I think “ReadTheory” is an absolutely amazing website! It is very helpful. “ReadTheory” definitely helps me and others with reading comprehension struggles get better at it! I have always been bad at reading comprehension and read below grade level, but with this I have gotten better and want to continue to get better. I have even made a goal to work on my reading comprehension for at least 20 minutes a day every day for a whole year in hopes to be much better at reading comprehension and I definitely am planning to continue to use “ReadTheory” to accomplish that goal.

Bad experience, this is the worst website to learn, literally. There's everything that is wrong, and the worst part, subjective questions that can be wrong.

IT is not helpful at all to my learning and provides false information about various things.

My son is in 6th grade and has to complete 3 read theories a week. Of course we work until he makes a 100 on them. The subject matter is hit and miss and the questions are overly complicated. Up to 3 ads with every passage to read. The ad's are incredible distracting. I as a parent would not recommend this program.

I would just like to say that out of all my years of being a student, ReadTheory is by far one of the worst (if not the most) terrible programs I have EVER used. The questions are insanely vague and the answers feel like they're not letting you into a secret world or language. It's made me really contemplate how hard teachers research sites to give their students. The only thing it could possibly be compared to is a website called CommonLit which was also terrible and made me suffer almost as much as I do with this site. If you're a teacher reading this and pondering whether you should provide this service to your students, don't you dare give them this. I've struggled on this site so much that I've compiled a folder of screenshots from questions and answers that don't make sense in the slightest. It really says a lot if I'm going out of my way typing this with 28 other people in my favor.

Please, never assign ReadTheory. Your students will thank you in the long run once they hear all the terrible stories of the company from colleagues.

This Website needs a heck of a mile of improvement.
It's a waste of time. The answers to questions are wrong often, the website is very buggy (when i'm trying to log on, it kicks me off!). Not to metion they put a whole bunch of useless and distracting adds all over the place!
The most important thing is that YOU DON'T LEARN ANYTHING!!! For me, I learn more just reading books myself. Teachers, THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!!!!!!!! Don't get this scam of a educational website!

you suck read theory

I think read theory is not the best platform to read and learn. Me personally I haven't had the experience I thought I was signing up for. Honestly I would give it a half star if I could but there is no option to do that. Also in the grade level progression it says that I am a grade that I was 5 quizzes behind from what I actually was. In summary I would not recommend read theory to anyone, actually I would warn them that It is a severe let down and It did not help me at all. So don't use read theory!

If I were to be in hell on earth Read Theory would be the place. With crappy UI and horrible quizes this is not the correct website if you going to teach you child how to read. I would rather have read a garfield book and that would probably have more information on the world. Like, i don't care about concord. How will that increase my brain power learning about something outdated. I swear all of these quizes were made for 2 year olds and the site was made in 1999 and was never updated, if I can find an efficent; relevent, actually useful quiz I will make sure to update my review.

This website is for shucking slint heads I would rather fight a Greiver and go through the changing then do read theory. It makes me dumb

This is a terrible website. I am in my schools top reading group and know that a lot of the answers that read theory said are correct are actually wrong. I just had the question that says what is the reason for the author talking about different things that a newspaper will write. They talked about celebrities wars and current events, I said it was too explain the wide range of things that newspapers have. According to Readtheory the answer was too show how the life of celebrities isn't a big deal compared to other stuff they mention. This is just wrong and it makes me like reading less because I think about the experience I have on this app which I have to assume is made by a group of sadists given how much pain it has caused me.

Dear teachers, I hate read theory. So one time I got placed at a third grade level (I am a 6th grader and at a 9th grade level) and I took this third grade quiz and got a perfect score... and I went up an ENTIRE GRADE. And if you get less than 70, you go DOWN A GRADE. I made it to 10th grade, but I was taking a quiz when these ads just started popping up everywhere, I couldn't read the quiz, everything was glitchy and some of the ads were not only distracting but INAPROPRIATE! You suck, Read theory. You could be better if you improved the grade level system to something like how Iready does it and if you got rid of the ads. EISPECIALLY GET RID OF THE ADS THEY ARE DISTRACTING AND INAPROPRIATE!!!!!!

I would rate it negative if I could.

I was billed for a year, even though the original subscribtion was made for a month. - On top of that the monthly subscribtion was cancelled as I started it, as I knew I only needed it for a month.

Hoax and scam, save your money and trouble and don't give them your credit card info as they will bill you more than agreed.
Also made an inqury to them 2 weeks ago, no respond what so ever.

When I was doing a quiz, the options we could choose from were football, soccer and something else I put football as the answer but it said soccer was correct and not football.

THeY SaiD its called SOCCer not football I will KArim benzenma them

They Said Soccer, not Football this is outrageous I'm not American. One Star. Please fix it
