This was a scam. I was recommended this by my work union, so believed it to be trusted. I received £3k back and was quite happy all seemed okay. turns out they claimed over £5k and took the rest.... Voir plus

Thanks for posting Jamie we strive to meet the advertised time frame for a claim which is 5 to 6 weeks on average. However once we submit all the information to HMRC we are not in control of their timescales and unfortunately these can vary from time to time.

Crooks avoid.
Crooks avoid.. I’m fuming with myself for naively completing their application. I cancelled my application less than 24 hours after I started the process but they have accessed my tax account and changed my government id. They log in at early hours of the day under their own emails and mobile number! They are still logging in even after my cancellation! I’ve reported to HMRC as I can’t access my own tax account now!

Whilst we do access the government gateway to process your tax returns we are also able to resign from this and then it takes 72 hours for our credentials to be deleted down.

Absolutely shocking customer service. I’ve been waiting weeks and when you ring for an update you cannot get through on the number that you’ve been given. Starting to feel it’s a scam.
They don’t answer the phone or emails.

Dear Jez i'm sorry that you have had to wait for an extended length of time to progress your refund. You will be aware that the time scales involved in the process are dictated by the HMRC internal processes and that at this moment in time they are not responding to agent requests for updates until 2nd June at the earliest.
We will endeavour to chase down all refunds after 2nd June.

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. They fraudulent access your online personal tax account instead of acting as an agent or a trusted helper. As such, you have no access to what they are doing or trying to claim, and you will be liable when HMRC want penalties from you for wrong or over claims. Plus, they use their own email and mobile when accessing your personal tax account, so you cannot get in. Absolute crooks.

Dear Steve we are sorry that you are not satisfied with our processes for obtaining a refund on your behalf. Our panel of accountants do indeed act as your agents and also access your gateway account so that the relevant tax returns can be made for you.
Its true to say that if any of the information you give us is inaccurate then HMRC have every right to look into your refund in more detail, however in our experience the vast majority of our customers give us accurate and honest information which is then acted upon.
When the refund is complete we resign from the gateway account giving you access again.

Lured in with charm and then no way of contact.
I have rang and rang Right to Refunds 0800 number and no one answers. I wonder if this is manned at all. I refilled the form for R2R and sure as anything, someone called me straight away. I learned from this call that they are actually a sister company for Right to Refund. ( This was my initial contact who said I would get thousands back and that they would start my claim. I uploaded my ID and documents from the email they sent.) The young man wanted to start a new claim and said he was nothing to do with the admin side of things and that I needed to ring the 0800 number. They do not answer. Nor do they reply to emails. I am fearful that this is actually a scam!

Dear Sara I'm sorry you have experienced this and can confirm that the vast majority of refunds follow a smooth and trusted process. However from time to time things can get delayed and we endeavour to answer our phones and emails in a timely manner. At the moment we are unable to chase refunds as HMRC are not offering us that service until 2nd June and this has caused a lot of customers to call in via the 0800 number.
We have now changed our message on the number and have a 24 hour turn around time for call backs and email responses.

You are correct we file tax returns for up to 4 years where there are legitimate work related expenses involved which creates the refund.
Our phones are more busy than usual because HMRC are not allowing us to chase refund payments until after 2nd June.
We endeavour to respond to all emails and texts within 24 hours.

So they sent an email and a message to say that my payment had been received from HRMC and that I needed to upload bank statements etc which didn't work, I then tried to call them and the number is no longer in use🤔

Costly liars!!
Was told I’d expect almost £5,000 working on that; I’ve planned things. Got a letter from the HMRC saying was I only entitled to £300! Once this company take 33% I’m left with almost nothing at all.
Beyond furious that a company like this can build your hopes plucking up figures and then not even keep in contact with you! Constant phone calls to them chasing them up for over a month, then finding out that it’s only an estimate they’ve worked out. It’s wrong!

Dear Yasmin I was very sorry to see how dissatisfied you are with the service you received from us. It is true to say that the calculations for refunds can vary from initial consultation to payout based on the calculations made by HMRC.
Also when this happens we usually find out during the process that there are other non disclosed factors affecting a customers claim that we are not made aware of at the beginning. Unfortunately these instances are outside of our control.

Very concerned about the legitimacy of this company. Putting fraudulent claims in - certainly true in my case as I checked with HMRC and I am not entitled to the rubbish they were calculating - then again it’s not clear what they are claiming for , figures or amounts.
Very sketchy in my opinion and I would not consider a refund through this company. Please just use HMRC and do your own they will only ask for it back when it’s found to be wrong.

Please be warned that this company is a scam and will tell you, you are entitled to much more than you’re entitled to and they will process it with in 3 weeks. All a lie, they will drag this out for as long as they can while they have all your information, I wounded if they are trying to clone you as they have so much information about you. They will give you excuses regarding your claim and why it’s taking so long which is pure lies.
All the positive reviews about this company are not real and I am not the only person that this company will scam. DONT be the next person as it’s easy to fall for there sales pitch.
Will tell you you are entitled to so much and will process your claim very quick which is all a lie.
You are able to go on the Gov website and make the claim your self with out losing most of your claim to this company.

DO NOT use this company to re-claim…
DO NOT use this company to re-claim tax. I did and HMRC said it is a security breach as they make an account in your name to claim your tax. They shouldn't request photo ID, they shouldn't access our accounts or make an account in our name. Its completely messed up. Take this as a sign DO NOT use them. Claim the tax yourself use forums and videos online to guide you or call HMRC yourself to guide you through it. Do not let them take 33% and leave you in a mess with HMRC.
