, as I don't get out much I would struggle to find new bands if it wasn't for primordial, and I am grateful to them for all the bands I have discovered through them. Don't stop brightening up my day lads!

What would I do without Primordial Radio, I dread to think. A proper rock/metal/alternative music station. Started listening right at the beginning. I have discovered countless new bands, been to loads of new gigs and Primordial get-togethers, found some new friends along the way too. Primordial has become more than just a kicking radio station but a way of life for me too. Like your rock? Love your metal? Into your Punk? Primordial is exactly what you need.,

I'm quite far up north so I've rarely been able to attend any of the Primordial events. it's a shame, as I've heard great things.

What I do love is the music. It's a great mix of old and new. No music station is entirely to everyone's tastes, but if you don't like the track, something you do like will be along in 3 minutes (Unless it's about airships, so come back in quarter of an hour...). I've enjoyed the exposure to tracks I'd never considered before, be that from bands old or new.

The subscription price isn't unreasonable either. Not much more than a Tesco meal deal a month, and satisfies for much longer. I'm very happy to be a member.

What a great radio station that truly cares about it listeners and community.
They play a mix of new and old metal and rock tunes with bits of punk thrown in for good measure and on a Friday they open it up so everyone has a chance to request a tune and anything goes, that's any tune from any band!
Also there are FB groups that help people keep in touch and meet new friends.
So if you can Spare 5.99 a month then come on join the best community you'll ever be in!

If you are looking for a radio station that hand picks the best new rock and metal music from up and coming bands so you can easily keep up to date with the rising stars, look no further. A good mix of music, not just the old classics on repeat. Fun presenters and interaction with the listener community.

I have try'ed the new to 2022 free stream it's basically the normal payed stream with a song dropped out for a block of advertising.
I am waiting for them to put an ad block in for empire of the clouds 😂 if this is not your humour then this might not be the right station for you because every now and again they will do something silly to brake up the monotony some times it lands some times it's cringe but it's definitely not boring or traditional.
The main paid service is great and there are a host of podcasts and on-demand specials on the web page or trough the app.
The live events they put on are good and most of the time value for money.
The main sell for me is 50% of the music is new I get to find small touring bands I can see in small venue for less than 2 pints for tickets.
Also when I look at a festival line up I know way more of the low support bands than I ever did before thanks to primordial.
Some times it's a tad heavy but it's worth it for the diversity.

more than a station more like a family.
i use to listen to some of the DJs on their old station and was at a loss when that came to an end. the music that the station plays is great the push new music so always finding new bands and new songs to listen to. and the community is like nothing else met many and had a blast with them all and everyone is so welcoming. pick up the free trial you will not regret joining

I've been a listener to Primordial since its inception.

Rush famously wrote "begin the day with a friendly voice, a companion unobtrusive" and it's true of Primordial.

Moose greets you in the morning like a warm fuzzy chinchilla and Dewsbury drives you home with his northern drawl.

I've found plenty of new music, from bands new and old and the mix is stronger than any other station.

If rock and metal are your thing, then you won't be disappointed.

Primordial has helped this old rocker to stay young and still feel ALIVE. I’ve discovered so many new bands it makes my head spin sometimes. Moose, Dewsbury, Pete etc have been a big part of my life for 10 years. Listening to Primordial really makes you feel like part you’re of a wonderful f**ked up metal family and I love it.

The place to discover brand new bands and brand new songs. All mixed in with a blend of classic music and more genres than you can shake a stick at.
