Refund
I’m a watch collector. They rejected an online purchase after taking the payment. That was 4 weeks ago and I’m chasing the refund.
If earrings don't fit your ear piercing they are classed as "WORN"
I wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased "huggie" earrings. You cannot try earrings on in store for "health reasons" so I didn't realize until I tried to wear them after Christmas that the posts were too thick for my ear piercing. I've worn pierced earring for 40 years. I tried to return the earrings in store NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE but because I had "worn them" (the staffs words not mine) I was told they could not exchange or refund. Once purchased without trying to wear the earrings how else was I to know they didn't fit. At no point in the sale was I told that the posts were of a certain size - i.e. larger than some other earrings. After complaining through the store I also tried their customer service online but kept getting automated responses.
Disgusted and disappointed! They could easily include the post size information!
Refused refund for faulty item.
In early December I purchased a heart locket necklace for my daughter for Christmas from Prouds Fountaingate. The locket was faulty and I returned to the store on January 16, which was the first chance I had to take it back. I was happy to exchange for the same item, but it was out of stock. I was told there was as one in transit to arrive the following day, but I did not want to have to go back to the store so I asked for a refund, so my daughter could just sort it herself. I was told that I could not have a refund, only replacement or exchange voucher. I said it is faulty and as per Australian consumer Law I am entitled to a refund. The male sales person then said, how do I know it was faulty when you got it. Anyway, this went back and forth, I told him I wasn’t leaving until I got my refund and there was no way I wanted an exchange voucher because I will never shop at Prouds again. I have given my daughter the $50 to spend elsewhere and we won’t be shopping at Prouds again.
DONT TRUST 30 days exchange offer
I got a 1k AU$ worth ring as a gift with option to exchange in 30 days. I wanted to exchange after less than 24 hours from purchase and store refused as ring had signs of wearing. Ring was given to us from display so hundreds people before me could try it on but apparently 1 scratched it in less than 214 hours and to exchange QLD regional manager Adam request us to pay for replating. DONT TRUST THEM as they will always find a way to cheat clients.

How a happy occasion was ruined by Prouds the Jewellers Coffs Harbour
My husband attended the Coffs Harbour Prouds the Jewellers store to purchase a ring as a surprise anniversary gift. He was unsure of the size and was actively encouraged by the salesperson to buy the larger, more expensive ring on the basis he could return it and exchange for the smaller ring. He wasn't advised the price difference wouldn't be refunded. The ring was too large. My husband returned to the same store the next week to exchange the ring, requesting refund of the price difference. He was refused. I also went to the store seeking resolution, the store manager was rude, dismissive and unwilling to assist. At one stage I had to politely request that she not raise her voice at me and during the conversation she also stated "I don't have time for this, I have customers to serve". I just wanted a ring that fitted, I wasn't even offered the option to try any on. I was advised I needed to make a complaint. I left the store with the ring that is too large for my finger feeling very sad and embarrassed by how I'd been treated. My husband tried to buy a beautiful gift for a happy occasion and it's been ruined by our experiences with Prouds the Jewellers at Coffs Harbour.
scratched band
Came in to buy a ring found the one I wanted came home to put on the ring and wore it for an hour then I decided to look at it closer the band is so scratched it’s like someone else has Been wearing it for ages and then taken it back and they put it back to sell to people I feel so ripped off
Prouds Jewelers in Grand Plaza Browns Plains give exceptional service.
I had bought a Seiko King Turtle Automatic watch from Wallace Bishop in Loganholme. Even though brand new, it always stopped overnight, and lost about a minute every 24 hours. While it was still under guarantee, I took it back. The manager of Wallace Bishop Loganholme, who had sold it to me at a discount after obtaining permission from his superior by phone, took the watch and said he would monitor it to see if it stopped or lost time for him. After some two to three weeks, he rang me to say it was performing perfectly for him, and I could come and pick it up. There was no attempt to even send it back to Seiko for checking under the guarantee. When I got home with this watch, it stopped overnight consistently so much,I could not trust it, and wore a cheap digital watch I had bought at Wallace Bishop Loganholme to use while the Indian manager assessed the Seiko. I did not take it back during the warranty period as like a lot of people, I got caught up in the rental crisis, and had to focus on finding somewhere else to live as my aggressive female property manager raised the rent under instructions from the owner. I could not afford to live there, and to avoid living in a tent in a park I took Rent Connect’s advice I contact Calyptus about their brand new purpose built share houses, and I moved into one and put my household into storage for when I hoped the rental crisis would ease. In spite of matching according a profile page Calyptus asked all applicants to fill out, inevitably you get trouble with random people living together, but our house was not as bad as some in the area with police vehicles parked outside some houses as they dealt with warring housemates. I also had a couple of legal issues where I had to self represent in an application to the Fair Work Commission for Unfair Dismissal (subsequently won with an agreement with the ex employer to pay six months salary in settlement) and also a four year unnecessary suspension of my registration as a health professional by AHPRA. Being distracted by these issues, the warranty on my Seiko King Turtle expired, so I eventually took it in to Wallace Bishop in Browns Plains’ Grand Plaza. The woman serving me at their repair counter immediately pulled out a prepaid menu they had prepared, and told me they would require over $300-00 paid up front before they would do anything like send it to Seiko for checking and price. I reasoned that this was probably because the local populace just left watches with them and didn’t pick them up and pay for repairs when notified they were ready. But, I did not want to prepay over $300-00 as Seiko may just recommend a simple service which would be less than the $300-00 plus required by Wallace Bishop. So I took my Seiko just opposite to Prouds Jewelers, and I was served by staff member there who was far more professional and helpful. She said that for just a deposit of $20-00, they would send my watch to Seiko for investigation, phone me with their estimate for repair, and see if I wanted the repair to be carried out for the price quoted. I found this to be far more acceptable than Wallace Bishop’s scheme, so I paid $20-00 and gave the watch to Prouds to send to Seiko. She even warned me it may be some weeks before she would ring me with their quote for repair. Being very satisfied with Prouds more professional approach, I left my watch with them. After some weeks, Prouds rang me with the quote of just $218-00 to have my watch simply serviced by Seiko. I accepted, and was finally rung back to pick it up from Prouds shop in Grand Plaza. Today, I picked up my Seiko King Turtle from Prouds, and paid the $218-00 owing, as this was what remained when the $20-00 deposit was deducted. The result is that now my Seiko Kung Turtle automatic watch runs perfectly, and I am very grateful to the professional staff of Prouds for their treatment of me, even though Seiko is not a brand they tend to sell. I highly recommend Prouds Jewelers in Grand Plaza Browns Plains, as without their professional help, I would not have a perfectly running top of the line Seiko King Turtle. My sincere compliments to the staff of Prouds Jewelers in Browns Plains’ Grand Plaza, Brisbane.
