Ruff N Roam Avis 

I received my delivery for Ruff and Roam Comfy Cruiser (cat seat hammock) and the Comfy Cushion on July 31st 2026.
My first impression was that it looked pretty basic, the "sturdy base" is in reality just made out of corflute panels you slide into slots on the base, so it's not that sturdy if you have heavy dogs and the cushion is REALLY thin for that price , not even 3cm I would say when holding between fingers.
We install the Cruiser and the Cushion in the car and the "universal fit" seems a bit small, and I immediately hate the clips to hold the sides to the handles, they're really cheap and I don't think they will last long.
After a couple of uses we notice that the cushion slides constantly, the anti slippery base doesn't work with our dogs (2 dogs at 30kg ea). So we remove it as the dogs push it aside and they're bothered by it.
Now it's mid October and we already have tears on the base where we can attach the leads... so this almost 300AUD dog car hammock have lasted us for just over 2 months and a half.
What a sh***y quality!

My dog loves it! The best purchase I’ve ever gotten her. I’ve never seen her so comfortable in the back seat. And it’s good to know she’s stable :)

Absolutely love the Comfy Cruiser Hard Bottom and Comfy Cruiser Cushion from Ruff N Roam! 🐾 They’ve been a game changer for taking my own dogs, as well as shelter dogs, out on adventures.

The hard bottom makes the dogs so much calmer and stops them flying around or struggling to balance in the backseat. And the cushion makes it feel like a bed so now they just lay down and sleep.

As someone who regularly takes shelter dogs out for walks having a setup that’s comfortable for the dogs but also protects my car is priceless. It’s beyond easy to set up or take down, it can be changed from 3 seats to 2 if I have an extra passenger and my dog has never been so excited to jump in the car.

Since getting it everyone in my family and at the shelter now wants one to!

Product recently arrived, in good order and does what is advertised. I question how long the bases will last and be able to support weight but we shall see. Biggest issue is that the product is shipped directly from China to your address, so this is basically just a drop shipping business.

It’s made such a difference to keeping the back seat clean, especially with a Golden Retriever who somehow manages to bring half the beach home with him when he’s not shedding his whole coat 😂 It’s really easy to install, feels super secure and gives Marsh plenty of room to stretch out comfortably while still keeping him safely contained in the back seat.

The material is also really easy to wipe down, which is a huge bonus after beach days, swims and shedding double coat pups.

It’s honestly one of those things we didn’t realise we needed until we had it, now I wouldn’t have the car without it!

Great quality product! Very sturdy and love the hard base for my 3 shepherds, plus the dogs that come on our dog walking adventures.

The Comfy Cruiser has been a wonderful addition to our travel set up and has made our cocker spaniel settle straight away when going on car rides. The Comfy Cushion also provides a comfy cozy place for him to nap. As we travel a lot, it’s so great knowing we still have a clean car after all the messy adventures (beach trips / muddy walks). All we need to do is pop the cushion in the wash and give the cruiser a quick vacuum. Couldn’t recommend these products more!

We purchased the Comfy Cruiser for the hard bottom base & measurements being big enough to fit our BT-50!
The quality is incredible and holds up well with our 2 Koolies & one being a puppy with razor sharp teeth who has definitely put the fabric to the test!!

Only positive reviews about this product online are posted by themselves and there freinds pretending to be customers. Even have there supplier from eastern China asking questions or posting positive reviews. Complete Joke! Is exactly same product as (so far ive counted 16 other compony names online and FB that are selling from the same supplier) they will block and ban you from there sites of any reviews dont say there 5 stars. Ours completely fell apart before 8 weeks old and they blamed our dog then blocked us. Wont respond wont refund wont replace dont and can't stand behind the warranty at all! We have a new product not from them and our car doors are no longer getting damaged our dog isn't slipping and sliding all over the back seat anymore and nor are the clips breaking zips splitting nor the fabric tearing everywhere.

Ruff n Roam is an Australian family owned business, however their car seat covers and cushion tops are made and shipped from China. Which was a surprise to me.
My order arrived with a broken clip which was replaced fairly promptly.
In my personal opinion the Comfort & Joint Support with Cushion Top needs to be a bit thicker. Not sure how long it will last with a German Shepherd, time will tell. Considering where it was made, Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

I’ve been using the “comfy cruiser” for less than 3 weeks. The dog has been on it about 3 times.
The stitching is coming apart where it opens for a seatbelt to come through, it’s going to be useless to protect the seats in no time.

Reached out to return and refund and was advised:

“Our return policy is designed to allow customers to inspect the product in new condition, check that it is a good fit for their vehicle, and ensure they are happy with the materials, design, and overall quality before committing to keeping it. Once products have been used and show signs of wear, they no longer qualify for a return and refund under our policy.“

I have been offered a replacement, but I do not want another one as the quality is so poor it will just break again.

Garbage quality with fake Warranty.

Stitching started coming apart after a few weeks with minimal use. They'll just claim it's normal wear and tear then offer you to buy another cover for $60. It's a scam, you can get the exact same quality off Amazon for less than half the price.

Heinous quality - plastic clips broke within 2 months of use with a 30kg dog. For 188 dollars I am appalled.

I purchased this backseat/dog seat protector in early 2025. At first, the experience was great: fast shipping, clear communication from the seller, and no surprises—they were upfront that nothing is made in Australia; it’s all overseas.

When it arrived, I was initially happy. It did its job: protecting my backseat from fur, dirt, and scratches, and the hard base kept my 20 kg dog comfortable during drives.

But that’s where the positives end. The quality leaves a lot to be desired:

Materials are cheap: The “hardboard” is really just heavy-duty cardboard. The cuts aren’t clean, straps are different lengths, and it doesn’t even protect the doors up to the windows properly.

Construction is sloppy: Stitching is inconsistent, and edges fray easily.

Durability issues: After 12 months, nearly all the zips are broken, stitching has given way, and the cardboard has a permanent bow—even with moderate use.

So, is it worth it? In the short term, absolutely. It saved my backseats from damage and was cheaper than a professional repair and cleaning. But in terms of long-term value, definitely not. I wouldn’t buy another one when this one inevitably dies.

Bottom line: Works for a quick fix—but don’t expect it to last. If you want something durable and worth your money, this isn’t it.
