Shocking Solicitors demanding money - QDR
This company sends out threatening letters demanding payment - allegedly on behalf of third parties. They have no proof, do not provide proof when asked, expect you to pay on 7 days without question, but cannot even be bothered to respond in 10 days.
Reported them to regulatory authorities.
They eventually dropped the case when I explained they had no proof of the offence.
BUT NO APOLOGY FOR THE ERROR.
I would never trust this company.
No Evidence, No Lawful Basis, Just Pressure – ICO & SRA Complaints Now Pending
I began receiving vague “confidential correspondence” emails from QDR Solicitors in August 2025, with no explanation. After repeated pressure, they finally disclosed that they were chasing an unpaid parking charge from April 2024 — over 15 months old, and a matter I had never been notified of.
QDR confirmed they obtained my personal data from ZZPS Ltd, who had themselves failed to serve any Parking Charge Notice or follow the required procedures under Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act. QDR has not provided any lawful basis for processing my data — no PCN, no hire agreement, no notice, no consent.
I have now issued QDR with a formal 7-day takedown and erasure notice. If they fail to comply, I will be filing formal complaints with both the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
This firm — rated 1.2 on Trustpilot — appears to operate as the legal arm of ZZPS Ltd, another outfit with a poor public reputation. Their involvement in this speculative and unsubstantiated debt claim raises serious concerns about misuse of legal status, data privacy, and consumer harassment.
Absolutely terrible company
Absolutely terrible company. Had to wait for 20 minutes to be constantly told by an inaffective customer service agent that 'she was waiting for her team to assist with my enquiry'. Payment was made for the fuel but the fine still came from these idiots. Should be shut down and if they are Solicitors they should be reported..!

shocking behaviour untrained staff…
shocking behaviour untrained staff members senior manager avoiding the calls, this firm of thiefs called me for no reason when i had a payment plan set in place money was up to date, ... well i got a call two weeks after it left my bank demanding why its not been paid. then said oh sorry it has its our fault. i had a drop seizure on the phone for 5 minutes on my bed my nurse had videoed it as its her job regardless i am diabled had 7 tumours cut out my head and uncontrollable epilepsy and they have put my account on hold for 60 days and im left waiting in the dark completely unwell again when i was 9 months seizure free, i asked for a manager to call she was a young kid put on the phone as cannon fodder she only knew how to ask me for more money, not address the extreme distress caused by the call in the first place and just carried on, all this for 800 nearly killed me thats not me joking i have all the call recording and the seizure video . these people owned by solicitors think they are above the law . there venerable people policy and training is beyond shocking standards the communication is shocking but to be honest i dont think they care. but as solicitors they have a guild line and they push it to harass people none of the owners have a part to play they set it up to rob people thinking there above the law , first chance i get im suing them for the stress caused yesterday to my health and my family shocking left me having a violent seizure because of there human error, there a danger to people like me aswell should not be in practice full stop, now im left in the dark not knowing and told up to wait for them to call back.... this will absolutely make my health go down the pan. BULLYS. adam taylor if they have the manners to reply.
I keep getting texts on a private…
I keep getting texts on a private unlisted mobile phone number addressed to "JOHN" saying that "an important letter awaits you from QDR Solicitors Please click ????? to view it"
I wasted my time trying to do as asked and nothing! It didn't work nothing opened.
I phoned QDR and the phone was actually answered quite quickly.
I explained about the texts, that I wasn't John, nobody called John used that phone, I had no idea why QDR were trying to contact me and if they wanted to contact me to do so by post.
I was assured the matter would be closed.
It hasn't been, I am still getting texts addressed to JOHN.
QDR just get your collective arses in gear and stop pestering people on phone numbers you should not have.
Go and buy a stamp if you want to contact me.

