Rowan is the expert! Her edits and precise suggestions were a huge help to my dissertation. I was positively surprised by her suggestions as the topic was something quite technical in the field of solar energy. But I had the feeling that she has a deep understanding of the topic. So I think that she is very smart too. I took back my dissertation in 2-3 days, which helped me compensate some of my own delays in the time schedule.

Rowan has an outstanding eye for detail and a great understanding of how writing should be structured for clarity. It always surprises me how much writing can benefit from a second opinion and how easy it is to miss mistakes in your own writing. For a recent piece of academic writing, she highlighted some of my quirky phrasing and suggested edits that have made my text clearer and more precise, explaining suggestions to also help me develop my writing skill. I am prone to sometimes writing sentences that are too long and cumbersome but Rowan's guidance has helped me to improve my focus and stay closer to my key points and arguments. I believe my writing has improved a great deal with Rowan's support! :)

I can wholeheartedly recommend Rowan for copy-editing! She really brought my language to life. She had great attention to detail and her comments on phrasing and inconsistencies were spot on! She copy-edited my book proposal on the history of global banking (a.o.) and even made a great suggestion on framing some of its theoretical contributions! Brilliant.

We had to improve the language of the manuscript for a journal paper (Information Systems domain) so that it could be published. Rowan not only did the copy-editing work in no time, but also did it really well. She not only eliminated linguistic and grammatical errors, but also asked good questions about the content, gave great remarks/concerns (e.g. logical conclusions, inconsistencies) and made her own (good) suggestions for wording. You could tell that she didn't just work through the document using a cookie-cutter approach, but followed the arguments and occupied herself with the topic.
