Sales team great, answering execution terrible

I fully expected Ruby’s service to work well for our appointment-setting business, but instead it has been a disservice. Had I not recorded calls and reviewed transcripts, I would never have understood how poorly they were handled. In several cases, their responses actually pushed people away from doing business with us.

If all you need is basic message taking and routing, Ruby may work. But if your callers ask even simple questions—like “Do you have a website?”—it’s too much for them. The result is that your company looks like it doesn’t care and has outsourced calls to people with no investment in your business.

Their sales team and onboarding staff are excellent. But the actual execution of the service is, in my experience, 0 out of 5. Callers couldn’t even pronounce our company name correctly, which leaves a terrible first impression. If the person answering the phone can’t say your name right, what does that say about your business?

Ruby is literally the most fantastic…

Ruby is literally the most fantastic answering service I have ever used, and I've been using answering services for over 30 years!
My clients think that they are talking to my office assistant, not a service.
Whenever I have a slight change to make in their script, it is handled effectively and immediately.
I wish all of my providers were as friendly, capable, and caring as Ruby is!

Ruby has been a friend for over 20 years

I have know about Ruby for over 20 years; my former law Partner, Tatum S. Hilmoe has been with Ruby since he passed the Cal State Bar.

All the people I have spoken to at Ruby are regular people with a sense of humor--not stuffed shirts. I have worked at law firms my whole life; I have enough stuffed shirts to last a lifetime.

Great customer service!

I received an alert that our account was nearing it's limit for coverage. I called to talk with a representative, and I was able to speak to someone immediately who reviewed our account and provided great advice. I really appreciated the quick response and easy solutions!

Great Service Experience

We just started service and have already received several complements on the operators professionalism and eagerness to help the callers. This reflects well on Ruby's internal processes and employee training programs.

Ruby is such a wonderful tool!

Ruby is such a wonderful tool with EXCELLENT customer service for your company! Everyone is always very kind, follow up is excellent and I can rest easy knowing they are handling our phone calls. Bri helped me out with going over our minutes being used and definitely help me understand what plan we should use. Not only was that great, she said she’d follow up with me in a week…and she did! It’s hard sometimes to get people to actually follow up, so excellent work Bri!
