Terrible service and no response

Terrible service. The chair arrived broken, and I received no response at all from the company, despite emailing and calling. I had to contact my bank for a refund. Very disappointing.

Use with caution

Order placed 20Feb, chair received made very loud squeaking and clicking noises(indicates not checked before being sent out). Contacted them immediately and problem was not able to be fixed so agreed an exchange.

Chair was not collected as agreed and had to contact them several times before this could be arranged. The delivery of the replacement, despite being assured it had been processed never happened, weeks of chasing and finally received courier confirmation it had been processed.

Chair did not arrive on stated date, fedex confirmed item had been lost.

Over 50 calls and lots of chats trying to get in touch with ROFuk to get the issue resolved and still after over a month I have not received a refund despite being promised it had been done.

Absolute bargain

Absolute bargain - got a Steelcase Please for roughly 1/5th the cost of a new one, arrived in less than a week. Nearly gave 4 stars as their automated systems aren't the best: never got a confirmation email of my purchase so had to call them to make sure the order had gone through. The guy I spoke to on the phone though was very nice though and the Fedex tracking number came through the next day.

Amazing customer service

Had some initial trouble with shipping but after chatting to their customer service, the director, Aidan, got involved. He resolved my issue and was very hands on throughout the shipping process, ensuring it arrived in good condition and on time. He even offered a partial refund for my trouble. Chair arrived in great condition, happy with the quality. Would order through them again.

Selling expensive chairs that will break in a year, and won't be replaced or refunded - do not recommend

In February 2025, I bought a Hermann Miller Mirra chair from Resale Officer Furniture - the chair was in good condition, though the seat pan had been torn previously and repaired. In February 2026, the seat pan tore, I tried calling them, texting them and emailing them, either never receiving a reply and only getting a reply when I called them. I was informed that I would get a free seat pan, as the actual fabric is not covered under warranty, though they never followed up or got back to me, and said they couldn't refund me or replace my chair. I tried to replace the seat pan myself, but the screws on the chair are tight and are ruined because of the threat, meaning that I cannot remove the pan, and the chair is useless. I do not recommend buying a chair from them as it is a complete gamble.

Zero Communication initially but actually really good service

I placed an order for a chair and received a confirmation email but no information about delivery of said chair. I then tried calling their number, no response, I had a brief conversation with their chatbot asking for the delivery number then no response.

Edit: Since writing the earlier review, the MD got in touch with me. He apologised for the comms issues and I also got the chair delivered and it is great! I have subsequently seen other reviews where others have experienced the same thing. I would definitely use and recommend them to others, however I hope they improve comms as it otherwise spoils great customer service.

Some Bumps, But Resolution Was Good

Initially, I experienced poor communication from the business after I placed my order, but after they read my review about the experience I had, they quickly reached out. They admitted their shortcomings and recognised that the product description on their website was inaccurate. They then found a new chair for me that matched the online specifications and kept me updated throughout the process. The chair arrived in great condition, all its features work properly, and I found it to be great value for money.

I have issues with my back so they really went out of there way to try and fine me a chair that suits me, always very polite and friendly, would use them again.

UPDATE - Director got involved in this as he saw my review and was unhappy about how I was treated. Refunded me and sent a free chair which he recommended and it’s really comfy. Thanks for all your help in this situation, it’s nice to see you haven’t been fobbed off.

Ordered a chair and kept getting fibbed off about delivery times. Then told the chair was faulty after chasing 3 times. Told me I would get a refund, not received it. Now having to try and claim back through PayPal as no refund has arrived. Think it’s a big scam site.

First time using ROF and I'm delighted

First time using ROF and I'm delighted. There was a small delay in delivery, probably due to Christmas. We contacted Aidan and he kept us informed. Today we received a well packaged Vitra chair at a really good price and no assembly required. The chair is a huge step up in comfort from my previous one from a well known furniture supplier.

I would love to write a positive review…

I would love to write a positive review having found a chair on there website recommended to me by my physio at a great price however the order has never arrived! I’ve tried emailing, using the live chat that doesn’t seem to work the phone never gets answered. They were very quick to take my money but I can’t get a response to an email or phone messages placed order on 4th Dec and received nothing an absolute shambles! Disgraceful customer service can’t get the chair or my money currently appalling

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

I had intially bought a chair which came with arms that were damaged. I was told a 12 month warranty is in place so I contacted them for arm replacement.

I was accused of ripping off the arms when they have no proof and then was told they can send me arm replacements by a guy called Aidan Murphy

2ND november I have been waiting for arm replacements and now Aidan Murphy is not answering any of my emails.

I am going to spread the word and even make a reddit page about this website next.

What is the point of 12 month warranty if you don't oblige by it and offer me it then ignore my emails????

Our 12-month warranty is mechanism-based, covering the chair’s functional components (such as gas lift, tilt and adjustments). Unfortunately, rips, tears or damage to upholstery or arm pads are not covered under this warranty, as these fall under wear, misuse or accidental damage rather than mechanical failure.

That said, we are always keen to help where possible. As a gesture of goodwill, we are more than happy to send replacement arm pads for your chair.

Please contact us tomorrow via email or phone and we will arrange for the replacement arm pads to be dispatched promptly.

Outstanding Quality and Comfort!

I recently purchased a Steelcase office chair from this company, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The chair itself is incredible sturdy, beautifully designed, and unbelievably comfortable, even after long hours of work. You can really feel the quality in every adjustment and material.

The buying process was just as impressive. Customer service was responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful in guiding me to the right model. Shipping was fast, and the chair arrived perfectly packaged.

Avoid - Terrible and frustrating customer service

I ordered a chair almost 3 weeks ago and although I received a confirmation email of my order, I have not received any other communications about when it will be delivered.

- I have tried to call several times but nobody picks up and I have left my name and number but have not had my calls returned.
- I have sent several emails, again no one has responded.
- I started a conversation using the chat function on their website but after giving my order number and being told they will investigate and respond in 5 minutes, they did not come back to me.
- I even messaged them on LinkedIn but guess what? No reply!

On their website it says "Our customer service team is here 5 days a week for any questions or queries you may have before or after your purchase." - This is A LIE.

“Disappointing product and after-sales support

I purchased a refurbished Senator operator chair from this site and was very disappointed. The wheels were badly worn and full of human or animal hair, which was extremely unhygienic. I do not expect refurbished furniture to look brand new, but at the very least it should be cleaned and fit for use.

I contacted customer service straight away with photos and was promised replacement wheels. After several phone calls and repeated explanations, I kept receiving different answers: that I had to pay extra, that the courier had not collected, or that they would be sent soon. I was also promised email updates, but none ever arrived. Weeks later, nothing has been resolved.

My experience shows that if you receive faulty or unhygienic items, you should not expect a proper replacement or refund. Think carefully before buying here, and be prepared for very poor after-sales service.

Update: After posting my previous review, the seller finally sent replacement wheels. While they were free of hair, they were still rusty and full of dust. I had to call the seller four times and wait over two weeks for this, which made me feel completely frustrated and as if I had been misled. Because at least the wheels are now hair-free, I am adjusting my rating from one star to three stars, but the service and overall experience remain very disappointing.

Good experience, great customer service

I ordered a new chair as I work from home. The chair was delivered 'by hand' within a week as there was a delay on Box packaging but Callum called to explain the delay and delivered the chair in person rather than me waiting longer. The chair is so much better than my previous chair that I bought at an online store.
