Roommates.com Avis 

We were able to find a roommate that matched our desires. It took a long time to find the right one, but after a year of having it posted on several websites, roommates.com came through.

Too many people posting on here but not really looking for anything. Out dated post that still re.ain. If already found a place not sure why posting still active. Some ppl on here wouldn't even respond after I respond to them immediately about the availability. Lot of ppl on here just looking to bother with ridiculous questions including wanting to move in a month further than what they posted

In the past 7 years I have found all of my renters and only one person that I regreted

This is a very useful website. I have used it successfully several times. I will use it again when I need to find a roommate. My only problem came when I needed to change my password. Speaking to a live person would have helped in this situation. Otherwise very easy to use and when I had questions they were answered very quickly.

Roommates was easy to engage. To fill out. And they answered my questions. Thank you.

I was impressed with the safety and security of the users of the site.

I am a host and have a room listed on roommates.com. It’s a more than a month now and barely any response or reply. Not worth the time, effort or money to register on this site.

Found that roommates.com is more trustworthy when it comes to finding a room, tried another way to find a room to rent and didn’t have the same experience as I did with roommates.com

Thw problem is not being able to respond to people without paying. I understand you need to make money, so you should have a different level that you have to pay for more advantages, but not be able to respond to someone.

Good site. Not your fault but people do not respond back to emails.

Recommendation for all new people!
Do not buy the premium it’s literally a waste of money all you have to do is put your phone number in the listing to be able to message potential people to rent from or to message people you think you want to rent to. It’s how I was able to get a room myself!

It took me about 2 months (maybe a bit less) to find a suitable roommate from roommates.com, but I did end up finding someone who I mesh well with. Turns out we have several mutual friends. There were a few people I suspected were fake or bots because they never replied, but I'm happy with where I landed.

Good service, easy to use with little headaches. I definitely recommend using it!

I found a roommate for a family member though a friend. The site matched me up with a few people all of whom had a checkered past. I had to do the screening of each individual that contacted me.

All and all for the price your site is adequate.

Outside of the fees, which I understand, my experience was very nice. I always received my messages in a timely manner. Therefore, I was able to rent my space. I will definitely use them in the future when I am in need.

Very trustworthy website. I found a roommate, forgot to cancel, contacted them and they refunded me immediately for the time I paid without need.
