Mattress is so comfy and sleeping so well.

Deciding to downsize my bed I saw & tried out a double. The service I received was A+. the shop couldn’t do enough. Answered all my questions, I arranged delivery & everything went so smoothly. The first couple of nights felt strange but then my sealy mattress moulded to me & Im so so comfortable.
Would I recommend, too right I would.

I like a firm mattress so I always buy Sealy. This is our third and each one has lasted for 10 years. A trusted UK brand.

Bought bed for a slightly softer sleep due to back oroblems. Now everytime I move in bed wife ends up being thrown all over the place., and no we are not big heavy lumps. So waste of thousand pounds

I went with the Sealy Ortho Plus Gold, a firm mattress recommended for people with lower back pain. Absolutely horrendous, it was so firm that each and every recess that housed the buttons feels the opposite, they actually feel like they’re protruding. The mattress is so uncomfortable I’ve owned it for less than 2 months and I’m already looking for a medium/firm replacement. Exceptional build quality and delivery was fast once back in stock. I wouldn’t recommend this product.

A very nice experience at the Banbury store. Staff were helpful without being pushy and took time to explain details.
Delivery was good with items delivered on time, to and removed from the bedroom, again staff helpful and polite.

Not suffering from aches and pains when I get up in the morning

Exactly 6 weeks today I took delivery from Fairway Furniture, Plymouth a Tredwell Divan Set and Headboard . The delivery driver advised me to not cover the mattress for a few hours, to let the “chemical” smell disappear. The room was well ventilated and I did not make the bed until late that evening. After a terrible night, the next morning I had to strip the bed and rewash all the linen as it smelt so badly from the mattress.

I also had to air the duvet itself and pillows outside in the sunshine and have continued this practise regularly. Fortunately the weather so far has enabled me to do so.

Every morning for the last six weeks I have stripped the mattress and, although it has been in a well ventilated room, with a cross draft from the room opposite virtually 24/7, a pungent, totally unacceptable smell still persists. All the linen has to be washed every 3/4 days. When not washed, all the bedding has been hung outside in the sunshine to reduce the smell. The odour is not as strong as the first three weeks but is still overbearing and makes sleeping difficult and is unacceptable.

I have purchased many mattresses of different makes over the years and never had such a problem with any of them.

Having done everything possible and waited several weeks to see if the problem improved, I emailed Fairways at the weekend and informed them of the situation. After telephoning them on Monday, their representative visited yesterday and completed a report. He indicated somebody from Fairways would call me today with a solution. At the time of writing I have not been contacted by them.

I have found the continual stripping/remaking of the bed, the extra laundry, together with the lack of sleep and headaches, exhausting. I am hoping this long running problem can be solved and quickly.

In view of this experience I obviously cannot recommend a Sealy mattress and would in fact will warn anyone away from purchasing one. The health risk is too high.

I acknowledge receipt of your response of this morning, such as it is, to my issues concerning the strong odour coming from the mattress which has persisted for six weeks. I have raised the matter with Fairway but, so far they have not agreed to replace the mattress which constitutes a significant breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as the mattress is not of satisfactory quality or fit for purpose.

Your rather bland half hearted apology does not help the situation one iota! Perhaps you could contact Fairway and assist them in supplying an odour free replacement mattress. Some sort of action would be appreciated instead of the indifferent response you have made. Your web site claims the off gasses do not cause any health hazards. I can assure you my husband I are experiencing various unpleasant symptoms, which began after delivery of your product. My husband’s GP has requested he has a blood test today. You also state the odour disappears quickly, it hasn’t in this case.

Surely you need to take some responsibility and negotiate with Fairway to supply a fit for purpose mattress. I will be taking this matter further within your organisation.

Very comfortable, gives the support you need but not too firm. Expensive but hopefully it wii be worth it.

We are really pleased with our mattress. It would have been excellent if it could have been taken upstairs.

I’m extremely pleased with my Sealy mattress. It has made a noticeable difference to my sleep quality, and I’m finally waking up feeling refreshed without the back pain I used to experience. The mattress is sturdy, supportive and has the perfect firmness for me—not too hard and not too soft.

Lovely mattress, picked up at Bensons and advised about the different types and firmness. Chose the best one we could for both our comfort levels. Ended up with using a softer topper to take the edge of it a little but the medium would not have done me any good.

Prompt delivery. Very comfortable and clear instructions on how to maintain mattress.

Ive found the mattress difficult to enjoy initially as it gives a completely different level of support to my previous one. Now that I'm used to it, I love it! My backache has disappeared!

Bed very comfortable. Just the right firmness. Have protective cover on it. Mattress is very easy to turn which I usually find quite difficult. Very happy with purchase.
