Very poor - no boxes received for past two months

Had to chase for the May box which was eventually received 3 weeks late and since then nothing received despite paying for a 6 month subscription. There are no replies to emails or via the website. Appalling that they are still taking people's money with no explanation for the delays.

Avoid like the plague

No box this month either and no response to emails, just like everyone else complaining here. I have just tweeted them and checked their Instagram - they were still posting until 28th June. And yes, they are still taking people’s money on their website. Appalling.

All the poor reviews are correct

All the poor reviews are correct! 2 months subscription paid, no box received. No answer to emails & comments deleted off Facebook. If I could give 0 stars I would. Thank goodness I paid via PayPal and got refunds.

Orders were never received

Orders were never received, first month I chased up they eventually resent and I got it. Second month again nothing received emailed and no reply, even after two follow up replies no reply. I cancelled subscription but lost money. Don’t waste your money!

I think they might have folded.
I paid for a three month subscription in April. I received one box in June but only after numerous emails chasing. I have chased the June box twice but haven’t even received an email acknowledgment. I can only assume they have gone out of business. I tested the website, which is still up and running and it still allows you to purchase! Do not waste your money, I fear I won’t get mine back.

Started off great but now feels like a scam

This started out as a great subscription service. I loved that the books were ones I wouldn’t usually choose for myself but really enjoyed them. The drinks and snacks were nice, the beauty products were lovely and the little homeware items/stationery were beautiful.
Then it started going wrong. Boxes didn’t turn up so I had to chase them. It was made more difficult because the Royal Mail tracking was only to show when it had been delivered. Once chased they would reply within a day and I would receive the boxes but it happened a lot and I feel like the onus shouldn’t be on me to ensure the box arrives.
My May box didn’t arrive until halfway through June and my June box still hasn’t arrived. I’ve emailed and messaged and had no reply. The comments have been switched off on their social media accounts which speaks volumes. People have speculated that the company has gone under and a search for “The Ampersand Book Co” shows that they’re temporarily closed.
I’m so disappointed as it was a great box but not letting us know that they’re not going to honour the subscription feels rather amateurish.
I’ve cancelled the subscription and will now try to get a refund for the missing box.

Orders never received

I ordered two gifts for friends’ birthdays in may and they were never received. The company is not responding to emails or Facebook messages, and has deleted my comments on their Facebook page asking customer services to get in touch. Yet, they’re still advertising!! Don’t fall for it people, they’ll take your money and you won’t receive anything 😤

If I could rate 0 I would! Unfortunately I didn’t see the reviews either, I just saw the website and thought they looked legit so decided to do a subscription with them. I ordered a box on 24th June but the order is still processing but quick enough to take the money out of my account. I’ve started going through their customer service/support team but to my surprise no reply.

If anyone knows how to go about reporting these scammers let me know please? Something seriously need to be done about this as they ain’t sticking to there end of the contract

Initially great, then terrible

Initially great, but now terrible.

I signed up for the Reposed monthly subscription in October 2020and I signed my mum up as a Christmas present in December 2020. Things were initially great. The books were good choices and I liked the little treats. But over the course of 2021, the service got worse and worse. I was quite forgiving when lockdowns and covid were impacting on post, etc, but in 2022 I’ve had to chase every box. Also fewer items in each box, which is understandable as prices have risen and the box price remains the same, but it would have been better if Reposed had communicated that they wouldn’t be including stationery items any more.

Each time I’ve chased they have got in touch quickly and sent a new box. However, customers shouldn’t have to chase every month. I haven’t received the June box and no reply to my chaser this time, so I guess it’s bye bye Reposed.

Your boxes won’t arrive. Period.

Your boxes won’t arrive, and when you write (because they have no number) to ask where it is…they don’t reply! So it’s literally just throwing money down the toilet. I really wanted to love this - it’s a wonderful idea, however, I started my subscription in April and was supposed to get my first box in the second week of May…nope. So I wrote to them, was told I’d get a replacement…nope, so I wrote to them again, was told I’d get a replacement…nope. So I wrote to them saying ‘is my address correct?’, yeah it is, we’ll send a replacement. It arrived two weeks later - like bang average; a tiny book, small bit of chocolate and two teabags. Ironically that one arrived at the time my June box should have arrived. My June box hasn’t of course. I’ve been writing to them for three weeks…nooooo reply to speak of. Genuinely the worst subscription service ever, what is the literal point.

Take the money you would have spent on this to an independent book shop, ask whoever works their for their recommendation and buy it.

Sadly I didn’t see all of these reviews before purchasing a subscription. Like all of the other negative reviews I have not received anything yet (and should I trust the reviews, I won’t) and I haven’t received any answer to my e-mails.

I am the same as many many others

I am the same as many many others, and if I could give 1 star I would.
I had a subscription bought for me last year, and that was all well and good. They arrived in the claimed time, and I enjoyed all the books I received and even lent them to family members.
I had such a good experience, I then ordered a 6 month subscription for my mum for £80. I ordered this in May and was informed that I was too late for it to be delivered in May and it would be received by 15th June (at the latest) and then when it didnt arrive I emailed. This email was responded to saying I needed to wait a further 7 days before it is stated as lost, which I did, still no box. Emailed again, as we are now in July and my Mum hasn't got the June box. No reply. I can see from everyone else's reviews this is unlikely to arrive but this is a pure scam. Not sure what happened between last year, and now, but it is shocking service especially for something that costs a lot of money. £80 is a lot, and you have kept my money with no sign of a product.
I have requested a full refund, but imagine that email will go responded to as well. I got my Mum a little something to open on her birthday, but this was the main gift. Very very dissappointed.

AVOID!!!

I purchased a box, 5 weeks later and it hasn't arrived - no reply to the email I sent or the social media messages.
Avoid at all costs!

Avoid Avoid Avoid!

Used to be great but I have had to chase the last few boxes and still haven’t received the June one. All emails are going unanswered, my comments on their social media have been deleted and blocked. I had just paid for a new 6 month subscription for my Mum’s birthday which I doubt she will receive any of. Don’t waste your money with them.

If I could give no stars for this, I would. I've had a subscription with reposed before and never had any problems so recently reactivated on 19th May. I was expecting a box in early June and when it hadn't arrived when I expected, I contacted them via social media who advised me to email. I emailed and they asked me to leave it until 7 days after the expected arrival date as per royal mail guidelines. It didn't arrive. I emailed reposed again letting them know it hadn't arrived. And have done everyday since as they appear to be ignoring my emails. In the meantime they have taken another payment for the July box which I'm not holding my breath over receiving so have cancelled subsequent boxes after that.

I have seen the countless negative reviews for this company, and instead of trusting my previous good experience, I wish I'd trusted the reviews that state that their customer service and processes have gone completely down the pan.

Really disappointed

Update. Emailed three times. No response. Also sent two messages on instagram. Haven’t received two boxes but they’ve taken money for both. They’re still active and sending targeted ads.

Really disappointed. Ordered this as a treat but after paying for May and June, I still haven’t received a box. I reached out to them via email twice and on their Instagram and have no response. I suspect they’ve gone bust.

I always like to give businesses a chance even when they have bad reviews, but they are all correct. Not received the first box, sent an email that said the box will be coming soon. It's never come and now I've been charged for the second one.
