Shift doesn't allow to cancel subscription.
No cancel subscription options in the app
in account - it says techical issue - please contact support.
Writing request to support it says: "Failed, you need to confirm you email"
And when you got email message with the link - it says - "Link expired. To submit your request, fill out the request form again to receive a new confirmation email"

I’ve been using Shift for years and …

I’ve been using Shift for years and can’t imagine running my business without it at this point.

Our entire team uses it. Every employee. I personally manage 15+ Gmail accounts, and before Shift it was an absolute nightmare constantly logging in and out, missing messages, and losing context. Shift completely solved that problem.

What I didn’t expect is how much more it would do beyond email. Having Gmail, Slack, WhatsApp, calendar, project tools, and other apps all centralized in one place has made us dramatically more productive. There’s way less friction, way fewer distractions, and way less wasted time bouncing between tabs and browsers.

The price is excellent compared to the value. $99 per year is peanuts for how much time it saves and how much smoother our workflows are. If you’re running a business, managing multiple inboxes, or working with a team, this pays for itself almost immediately.

This is one of those rare tools that just quietly works, gets out of the way, and makes everything easier. No hype, no nonsense — just a genuinely great product that solves a real problem.

Highly recommend.

This piece of crap got installed on a…

This piece of crap got installed on a friends laptop and cause all kinds of intrusive pop-ups saying that he had a virus. Once I uninstalled it the issue was gone!

Shift does not generate virus warnings or intrusive pop-ups. We don’t deploy antivirus alerts, security messages, or system warnings of any kind. Any pop-ups claiming a device has a virus are typically generated by websites and can appear in any browser if a user visits a site that serves misleading or malicious ads.

Shift itself is a legitimate browser and does not contain malware or scareware. It also can’t install without user action.

That said, we understand how frustrating this experience can be. If your friend is open to it, our Support team would be happy to help review what may have caused those messages and walk through safe browsing or notification settings. They can reach us at support@shift.com.

Seems shifty

I did not ask for Shift. I have no idea where it came from (and have been unsuccessful in googling where it came from). It aggressively opens on startup and whenever I make the (ill advised) choice to click a link, "McAfee" supposedly springs up and tells me my computer is full of viruses.

It did this upon a clean install of Windows 11 on a new drive. Not sure how it could be full of viruses already, so I suspect Shift / McAfee is scare-ware.

I don't have time for these games or the disrespect the Shift publishers show by forcing this software upon me.

Shift does not generate antivirus alerts, virus warnings, or McAfee pop-ups, and we have no association with McAfee. Messages claiming your computer is infected are typically generated by websites, not by the browser itself, and can appear in any browser if a user visits a site that serves misleading or malicious ads.

Shift is a legitimate browser application and does not install itself without user action. Users may download Shift directly from our website or via ads for some of our integrated tools, which can sometimes make the original download source less obvious.

If you no longer wish to use Shift, it can be safely uninstalled like any other application. If you need assistance with removal or want help reviewing what may have caused those pop-ups, our Support team is happy to help at support@shift.com.

We understand how frustrating experiences like this can be and appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

Game changer for creators and multi-taskers!

I've been using Shift for a couple of months now and haven't looked back since!

I was pretty tired of Chrome due to it feeling bloated and not really suiting how I like to work.

Shift feels a lot smarter in the way its able to manage my day-to-day, mainly due to the custom layout I built with all my go-to apps in one place. Everything from Notion, to Discord to Figma without me having to window switch.

For anyone juggling multiple workflows and platforms/projects, Shift's able to keep up.

Highly recommend giving it a go!

Expert instruction

I contacted support to figure out why I was not able to sign in with my Gmail or Hotmail accounts. I use DuckDuckGo as my default internet browser, and when the error message was telling me about Microsoft Edge being open, I was confused since I never use it. Natasha was very helpful, letting me know to close all browser programs, including DuckDuckGo. Once I did so through Task Manager, the sign ins worked just fine.

Resolved my freakout from accidental renewal

I had inadvertently let my annual subscription renew, and while Shift is awesome, I dont have a need for it at the moment. I didnt realize until I saw the attempted charge on my card.

I contacted support and asked to cancel and requested not to be charged (even though it was ultimately my fault and I had access past renewal).

Melissa A was super friendly, understood the situation, and made sure it was canceled with not charge being applied. Definitely would recommend Shift 🙌

Excellent service and app!

Shift has been pivotal for me and my company for the past few years. We have really enjoyed using it and while we have currently left them due to the system not functioning for mailto: links nor a specific date on when they can fix it, we would certainly return once this is resolved. Always really great customer service and tech support. 5*

Shift browser - Unaware and unwelcomed install and auto startup

I have no idea how Shift browser got on my PC and even worse I don't know how it started every time I rebooted. It was not in my list of apps on Startup! Equally as bad, I recieved strange popups like messages disguised as notifications telling me that my computer is infected and at risk of losing all my data. It suggested I use McAfee to remove it. Of course the McAfee scan came up clean.

I completely understand how frustrating it must be to see an unfamiliar app on your computer and to experience unexpected pop-ups. Shift is typically downloaded when someone installs one of our integrated apps through an ad, like Recipes, PDF, or Manuals.

Regarding the on-start behavior, Shift does have a setting that allows it to launch on startup, but this can be adjusted in the settings. If you’d like to disable this, here’s how:

1. Open Shift
2. Go to Settings > General
3. Toggle off 'Launch on Startup'

As for the pop-ups you mentioned, Shift itself does not generate security warnings or recommend third-party antivirus software like McAfee. These may be browser-based notifications from a website or another program. We’d be happy to help investigate this further.

If you’d like to uninstall Shift or need assistance with anything else, please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@shift.com, and we’ll guide you through the process.

Game Changer in my Business

I'm honestly not sure what I'd do without this app. I have several roles and as such, regularly check 6 different email inboxes, plus I schedule everything in my calendar. I've saved hundreds of hours using Shift and it's the app I use the most in my business. Thank you!

CS was excellent

sneaky install almost impossible to uninstall…

I was trying to load a Lexus car manual and shift installed. I took me forever to get rid of shift. I had a local administrator account and shift said I didn't have enough authority permission to remove it. I had to create a separate administrator account and delete and uninstall. worst product ever
