Natalie (and Mariam) from Spratt Endicott’s Banbury office recently dealt with the conveyancing of our mother’s house and could not have been more helpful, efficient, patient and friendly. We had three quotes from local solicitors and they were all broadly similar, but deciding on Spratt Endicott was an excellent decision. The process was very stressful, but I’m sure could have been significantly more stressful in others’ hands.
Mariam Hussain went above and beyond during the purchase. Dealing with issues from the other side and ensuring the purchase was smooth and finalised. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I have been very impressed by Spratt Endicott. They have handled a conveyancing matter with endless patience and understanding. They gave me confidence and support at a difficult time.
We recently purchased a property in Worcester via Spratt Endicott, our points of contact were Natalie and Mariam Hussain.
We were dealing with an unbearable living situation with two little children, as well as incompetent solicitors on the vendors part.
Thanks to Mariam and co’s dedication and diligence we were able to overcome all our obstacles and move in on time. They were very responsive, we never had to wait to get through or hear back from them. They were quick with responding to anything we needed, and dealt with our whole case with incredible efficiency, constantly chasing up others who needed it, and they were completely sympathetic and understanding to our situation and need for urgency!
We cannot put into words how grateful we are, and I truly believe if we had used anyone else we’d still be waiting to move now! Thank you so much, I would recommend to anyone and will be using again.
As a first time buyer, the whole house buying thing was a bit of a learning curve! Fortunately Mariam and Natalie did a fantastic job in executing the legalities of this process so I could move into my first home.
I found them to be very responsive, helpful and versatile in dealing with my raised concerns/requests. They successfully resolved my numerous queries, offered meaningful guidance to my situation and delivered the transaction under demanding time constraints enabling me to move in before Xmas.
I was very happy with service, so will use them again and recommend to friends.
My family received excellent service from Samantha and Ore in the conveyancing team. I would highly recommend them as a team that go above and beyond in ensuring all your needs are met. A patient, understanding approach where we really felt they were prepared to support and help us as much as they could. Thanks to all concerned. Alice
Spratt Endiott were brilliant. As a first time buyer I was very nervous and apprehensive about the process, however Spratt Endicott made the process understandable and accessible. They kept me informed, and were very consistent with the time line, and when things would be completed by. Thank you
Property sale.
Very good service. Quick response to all queries and kept me up to date with progress.
Easy to deal with and always very helpful.
Avoid. Spratt Endicott Buckingham repeatedly made errors with completion statements for me, first adding an arbitrary £240 to their fees on the day of exchange which I flat out refused to pay (they removed) and then on the day of my completion demanding £1000 which they had accidentally added to my mortgage proceeds. This I clearly was liable for strictly speaking but am appalled that they are that incompetent as to not realise until the day of completion that this money would be an issue. On top of that Abigail refused to acknowledge this error when I complained and insisted that it was an issue with my lender. This leads me to think that they don’t care about their customer service at all.
In dealing with the arrangement of exchange/completion itself they were poor, I was passed between Laura and Jackie and had to ring on a daily basis and remind them of the date we needed to exchange/complete by so we could serve notice on our rental. Every time it seemed to be new news and if I hadn’t repeatedly chased I am sure we still wouldn’t have completed over a month later.
Needless to say I will be strongly be recommending family and friends to avoid.
Spratt Endicott helped myself and my sister with the estate of my late Father, and with the conveyancing of a property sale. Throughout, the experience it was very straight forward, we were kept very well informed during the process and everything was explained very clearly. We felt we received a first class, helpful and efficient service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
I was very pleased with my experience with Spratt Endicott. I received excellent customer care and was always kept well informed during the process of purchasing my first home. Any questions I had were answered promptly and I was made to feel that no question was a silly question which was important to me as this was a first experience.
I would definitely recommend Spratt Endicott.
Accounting error found after completion
Surprise £1000 bill 2 days after completion and a week after I has settled the bill on the day I reserved it.
They made basic error with data entry never checked their work they poorly communicated this error. Refused to check for any other error and no replay to my complete after 4 weeks.
Brackley Branch Conveyancing.
Terrible. dealing with different people all the time who don't seem to communicate with each other. Mistakes made a number of times and I was even sent someone else's information and confidential details not just x once but 3 times continuously in a poor attempt by Spratt Endicott to rectify their
mistake.
I am selling my shared ownership house and my buyer is using these "solicitors" for his representation. They have been an absolute nightmare. My solicitor who is actually on the ball has been chasing these clowns to respond to just about every contact or email. They are so incredibly slow to respond to everything. Do not use these people if you want a smooth and timely transaction!
Communication abysmal. They never got in touch with me unless they wanted money. It was always up to me to contact them. Never had any contact from the solicitor it was always their assistant. Very bad service and extremely slow. I would certainly not use again. Not good value for money.
We have totalled just under £400.00 and originally we did not receive any advice from Spratt Endicott and therefore, the incorrect company was pursued. Resulting in a claim being put forward to a company which, hasn’t even been trading! Due to the lack of advice at their end at the beginning of the process the claim was absolutely useless to us. In the end the advice they did give us was to “give up” and they weren’t able to help. If they were to take a look at our case properly in the first place and give us this advice we would have never gone for the claim with the company, let alone the incorrect company. £400 lead us to absolutely no difference at all and the only advice given was to “give up”! Stay Away!!
Slow slow, Not the sharpest tools in the box . Will stretch out anything io suck more money out of you. Buying a property ? they ask ALL the neighbours stupid questions about fire points etc, was expecting "Can you review the parking for space shuttles and the access given to wild bore American NOT European? Selling ? Nope dont go there, even more time wasting , im talking months .
There ARE good solicitors in Banbury i would recommend any but this lot, They will take the longest time, they will ask you stupid questions they will take you for an expensive ride while lining there own pockets . GO ELSEWHERE. or be conned
I used Spratt Endicott based on reviews and on recommendation. I can say they were very good at the start provided me with updates throughout and completed the conveyancing on time. However once completion happened I transferred all the fees for solicitor plus deposit etc so thought that was it and moved into my new home only within a few days to receive a letter to state they made an error on their system and I now owe them another £418!! Considering I had a quote for a set fees for the services provided and I settled all my bills on time I was very shocked to receive a letter to state further money was required and If not settled in 14 days further action would be taken. This is not what you want to hear after all the stress of buying a property in the first place to be told you owe more money especially as it's their error for inputting the wrong figures into their accounting system. I would not use again and have now had to raise as a complaint too.
