The software works, but their service is absolutely pathetic after you've paid. They will be slow to answer any questions, if they decide to answer anything at all. You pay up front so they really don't give a crap about anything you would need after they get that money.

I had a recent problem where I couldn't sign into the desktop app to change my schedule. I sent them a support ticket, and received one response about 12 hours later asking me if I had downloaded the latest version which I had. I responded, but they pretty much just ignored whatever I said as I haven't received any response and it's been 8 hours.

The same kind of pattern has happened before when I was asking different questions on how to block different sites (which you can't really do) those responses typically took 2-3 days if not a week.

The apps or websites that are blocked are decided by them. You can add some different things to it, but overall it's just whatever they have on their little list. There are no ways of adding websites to it efficiently.

This app has honestly changed my life. So glad I got it!

The app itself is great, it works very well!

But customer service support is terrible! They don't want to help or even answer your questions.

I told the support staff member THREE times that my SHIFT was glitching and not activating on my device. All he could say is "Try updating your Iphone and see if that works". Then he completely ghosted me when I asked if he could bypass the current SHIFT schedule on his end so I could re-SHIFT manually and hopefully address the glitch.

Turns out, I was right and it would have saved both of us time if he just did his job better. Very lazy workers.

Hoping Nick can hire a real customer support team soon because the app itself is a Godsend! Greatest filter ever, but the customer support was so bad it overrides it, honestly.

SHIFT is literally the answer to the tech problems of today. No workarounds, blocks all social media/distractions/time-wasters. HIGHLY recommend!

Phone always gets stuck in shift mode, unable to stop a scheduled shift, very slow implementation of roadmap, very rude customer service and overall poor experience.

The founder went on a podcast and said that their whole point of difference is that they're not a subscription. You pay them once, and then they're incentivized to fix your problem, rather than a subscription where they'll be incentivized to keep you subscribed. A couple months later, they changed to a subscription model and then forced you to log in via Google oauth.

It's very odd because they now have complete access to your device because it's enrolled in their organizations MDM, plus you have to connect it to your Google profile. It doesn't matter how trustworthy the founder may be, this is absolutely way too invasive.

Also, it says there's a content blocker, but I've turned it on and I've got no idea how to use it. It's clear that they have no interest in maintaining a free part of their app, even though thats the whole reason I (and multiple friends of mine) downloaded it in the first place. The app was sold as the solution to p*** addiction, but it's not. it definitely helps, but it's not the solution like it was marketed as.

Unfortunately, these people became very money-hungry after they saw a little bit of success. Please, for your own good, stay away from this app and use Jomo instead.

Oh, also, they're denylist by default. Meaning every app is blocked unless someone has requested it be unblocked, or they whitelist it for whatever reason. And you cant request an app be unblocked from your phone. Ive had multiple extremely frustrating experiences where I've been out and ive had to use an app or download an app, and it's blocked. thats why deny-by-dafault just doesnt work.

Btw you cant even start a session on your phone.

Overall very lazy, money hungry and rude developers.

This Company claims to have reviews for their product (The distraction blocker designed to be impossible to bypass)

You install the application using the guide and it asks you to remove the accounts like google and Samsung but still doesn't install.

When you reach out to support they just send you a boilerplate email that multiple times that reads "If you're running into this issue, try resetting your app preferences:

Settings → Apps → Reset app preferences (the exact location may vary by device).

Once you've done that, restart your phone and try again. This has resolved the issue for some users.
