Total Scam

Aside from the initial sign up email, there is absolutely NO notification that you are in fact charged WEEKLY, regardless of sessions booked. No emails, no notice of upcoming charges, no reminder of recurring billing. I had ONE session, and have since paid $900. Sometimes my therapist wouldn’t respond for 5 days to book a session. This is a complete and total scam. I am absolutely sick over how much money this company has charged me.

We try to make it clear on the billing page that you're agreeing to ongoing membership renewals every 7 days until you cancel (which can be done with a few clicks from your Payment Settings page). Paid for therapy I didn’t receive

I do not recommend this platform.

I paid a total of $664 through a weekly subscription plan, but I did not receive all of the therapy sessions I was supposed to. The platform itself has usability issues, and more importantly, my assigned therapist did not have consistent availability.

At one point, nearly an entire month passed without any sessions because there were no available time slots, yet I continued to be charged as usual. Paying for a service that is not being delivered is simply unacceptable.

I have requested a full refund for the sessions I did not receive, as well as the immediate cancellation of my subscription to avoid further charges.

This platform was supposed to support us, but instead it has become an additional source of stress. I hope they address this situation promptly and fairly.

We were lucky enough to find a great therapist first time who understood the complexities of relationships and neurodivergence. He has helped us enormously to think about how we communicate with one another.

We have uncovered and worked through past traumas and how these are impacting our interactions, and I feel more positive about our future together.

I had a really frustrating experience…

I had a really frustrating experience with Regain and would not recommend it.

I signed up and paid without having any idea who my therapist would be. Only after committing was I assigned someone—who, it turned out, had no availability for two weeks. I received what felt like a copy-pasted introduction message, and after that, communication was extremely poor. I would go over a week without any reply, despite actively trying to reach out.

Meanwhile, I was still being charged weekly.

When the day of my first scheduled session finally arrived, the therapist simply didn’t show up. No explanation, no message—nothing. Then I received a notice saying she would be on holiday the following week. At that point, I had already paid for multiple weeks with no actual service.

To their credit, customer support initially gave me 7 extra days for free after I raised concerns. But overall, I still ended up paying for about 4 weeks and only got a single session out of it. I’ve now been matched with a new therapist, who I do like, but by this stage, I could have seen a reputable in-person therapist for the same price and avoided all this stress.

What’s worse is that I’ve continued trying to contact support, and now I’m not even getting responses anymore.

This whole system feels disorganized and unreliable. I have proof of everything and the experience has been incredibly disappointing. I would strongly advise others to think twice before signing up.

Extremely poor and unethical advice

Extremely poor and unethical advice.
Before even video chatting my partner and I in an initial session, her advice was to suggest we have an abortion! My partner and I are a working couple, with no issues except financial stress and fighting that I asked for help with and her advice over text was to suggest I have an abortion. Like what educated therapist tells someone they should

Never Used, stole hundreds of dollars every month

I would give 0 stars if possible. I never consented to receiving treatment and did not participate but they continued to charge my card 280 bucks a month. never emailed me to say they were charging my card, they just charged it. Will be opening a fraud compliant through my credit card.

It’s a scam

It’s a scam, I feel like they have used my vulnerability to take advantages of me and take my money. I have never signed up for a membership, I paid for 3 sessions as advertised, and I thought I would have continued if I liked it, as I was desperate for help but at the same time I was struggling with my finances and couldn’t waste out money. after the third session, my therapist has asked me if I wanted to continue and I explained them that at that time unfortunately I had to focus on other things. Since then, I never, NEVER EVER, had an email remainding me to book my next appointment AS IT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR WITHOUT ME KNOWING, until finding out about the money out from my credit card, and after sending a message saying that if I knew I was subscribed I would have attended sessions for those last 3 months, I mean who pays for nothing? After that, I get an email reminding me to book my appointment… how convenient? For sure I had to read terms and conditions better, but I believe they advertise this service in the wrong way. Very unprofessional cause people who ask for help and pay for it, are vulnerable and shouldn’t be treated like this.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking, avoid at all costs!!
Membership renewed without any warning, you also have to pay up front for 4 weeks…myself and my partner received one 1 therapy session during this time.
Our therapist was highly unprofessional, took a week off which meant we missed out on a session and then he gave the most ridiculous made up excuse to cancel the next appointment!! No option to rebook or make up for these 2 lost sessions. Completely unacceptable and no understanding whatsoever.
This is disgusting, shocking and has deeply upset myself and my ex partner who wanted to so much to make it work for us so that we could be hopeful about our relationship. Now it is all lost.

Asks for 4 payments up front before even speaking to the therapist

I signed up, but immediately faced with payment, they ask you to pay for a month upfront, which is crazy as you don't get to choose a therapist. One is just assigned to you and there is no way to contact them or ask questions before you commit to pay. It would be better if you were allowed to pay for one session up front to see if they are the right therapist for you. The whole structure seems absolutely about making money up front, with very little reassurance.
I didn't pay because I wanted to think about it, in the last week I have received 3 emails asking me to pay.

I got charged 8 TIMES in the span of A FEW WEEKS for a therapy session I never had.
They charge it one day after the other sometimes.
Absolute scam.
Do not do it.

Very disappointing, too little flexibility

We have been attending couples therapy through Rgain for over six months. Unfortunately, the service structure does not allow any flexibility, even when it is clearly needed.

Our sessions are limited to 45 minutes, which is not enough time for three people to discuss sensitive and complex topics properly. We requested 90-minute sessions every two weeks instead, which would cost the same overall, but were told this is not allowed due to company policy.

This rigid system makes the therapy feel rushed and less effective. Despite explaining our situation and needs, no accommodation was offered.

For a service focused on mental health and relationship support, a lack of flexibility and client-centred care is disappointing.
