Keep looking

We paid for two months of regain. During that time there are weeks you're unable to schedule with your counselor, and you just eat the money. If you cancel early (we canceled three weeks before the end of our renewal) we were blocked from switching counselors and could not see our own. So we are truly paying for 4 weeks of therapy for one session, which was $300. I don't recommend this company

Ease of use and great therapist

I loved that I could select the qualities I was looking for in a therapist and then get matched with one that has those qualities. Our match with Mary is a great fit, and such a relief after trying several therapists that I just didn't connect with (in person). I was both doubtful and hopeful about trying online therapy, but I am so glad that I did. The intake process was very easy and the app is also easy to understand and use, even for a non-technical person like me!

Good idea in practice but it didn’t…

Good idea in practice but it didn’t work for us. It was difficult to arrange an appointment with the therapist due to the time difference and on the second appointment the therapist was a no show, with no message and no cancellation. Shockingly unprofessional. As a result, we managed one session during the month’s subscription which made this a very expensive and inefficient service.

Our therapist, Amber, is heaven-sent and has been key in helping us navigate the worst thing that can happen in a marriage: loss of trust and loss of emotional connection. Amber perfectly blends direct feedback in a caring manner while remaining supportive and encouraging. She doesn't pull any punches and provides feedback in a manner that is understandable and acceptable. She is the best, and I'm so thankful for her being in our lives.

It helps to have a third party that will listen to both couple unbiased.

Overall experience with Regain's customer service was excellent and I said that because I felt heard every time I reached out to them. You can tell that clients needs are important to them because they do their best to assist you from finding the best fit therapist to financial assistance if needed. I personally love the experience I had with the therapist they paired us with.

I have referred this to my friends

I tried another therapy app before and it wasn’t a good fit for me. Absolutely nothing about it was. I hesitated with this one but ultimately, I hit the jackpot. On my first attempt, I matched with the perfect therapist for me. I’ve been in therapy for over 20 years and I have had no luck finding a good fit, until now. For anyone who is curious, her name is Ellen. I know they have lovely staff there so give it a chance, no matter who you’re matched with! The system is very simple to use and best of all, the price isn’t outrageous. Getting help is made easy with this app.

Incredibly stupid system

Incredibly stupid system. I was scammed 2 entire sessionss. Paid for 4 weeks (4 sessions and only had two sessions. I had the next booked in and I went to have the session only to be told I can't because my next payment didn't go through! Wasted my time and therapist lost our on pay and time! Disgusting app the way you charge people and cut them off if next pay doesn't go through. Never again. Disgusting!

Therapy is my self care

I was not sure what to expect going into something that is mostly accessible online. It was important that I could find a way even with my constantly evolving schedule, so we gave it a shot.
I am extremely happy knowing it isn’t going to break my piggy bank, I can afford this.
What I pay for a month, I have in the past paid for just one session. I work in an industry that does not provide benefits. I am a self-pay, No medical insurance family.
To feel like a company actually cares, that you are not just a bottom line , They’re not trying to just profit. That’s huge.
I always thought it wasn’t fair that you had to be loaded with extra money in order to receive some tools to help us cope in this crazy world.
I have access to my therapist on the app and I can text in messages when I’m having a moment I need to vent. I need some encouragement. I need someone to help me with my anxiety. I am human. I have many emotions. I wasn’t brought up with an understanding of mental health and definitely not how to cope with overwhelming stress.
Better Help really makes you not feel alone, knowing that you can send a message and a person will get back to you rather quickly, I needed that. I know I have the community in my Better Help app.
I have been telling more friends and family, and been open about me using therapy sessions.
I see so many people that want to feel better, want to do better, but don’t know where to start.
For me, having access to BetterHelp & Regain, has definitely made a positive improvement in my overall well-being. Thank you so much.

