Rafting New Zealand Avis 

A fantastic experience for our whole family! We all absolutely loved it, including the little ones. Jess our guide was awesome, very experienced and knowledgeable about the local area. We would highly recommend this experience!

An awesome experience. The staff were so great, professional, funny, kind & knowledgeable. Our guide Gabe was superb. The cliff diving was a highlight with a hot chocolate to warm you up half way through. The river was beautiful & some really fun rapids. I highly recommend the experience.

What a great day out with my family! We did a grade 2 trip (as my teen daughter had broken arm in a swim cast) and it was amazing! Fun little rapids, cliff jumping, splashing the other boats! Saw a trout, loads of native birds and GORGEOUS scenery. The water was so clear! Our guide Ritai was excellent, fun and informative, told us the legend of the mountains (and some pretty bad trout jokes). Trip was super easy, relaxed and extremely professional. Finished back at base with a vegetarian hot dog for me, and a beer! Great way to end 2020. Definitely coming back for grade 3 once daughters arm heals 👍👍👍

The whole family - 6 yr to 75 yr all had a really good time. And the rafting guys were excellent in every way - start to finish.

I love White Water Rafting with Rafting NZ. Our guide Jesse is awesome and is full of knowledge of the area and gives you the best experience on the Tongariro River. Best scenery in crystal clear waters. Truly recommend!!!

What am amazing adventure for me (the nervous mum!). And my two oldest boys, Mr 14 and Mr 12..they loved it and want to come back for more action. We felt totally safe and in good experienced hands with our guide Jess. She was fantastic and talked us through every bump and thump and gnarly turn in the river. Incredible scenery - just stunning to see the river from this perspective especially through the Gorge... Very special to see quite a few Whio duck pairs too.. I am thankful to our Creator God for a beautiful country to call home and the opportunity to enjoy it from such a fun position!!

Great family trip, Jess was a brillant guide who made you feel very safe. Our two kids had a great time as did grandad and the parents. Will definitely do again when we are back in Dec.

What an amazing adventure my whanau had. Our 10 and 8 year old daughters felt comfortable and safe the whole time and have been raving about it ever since. Thank you to Hannah who was our guide on the day - what a trooper! Highly recommend for the young and old and we will totally be back to do the next level when Miss 8 is old enough.

We had such an awesome experience on the family float rafting trip! After being postponed twice due to weather, we were so grateful that the team managed to juggle our booking and fit us in after the storm passed so our 4 and 6 year old could really enjoy themselves. They had the time of their lives and are asking to go back already! Thanks so much to Jessie and Indi for making our day extra special.

What an awesome day, the guides are professional and even with the change of the river flow we managed the whole grade 3 and 4 without falling out 😂 ☺️ The Hot choco and choco fish was a great touch on the river. Highly recommend Big J, he was alot of fun and very informative.

Wow Wow!!!!myself and 6 close friends done the Grade 4(access 14) which happens only 3x a year!!! We were very anxious but our guide Jes was the bomb!! as long as we all worked as a team we can get down the river, it was fun, adventurous, adrenaline, pumping trip all the way down...... We had such an amazing time, Owen was a great guide who talked us through each rapid so the kids knew what to expect ... we saw a few pairs of whio (blue duck) and many piwakawaka fluttering around us... I recommend rafting the Tongariro River with the whole family, a ride to remember. Thanks for an amazing adventure.

We organised a large group of friends to do grade 2 family fun rafting in the middle of winter and that is exactly what we got! From booking through to rafting it was a really well organsed. The guides were awesome, the weather amazing and the river freezing. It was truly awesome everyone in our group loved it and we were aged 5 through to adults! I strongly recommend getting a group of mates together to do this - so much fun racing and splashing each other!

Amazing experience for the entire family and the team are so friendly and knowledgeable. We had a blast.
