I think the shopping experience was good. Delivery was fine. i just received it Yesterday.
The Only thing that got me by Surprise was all the Hidden Tax/Disbursement/ Handling/ customs costs that UPS passed on to me. Was not very Pleased with UPS service.

I received the unit as expected on Thursday and put it upon Friday as it was to dark outside. I got everything together and the console programmed. I started to get the head together and found that the thumb screw for the battery compartment was broken off it
was to late to call Davis so I‘ll call Monday or Tuesday for a replacement. Made temporary repairs and unit it’s working fine

The Davis Vantage Vue weather station got here quickly. I also ordered the WeatherLink Live, so I could have my server periodically poll the WeatherLink Live for current weather data.
The setup went fine. Be sure and read the manuals, I had a couple of hiccups, which was a result of making assumptions. There's not a whole lot to read before you can get things up and running.
The display looks better than in the pictures. I keep the backlight on all the time, but I'm not running off of batteries either. The display is well laid out, easy to ready. It's easy to select different parameters for display. I'm a little concerned about the push-buttons, as similar pads I've had tend to wear out over a couple of years...but that was for well-used radios. Also - great RF on the connection between the remote sensor and the weatherLink and the base unit, getting a connection from way up on the roof on a mast, to the basement. The WeatherLink live connection to my wireless router isn't as good, so I just position the weatherlink within 10' of the wireless router and all is well. Overall I'm really pleased.

I use sensor on my laptop and it works great with leveling plate you sent to me.

Great product. I will have to “swing the compass” on this unit to really have it dialed in.
The Vantage VUE console (6351) is listed as an option on the website. Nowhere does it say that this “option” already comes with the unit. I was under the impression that I was upgrading my order with a larger console and ended up with two #6351 consoles. Bummer.