Terrible customer service and knowledge of therapeutic process

March 4th no reply or update to start therapy

Update as of match 2nd . The manager reached out and was very condescending to me and stated this is "outside of our standard operating procedures" but nothing I asked for sending a message to my therapist about inquiry or notes is normal mental health processes. He was extremely condescending in his response. He also ONLY responded to me because I publicly again reviewed and updated my review. Do not chose this company for support. They will not help you until you write a review or threthen to report to the board. Getting help should be smooth helpful process not months of gaslighting, ignoring, and then condescending when you ask dor help or clarification.
Recent update as of 2/29 still no therapy has started. They keep repeating the same answers and not answering questions. No one at all has offered to call me back! They have emailed me at the bare minimum and changed their story and said now therapist can fill out documents but it is up to them. I requested for my therapist to be notified that I wanted those and they refused. They said it sup to me but I do not want to be matched with a therapist who can't meet what i need. They just keep repeating same sentence. All they care about is money. Not quality of service or serving clients requests at all. Will be contacting a legal team with all my communication and reporting to the licensing board. Feel bad for the therapist but because of neglect from staff and unwilling to communicate. They never sent the therapist a message or offered to facilitate anything. I would love a phone call and to facilitate communication with my therapist to resolve this but doubt they even care or will respond. Just going to keep leaving reviews

Been trying to start the process of therapy there for couples for 2 weeks. Already matched with a therapist but confused on how it works and questions about payment. I contacted support 7 times and each time they just give me the same vague answer and end the chat. I'm serious about getting help but it takes someone days to reply to me then another agent chimes in and starts again a few days later and I repeat the process and still have not begun therapy. No one helps me or answers any of my questions. I can't ask my therapist how this work or I get charged 65 dollars just to ask a question. I would love to be contacted about billing and get an answer tomorrow and start seeing my therapist. I ask one question and they answer it then say have a nice day. No one sticks around long enough to help. I have already written 3 public reviews and will continue to find every platform until someone calls and cares enough to help me get started. They do not really care about anything except taking your money and shutting you up.

Best app ever

the ability to contact your therapist when urgent is amazing! It's easy to use, affordable, and you don't have to get out of your house! Also if you are shy and don't feel like face to face you can speak on the phone.

I thought WE were OVER!

So my hubby and I were going through some serious life changes and disagreements about work and location to start a family and buy a home or land. We were at each other every day, we were not talking to each other anymore but at each other. I ordered a four on for our second bedroom office. It was getting out of hand. We then learned about REGAIN through my husbands work company, Frito Lay, there were three free sessions, so we said why not? We are now 10 sessions in and scheduled and we absolutely love it. Our DR. Kirlik Is absolutely amazing. She has the best ideas, and she is really rooting for us. We are finally talking again and fixing our issues when I thought the relationship was definitely over. I only agreed to do counseling because I thought they would agree as well. But instead, we are being reminded what we love about one another and have exercises and homework like journaling that just bring us closer together. None of it takes much time we meet with Dr. Kirlik in our office, bedrooom, or living room, right on our phone! I also love the app and the worksheets you can access as well as the journal you can choose to share with your therapist and mate or just your therapist. I highly recommend REGAIN, it has given us another chance and we are so happy we decided to join and give this relationship the effort it deserves!

Excellent on-boarding process

Excellent on-boarding process. We are using Regain for couples counseling to help increase our skills especially around communication and intimacy. Our therapist was quickly matched based on our preferences and the match is a great fit for us! Even if it wasn't a great fit, I love the assurance of knowing that we can switch to another provider if needed later on.

I also love the customer support, we were offered a new customer discount and even some swag to help spread the word about BetterHelp and Regain.

Regain has been a blessing for my relationship

Regain has been a blessing for my relationship. My husband and I hit some really hard financial times and not only did we need therapy to support us through it, but we needed a therapy program that we could afford. Not only has our therapist, Heather, been so kind, compassionate, and insightful - Regain was able to work with our financial limitations. They offered a sliding scale that realistically worked within our budget and then proceeded to work with us when we needed to reduce our sessions to a biweekly schedule. Corporate staff have always been compassionate and prompt in their responses, which took a load off of our shoulders as we navigated such a tough time in our relationship. We are forever grateful.

