DISGUSTED
I am genuinely appalled and LIVID by how this delivery was handled.
The requirement to sign in and be escorted on an MoD site is mandatory and was clearly communicated in advance.
Despite this, the delivery drivers attempted to offload the chair into MY CAR instead of following the agreed process. I repeatedly instructed them to sign in so I could escort them onto site, but this was ignored multiple times.
As a result, I was left dealing with the delivery myself, outside in heavy rain — which is unacceptable. And they struggled and dumped in the back of my car.
It was clear they prioritised saving time over complying with site rules. Given the security requirements, this is completely unacceptable.
I expect Route 1 to follow instructions and site protocols, not disregard them for convenience. I expect this to be addressed. My company paid for delivery, not for the goods to be dumped in the back of my car.

Having reviewed your comments, we fully understand your frustration. Where delivery instructions clearly state that site sign-in procedures and an escort are mandatory, these requirements should be followed without exception. The actions you have described fall well below the standards we expect from our delivery teams.
It is particularly concerning that your repeated instructions were not followed and that you were left to manage the delivery yourself in adverse weather conditions. As you rightly point out, your company paid for a delivery service to the designated location, not for the item to be offloaded into your vehicle. Security protocols, customer instructions, and site requirements must always take priority over delivery schedules.
We take this feedback extremely seriously and have raised the matter internally for investigation with the team involved. We will be reviewing why the delivery instructions were not adhered to and what measures are required to ensure this does not happen again.
Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience and frustration caused. Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of this issue, as it allows us to address the matter appropriately and improve our service going forward.

Van broke down but still delivered
Van broke down on the day of the delivery which was frustrating but credit to the Guys for still delivering it, all be it 4 hours later than expected. Communication was good and despite the 2 chaps probably getting home at 2200 due to the breakdown they were still cheerful and polite.

Lovely driver, shame about the process
The delivery driver was lovely and helped me get the huge (but relatively light) box into my hallway.
The communication process and flexibility of delivery was useless. I got a text to say the delivery was coming on a certain day and to reply 'yes' or 'no'. I replied no and was told it may take a further week. I was given an alternative day, but with no options (thankfully only a few days after the first date). It was given an all day slot, with information saying that a 2 hour time slot would be allocated on the day. When it came through the time slot was 4 hours, i.e. a whole afternoon but also said that it was an estimate. The parcel actually arrived at about 10 am. Pointless giving a timeslot really. It took 17 days from order to delivery, which was much longer than is normal.

Not only did the deliveries come between downpours, but they also managed niftily to get my hefty settee through the porch and front door and into position. They also removed their outside footwear which is important in my opinion.

Very helpful and professional communications. Scheduled a time for delivery that worked for me on the phone with a friendly human, with a telephone reminder on the day. Delivery guys were excellent and could navigate tight corners well. I would definitely recommend them.

Large 7 seater L shape sofa and 4 seater chaise sofa bed ( stunning 😍)
Everything was perfect! From removing packaging to checking we were happy with the purchase. They sent delivery information through the day before with delivery slot time, phoned when on route and were there when they said they would be 😊
Lovely delivery guys, polite, careful and knew what they were doing. Removed one foot to access my lounge and replaced with no problem.

A good experience.
Unfortunately delivery window was not adhered to BUT we were informed that the team would be an hour late. From then on all went well. Delightful young men...Kimpton and
Elvis. Polite ..courteous and professional. Managed to reverse into drive to avoid blocking road ..
transport the bed sofa to our room...unpacked...checked over. ....bed mechanism demonsrated...packaging removed.

Wonderful sofa delivery
Two lovely young men delivered my sofa today. One was called Elvis and the other was Kem, I think?
They were both very polite. Very courteous. And very considerate. Took the time to measure everything to ensure that there wouldn’t be any issues carrying the sofa up the stairs. They also assembled everything for me and then let me check over the sofa before I signed for delivery. Nothing felt rushed or like it was too much trouble. Wonderful furniture delivery experience, and they aren’t all like that, believe me!
Would highly recommend and would be pleased to deal with them again.
