Scam

Took money for June’s book, still not received it. No response from their customer service. Wish I have read the reviews before ordering. Certainly a lesson for the future

The company have folded but are still…

The company have folded but are still taking money, please do not buy anything from them. I was subscribed for about a year and everything was fine, and then they gradually got worse and it was clear they were struggling, until the boxes just stopped altogether. Please don't give them anymore money!

Scam

Scam. No response from customer service, social media, or from the owner. Can’t believe this has happened. I paid upfront for a 12 month subscription and haven’t and won’t receive half of them? The company doesn’t exist anymore! Sad and lost so much money - beyond me why this is allowed to happen

Disappointed

Disappointed, frustrated and upset.
Like many others money has been taken but nothing received since May. I messaged on Twitter- they blocked me. Facebook- removed comments. Emails are ignored. Very unprofessional. However, you are still able to spend money with them. They should have sent an email explaining the situation rather than blocking customers who just want to know what is happening.

One star is one star too many! Renewed a lapsed subscription, they have taken 3 payments off my account but sent me nothing! They do not respond to emails or direct messages on Instagram! I want my money back!!

Long term customer now cancelling my subscription

I have been a subscriber for the past three years and the past year the boxes have been late if turning up at all, finding myself having to email every month asking where my box is and not getting it again until the beginning at best of the next month, i have still not received my june and july box and yet again had to email, i am really disappointed as i loved this subscription box and being a long term customer i should not have to keep chasing what i pay for, yet still happy to take my money, i will now be cancelling my subscription and stopping the payments, as i feel i have allowed this to go on for too long and nothing has improved but gotten worse

I've been a subscriber for over a year, but...

I've been a subscriber for over a year and I loved their boxes. Since this year they have been arriving later and later until the June and July boxes stopped arriving at all even though payment was still taken. I paid through PayPal so I have been able to claim my money back. I'm just really disappointed because I loved the boxes and even if they have folded, it would have been more professional to let their customers know, rather than still take our money!

BE AWARE THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN DISSOLVED

Ordered in June 2022 after seeing reviews etc online and it seemed perfect, but middle of July they tried taking money from my account for the next month and I still hadn't received my box. No response from the company via email, form or social media. Checked companies house and it was dissolved December 2021. If you have a subscription/made an order, claim it back from your bank because you will not be receiving anything

As other reviews, ordered but didn’t receive. Ordered for a friend’s birthday was very disappointed and have now claimed a refund through my bank as no response from this ‘company’.

I think they operate under other names so be wary when looking for similar subscriptions!

If it was possible to review with negative stars, I would. I started subscribing when the company first started out. I loved it so much, it was my favourite thing to look forward to and each month I would get so excited. As COVID first started I cancelled my original subscription. I renewed it again in June, but never received anything. I still haven't. I've emailed them directly and messaged them through their website almost everyday for the last 3 weeks. I've never received anything in return. Not even a simple "thanks for your email" confirmation. I am so disappointed. I'm quite sad about it actually. Which might seem silly but this subscription was something that brought me so much joy for a couple of years. And now I'm reading through all these other reviews and hundreds of others have dealt with almost the EXACT same thing. I loved this company. Now...I'm just sad.

Disappointing

Disappointing. I was so happy to receive this as a Christmas gift from my husband, but in 7 months I have only received 4 packages and half of those I have had to chase. The concept is great and the book selections that have arrived have been varied and enjoyable, but I have not received anything in June or July and despite sending 4 messages so far, there has been no response.

Avoid!!!!

I, like many others, haven't received my subscription box and all attempts to contact this company are completely ignored. They clearly are no longer trading but are still taking people's money. I have successfully claimed my money back through my bank within a matter of 1 working day so anyone who is in the same position please contact your bank. Avoid!!

So very disappointing

I signed up in April, and had to chase the first two boxes, but they did eventually arrive. However, no sign of the June or July boxes, and now radio silence from Customer Services.
I've raised with my credit card company, as there's no other way to speak to them...
So very disappointing as it was a great idea.

Seems to be Fraud

Seems to be Fraud - told me to contact them if delivery hadn’t arrived by a certain date, have since just ignored my messages. I’m now raising a claim through my card.

Sadly I agree with all other comments, sounded great- but a 3 month subscription in April has resulted in one delivery so far. There is no way of contacting a 'real' person that I can see.
As a birthday gift this has been an absolute disaster.

Undelivered books

Books ordered in May, nothing arrived. Check out twitter to see that I'm not the only one complaining. Please contact your bank about claiming your money back if you've also has a non delivery of books.

AVOID!! charging but not posting !!!

Two boxes in a row did not arrive and still show as ‘processing’ on the website. No answer to emails, my many Facebook messages or answers to the contact form on their website to reach them. They have turned comments off on their Facebook posts also and deleted comments from other (many) upset customers who were commenting asking for refunds. Absolutely disgraceful. Reported the company to facebook and have asked my bank to request refunds as the company appear to be fraudulent. AVOID!!!!

Took my money but no boxes...

I paid up front for a 6 month subscription in May and have yet to receive anything. I got a reply to the first e-mail I sent but since then have had no replies at all. If I haven't received anything by the end of July I'll be making a report through CAB to Trading Standards. I really wish I had checked these reviews before paying the money.

This subscription used to be amazing…

This subscription used to be amazing until April this year when the boxes just stopped arriving full stop or coming really late. I chased April's and in fairness to the team they did send a replacement out straight away. May's didn't arrive either until after weeks of chasing it finally did on the 10th June. June's box hasn't arrived despite them taking another charge from my account. Customer services are rude and dismissive and seem to be just completely ignoring people now. They haven't posted on social media in weeks and are deleting all negative comments from social media instead of addressing the issues. It feels like the business has folded despite the fact they are still advertising and taking people's money. It's a real shame as I have subscribed for years and the boxes are really good. I can't find anything similar that looks anywhere near as good. But I've now cancelled my subscription and would say to anyone thinking of subscribing to be very wary. Something is obviously going on as there are so many unhappy customers.