Regain needs to better screen their therapists

We were quite disappointed with Regain as the company needs to somehow screen their therapists better. We chose Regain for the affordability and the large array of possibilities of finding a skilled therapist. Unfortunately, Regain has limited licensed LMFT, and chose Tamara Rood. From the very beginning, we told her we needed an unbiased therapist who can work with both of us. Instead, she was inexperienced with couples and a misandrist. Although, I was the cheater in the relationship, Tamara believed I could do nothing wrong, while my partner was always at fault even though he’s been sincerely trying even more to move forward with me. The cause behind infidelity was rarely discussed even though each session I have asked to find out the root of my problems. She could not give specific examples to her attacks on my partner during our solo session, and brought a lot of her past ill personal relationships to our session. We stayed with Tammara for a few months hoping for the best. She was unable to provide us with sound advice and suggested reading materials that she had not screened.

Ex Partner was able to charge sessions to my CC

Was using Regain for a few months. Despite a rocky start with the first Therapist missing sessions and showing up late we found one that was good. Unfortunately despite our and our therapists best efforts the relationship ended. I canceled my subscription thinking that would be that. Little did I know that my partner was able to restart the subscription using my Credit Card information I used starting my account. I was charged the subscription fee and there was no way for me to remove my credit card information. This forced me already in a bad place due to a break up to have to contact my ex and to try to get her to pay me back and update the CC with her info. Not only that but now I'm getting notifications every time she schedules a session and messages the therapist. She told me she would change the CC info but it still is showing up as mine on the web site. This is super unprofessional and unacceptable for a "Therapy" app I would avoid using this if you can until they fix the HUGE safety issues.

Urgent Concerns Regarding Regain.us Service

I am urgently reaching out to express my profound disappointment with the services provided by RegainUS. My experience has been disheartening, particularly in terms of communication and sensitivity.

RegainUS struggles with effective communication between clients and the therapists selected for assistance, raising concerns about the ability of technical support to engage appropriately.

In my personal experience, using RegainUS to navigate a long-distance relationship resulted in an unexpectedly negative outcome.
During a live video session with a RegainUS therapist we broke up, it was for the best, no problem there.

When my partner, who initiated the joint account and purchased the sessions, requested my removal from the account, the process proved arduous, necessitating direct communication with RegainUS Support.

A couple of days later, RegainUs emailed me saying that i was removed from the account and that i WOULD NOT be getting any more notifications and whatnot. all good, i go on with my life, wanting to turn the page, closing this chapter.. or so i though.

Months later, while actively engaged in post-breakup therapy in real life, I received an email from RegainUS stating that the account, inaccurately referring to my ex-partner as my current partner, would be deleted.
After three months of the breakup, this triggered emotional distress during an already challenging time. Seeking clarification replying to the emaili yielded unsatisfactory responses, with RegainUS attributing the incident to their procedure and suggesting I open a new account for assistance. ($$$$?)

The demonstrated lack of emotional intelligence and compassion within the therapist/support community associated with RegainUS is concerning.
I even believe such an approach could potentially lead individuals with serious mental health issues to episodes of self-harm.

Last time regainUS replied to me was over two weeks ago, email dates don't lie, wish i could upload pictures here.

I strongly discourage using this service unless it is an absolute last resort.

It sounds like there was either an error with how our Success Team configured your account when you requested to be removed as the "partner" several months ago, or there's perhaps an update to our automated email procedures that needs to be considered for unique cases like this.

Separately, our hope is that any interaction with our Success Team would result in you walking away feeling supported and uplifted. I'm saddened to hear this wasn't the case!

Recommend speaking to a Therapist to refresh!

Working with Regain and BetterHelp was an excellent experience. The method of becoming a client and the quality of the counselor was above my expectations. After this session, I think everyone should at least speak to someone once a year to check-in on their feelings and experiences over the year. Just like a doctor's appointment, you be surprised at the results of sharing things with a qualified therapist. It was like going to the gym, hard to get their but once you finish, you fee refreshed and energized. Thanks to Regain!
