Regus want the money but don’t want the responsibility
We have an office space with Regus in Bristol, UK. We have constant issues in the building, freezing cold in the winter, unbearably hot in the summer. We have complained several times and the local team never do anything. They conducted temperature tests in the summer and proved the extreme heat. They just say they will send an email to the landlord which we never get a reply. We’ve had to send staff home due to unsuitable working conditions of both cold and heat, it is not fit for purpose. We have been told in the winter by the team that the landlord purposely doesn’t turn the heating on until well into October, this is blatant cost saving and a breach of our contract to provide suitable conditions. We have also been told the air conditioning isn’t sufficient to reach our office as it’s on the top floor and far corner.
We have contacted Regus/IWG explaining these unsuitable conditions and requesting to leave due to their inability to provide an habitable workspace and they just tell us to speak to the local team, who as explained above do nothing, or we find another tenant if we want to leave. So we pay Regus and have a contract with them but they won’t do anything despite these blatant breaches of contract to provide a suitable workspace. Disgraceful and incompetent customer service.
