Non-existent customer service - updated 12/20
I have since heard from Rough Linen, more than once, and I am confident they have changed their ways! Not only did they respond to a request I made of them to get a certain item to me in a few days, but when they couldn’t satisfy that request they gave me several items on my order free. They are also accommodating my receipt date to a specific week in the future.
I really believe they must have learned a hard lesson during this holiday season when they had an overwhelming response to their discounts. Although I see from old reviews that they have had a communications and customer service problem in the past, because of their new response to my complaints
which included transparency about shipping dates and item availability plus an honest effort to make things right, I have changed my opinion about them. I thought they didn’t care. I now know they do!
I am removing my original review. Suffice it to say it was extremely negative.
Ordered an item on 11/25
Ordered an item on 11/25. On 12/5/23 I got a package that contained something I didn’t order and not the thing I ordered. Sent an email on 12/6/23 letting them know about the problem. Their website indicates I should have heard back within 1 to 3 days. No response at all. Sent another email 12/8/23 and got auto response saying they’d get back to me. Sent another email today, 12/13/2023. Still no meaningful response. No telephone number available. I understand that mistakes are made, but this an unacceptable business practice. You make a mistake, you correct it if you are good business. You don’t just ignore your mistakes. Can’t recommend this company.
Company hasn't shipped my order or replied to my emails, waste of money
Maybe they sell good products, maybe not, either way I will never know as it's been a couple of weeks since I placed my order and Rough Linen has yet to do anything but charge my credit card. They have not shipped my order nor responded to any of my emails asking for an update or to change my shipping address to the place I will be spending Christmas so that I can actually give the gift in time.
I'm not sure why they can't even reply to my emails, but I highly recommend shopping elsewhere unless you have money you need to throw away. I will probably need to issue a chargeback with the credit card company.

I ordered a set of sheets as a Christmas gift November 26th. The sheets have not shipped as of today December 11th. When placing the order, there were no indications the sheets were out of stock nor was there any indication the order would be delayed. I have emailed three times asking about the status of the order and have yet to receive a response. Extremely disappointed and am at the point of disputing the charges the company made on my credit card when the product hasn’t even shipped.
Buyer beware! It’s a nightmare!
About 3 months to receive samples
I requested sample about 3 mos. ago and just got them about a week ago. By this time, what I'd planned to use the product for was past its due date. That said, the linen is lovely, but it would not have worked for my purpose.
Took payment failed to ship order
I submitted an order, along with credit card information for payment. This company submitted and received payment from my credit card company without having shipped the item. The company has failed to respond to numerous emails regarding this issue. I have had to file a complaint with the credit card company for a refund.

Long delivery time, no communication
I felt that there was an extraordinary gap between my order and when it was shipped to me. More than a month. I was actually worried, wrote and email that was unanswered. I finally received my order in the second week of September - 6 weeks after my order. I get that there are delays and issues come up. But the complete lack of communication was surprising for a company selling an expensive luxury item.
I took over 3 months for just samples
I ordered samples in August and received them the end of November. I was never told the status or what happened. I got the sample with the full intent of ordering but am put off from the lack of communication and 3 month delay.
Very late on delivering a present
Very late on delivering a present. Still not shipped and I ordered over 10 days ago. It was supposed to ship in 7 days.
Update: It's December 11th and the item still hasn't shipped. I've emailed 4 times and they can't be bothered to respond. I've reported them to the BBB and they haven't even responded to that complaint. Do not waste your money. These people will take your money and run. Just read the other reviews.

late on delivery, customer service was great through the process, but very late on getting my package. It was a present and that anniversary came and went.
Order delayed already 4 weeks
Trying to give Rough Linen the benefit of the doubt. However, they withdrew money already from my bank acct on Oct 6th immediately after I placed the order. So far, I've sent 4 emails trying to trace my order. I sent one email every week. Still no tracking info!
Just a lot of corporate lingo apologizing for low supplies. In the meantime, I'm out $55.

I received my pinafore apron just in time for a large family event at my home. Love the handy, large pockets, the fit (the petite is perfect for me at 5’1”) and the beautiful feel of the linen. My biggest problem was deciding on a color! Great customer service, too.
Husband LOVES his linen pajamas
My husband went from saying, "I don't need linen pajamas" to "How did I ever live without linen pajamas!" Rough Linen you truly are the absolute best. We love your blissful sheets, stylish scarves, bread bags and now these fabulous pajamas. Your quality and craftsmanship is superb and gets better with time (unlike most other brands that wear out way too soon). Shipping was super fast and, as always, your products arrive beautifully packaged.

Rough Linen sells wonderful products with top notch customer service. I have made repeated purchases of their bedding. The linen is lovely, washes well and gets better with time. They offer products in true white and they offer varying weights and warmth. I love everything I have bought which is why I continue to go back. I don’t even typically like to shop online (devoted brick and mortar shopper) but Rough Linen is one of my few exceptions. I’m a devoted customer for life!
Took my money but never shipped order
I placed my order two weeks ago and got an order confirmation email that was very vague about what would ship when. I emailed customer service a week after that, and have yet to receive a response. Very disappointed that I have to resort to filling a claim with my credit card company due to poor communication and shoddy customer service.
Stole My Money
Ordered a half apron about 3 weeks ago. Haven’t received any shipping information or anything. I sent out an email a week ago as well to see if there was any update, but that hasn’t been answered either. Absolute scam of a company.
great product, slow service
I liked the colors available, and so far the fabric has felt great. The summer cover is oddly sized, drooping well over the sides of the bed and laying on the floor, a little weird.
The -2 stars however comes from the prices, month long waiting time, and lack of accountability from support emails that used BS marketing speak to explain the delays. Just be honest!