The worst process and customer service…
The worst process and customer service I have ever experienced. It felt like a scam from beginning to end extremely unprofessional and when I challenged all the 1 star reviews they’d received they told me in a patronising tone that people in debt that they deal with are angry and aggressive !
I received a letter in the post imid March dated January, the letter stated that I’d driven off without paying for petrol, something I’d never do ! I checked my bank statements and I’d paid that petrol station on that date £10.00 but it claimed I owed £20.00.
I rang them straight away but they wouldn’t pick up I opted for a call back which I received a week later !!!!
They were so awful I recorded the call, they wouldn’t let me go directly to the petrol station to rectify and said it was my responsibility to check receipt at the time.
They added a £20 fee on top because I hadn’t paid on time, we conveniently received the letter and call back too late !
I opted to speak to managers and they started threatening police action.
I had to pay them £40 !
I told them they needed to look at their customer service training and module as it was the most horrific company I’ve ever dealt with !!
I am unable to grade any lower than 1…
I am unable to grade any lower than 1 star. Horrendous company. I have a debt they hold from another company with an offer of reduced amount to pay back. I set up a direct debit all confirmed . They didnt take that money out at all no errors. I then received a stroppy email stating I didn't pay them and now full amount is due. Tried ringing a good few times even clicked for a call back in the que. Which never happened. Eventually answered to a foreign voice who kept speaking over me and demanding extra information she didn't require. And refused to put me through to a manager or supervisor. Avoid contact with this company something very wrong with the way they operate .
Scam scam scam
I have one today. Been to police they said- they said just ignore. I will report to action fraud. Anyone else done this? Certain things about letter smack that breach is DVLA. Thank you to all who have reported this.
Update: Now believe company to be genuine. Action fraud said they are definitely the people to report this to. Believe number plate cloned. Said I was to write back saying was not me, give them their ref number and get them to investigate further. Done sent next day signed. Will see what happens. Cost me £8 so far and lots of stress
Robbery in day light
Same, letter from these scammers for unpaid fuel.I have never left petrol station without paying , but when I got the letter I was a bit confused and then the amount of the petrol gave away that this is a scam.
I will not leave this in peace, these scammers need to be dealt with legally.
They cannot repeatedly quote that they got this wrong like other people mentioned.
How about those that have paid it . This is brought light robbery.
I keep getting text messages from this…
I keep getting text messages from this company just saying the initials and that I have an important letter waiting !
I don’t respond as to many scams done this way and if it was anything legitimate they would post a letter to my home address not send a text message.
Don’t Believe A Word!
The most despicable group of chancers I have ever come across.Tried to bully me into paying a debt, luckily I was able to do a bit of research and ultimately told them to stick it.I imagine, due to the duplicitous tactics they apply, that some people end up paying through fear of reprisals. They shouldn’t be allowed to operate in this manner.Parasites!
Bunch scamers!!!!!!

QDR - BOSS LTD - SCAMMING CROOKS
I received a letter from QDR saying they were acting on behalf of BOSS Ltd, who were acting on behalf of Sainsburys that I had driven off the forecourt 130 miles away from my home with £96 worth of petrol. I was actually just coming out of hospital in London! After many e mails backwards and forwards demanding photo evidence and video evidence and informing them that I was charging them £100 per e mail for false accusations they said they would put it on hold. I then went to BOSS Ltd and informed them that they had 7 days to produce the evidence which I did not receive. I then informed them they were causing me alarm harm and distress and ptsd stopping my recovery from surgery and I would be instigating legal proceedings against them - as I have legal contacts. They came straight back at that point saying it was an ANPR misread. THESE PEOPLE ARE CRIMINALS.. MAKE SURE YOU CHALLENGE THESE CROOKS.
False accusations, attempted extortion? & the 24 hour clock
Luckily for us no student excelling at law school has the ambition of ending up at QDR Solicitors. A company that not only refuses to sign their personal names to their threats but also, rather bizarrely, signs off with a jpeg of a 'QDR Solicitors' signature in pencil, like that makes it somehow more official.
Like everyone else here they tried to demand payment for stolen fuel whilst also informing our rental vehicle partner of these accusations also (possible defamation?).
At best it is clear QDR do little to no due diligence, willfully sending off unmerited requests for money. At worst they could be purposefully sending knowingly false requests for payments.
My crime was supposedly having stolen fuel from BP at 04:30 somewhere in Staffordshire. Now here's where QDR failed to fully Columbo the situation... I was in Staffordshire that day! And I did fill up with fuel, and fortunately for me, I had paid for it and left almost exactly 12 hours after the crime.
In QDR's defence no-one had ever explained to them that there are indeed two 4:30s in every single day. Admittedly my 4 year old niece has already grasped the complicated notion of both AM and PM but she already has far greater ambitions than getting a third class law degree from Solent and being forced into a life of trying to take money from innocent old ladies through possibly illegal demands.
It took them a worrying amount of time to realise they couldn't understand the 24h clock and then, rather than apologise and withdraw their accusations of theft, bizarrely just said this case is now closed.
Pretty sure a few of us need to report them to the SRA.
I received a letter demanding payment…
I received a letter demanding payment for outstanding fuel reference 597 4786. They provided a telephone number for telephone payments which was (01926) 758050. I rang this number on three separate occasions the phone just rang and then cut off, this is a dreadful service, especially with a legal threat