Poor unhelpful customer service Tea Tree Plaza
Purchased an expensive piece of white gold jewellery (braclet) needed it to be altered and length added. Told I would need to purchase a chain that would be used to add length. Sales woman proceed to show me silver chains. I pointed out it is white gold. She questioned that until provided the receipt. However no white gold chains matched the thickness of the braclet. I asked for a refund and was told I could only do an exchange. However there was no other suitable white gold braclets in store. They can not give a solution to have the braclet lengthened as they don't have a necklace to purchase to complete the alterations. Still could not give a refund of the $600. There suggestion was take it to an independent jeweller to alter. Exceptionally poor service.
Bad quility
Bad quility, Gold quility is not trust worthy as they don't take back their own gold (usually all jewellery shops buy/take back atleast their own gold product). I have bought a pair of ear ring last week and I lost one ring very first day I wear them. So I took it back to Prouds Parramatta shop today
I thought they will at least exchange that one ring I have and will charge me a reasonable amount for a new set , instead they refused to take that ring (first time in my life I've seen a jewellery shop refusing to take their own gold, it's it clear from this that their gold quility must be very poor, otherwise, why would they refuse!!) .. I will never buy anything from Prouds and will request everyone to think twice before you buy anything from them.
Great service.
I made a call to Prouds in my area after viewing a pendant online.
Although they did not have it in stock the lady I spoke with was very helpful by looking up a store that did.
I then called and had the item set aside.
In store service was fantastic.
The gentleman who helped me had amazing sales etiquette and was pleasantly helpful.
Prouds at Booval has wonderful staff.
I will be returning in the future.
This Jewellers is great i bought some earrings and they have not rusted
This Jewellers is great i bought some earrings from here and they have not broken of rusted for 1 year i also have two necklaces and they are so pretty and light
Bad customer service
Bad customer service, the sales assistant was very nice and eager to help, it was manager that lacked manners and even disgruntled while advising the nice assistant when a customer asked a question over the phone.
They bring up the most ridiculous excuses on why their products fall apart or change colour, like did you use perfume, or you should air your gold and not leave in the the jewellery box it came in. Very bad quality products
I bought something online
I bought something online, it arrived and it’s great, they don’t put anything on the packaging to indicate its jewellery, it doesn’t say it comes from Prouds the jewellers, I did not buy anything expensive cause I was worried about it being taken but they delivered it to my door, got my signature and now I’ll definitely buy online again. And I’ve never had any issues with prouds jewellery, great shop.
Bought hoop earings at Christmas
Bought hoop earings at Christmas. Wore them 3 times and they broke on the 3rd wear. 9ct gold hoop obviously very poorly made. Don't waste your money go elsewhere.
Terrible product
Terrible product! Received a rose gold wide band ring for Christmas from my partner and it dinted and scratched within hours. It also left my finger with terrible dermatitis from the moisture underneath due to a weird lip on the inner rims of the ring. Tried to get it exchange for another ring but was told it was not damage cause by faulty product but by me. Will not be buying anything else from Prouds. Very very disappointing.
Went to prouds today at Weatherill…
Went to prouds today at Weatherill Park. Saw a pair of gold earrings priced at $99. So I went to purchase them. When the assistant scanned them she told me they are $139.50. I said that's not what the ticket says in big bold writing. She said someone made a mistake and she can't over ride the computer and that she can't give them to me at $99. I said that it says $99 and that's what I should be paying. It's false advertising. I didn't bother arguing and left. Being a Saturday I couldn't even call head office to dispute it. But I will be calling on Monday.
They won't give a refund
They won't give a refund! Husband went to check yesterday and they said OK, but that staff member wasn't there today and the other two so called assistants said no! Brand new watch all still in package & with receipt
Coby at Livingston
We were ðealt with ɓy Coby at Ľivingston and the service was excellent, couldn't have been better. Cobÿ was polite, courteous and knew the products.
