Shipping a car across the country can be a little unnerving since you're leaving your car in the hands of strangers and paying for the privilege! But every step of the way Jennifer of Ship A Car Direct was super helpful. The quote was competitive, she kept me informed of the steps leading up to the pick-up, the actual pick-up was on time, the driver was friendly and he delivered the car more quickly than promised. A top-notch experience throughout!

Ship A Car Direct has always provided excellence service. From the beginning of the process to the completion of it. Always on time with the pick-up and delivery. Great communications.

As a snowbird, I have my car shipped to/from FL/IL annually. In January, the pick up timing was fine (other than an extremely rude driver), but the car was delivered in FL 2 days before I arrived (which I was told would NOT happen). I had to scramble to find somewhere to accept the car. I did receive a small refund for my difficulties.
In April, I had very little notice for pickup. The driver arrived with a pick up truck towing 3 trailer bays. What? He did not speak a word of English. And Oops... my car didn't fit so he left. I contacted my salesperson, Scott, and the 800 number which is worthless. Nothing was done. Now I'm in a rush to get the car picked up before I leave in 2 days.
I have had 2 concurrent bad experiences with Ship a Car Direct. It seems they do no quality control on the drivers/carriers, do not respect the customer's time frames, and are not helpful when problems do arise - you're kind of left on your own.
Like someone else said, use Montway. They may cost a little more, but they're a much higher quality operation.

Swift to take action, excellent customer care, cost effective and overall great experience. I would choose Ship a Car Direct again.

Was skeptical of the service I would receive based on reading the online horror stories of the car transport trucking industry, so I decided to pick a reputable company and not take the lowest bid I received. I was very satisfied with the support (David) and 24/7 available service I received. Driver was on time picking up and dropping off the vehicle. He took care in handling the vehicle which I was very appreciative of. Would ship with ship a car direct again, would recommend to a family member or friend.

I hope this review can be beneficial for others who are considering this company for their transportation needs. My strong suggestion is to go with Montway or Sherpa.
Should you decide to go with this company, make sure to inquire about the transport provider they will use. If its Highline Auto Transport LLC, avoid this at all cost. Their preference is to communicate via text rather than phone calls. Contacting the driver is an impossible task. Once you establish contact with their dispatch unit, they require you to handle the task of reaching out to the driver and organizing the timetable. They never know where the driver is and expect you find out for yourself. The condition of their trucks is absolutely awful. The lift gate, remotes, storage, are all in poor condition with wiring exposed. Those vehicles are in desperate need of major repairs. Their tone is unacceptable and lacks professionalism due to their arrogance.
This brings me back to Ship-a-car-direct. They promise to thoroughly inspect the shippers so you can be worry-free. Based on the factors mentioned above, no reputable company would risk hiring this transport company. To get more proof, check their record on the Better Business Bureau. My intention is not to intentionally damage the reputation of these companies; I simply want to encourage future customers to reconsider their shipping requirements, especially if they own a luxury vehicle. After I went to meet the driver and collect my vehicle myself, they decided to reimburse me a paltry $100.

I would also like to take a moment and update my review. Alex has since called me, and we had a discussion about my experience. It says a lot about the company, and their attempt to uphold the standards they set forth. While my personal experience wasn’t satisfactory, I do appreciate a company reaching out and attempting to rectify the situation.

I do believe a second chance is warranted since they equally went through a bad experience. I appreciated the refund, but more importantly, I appreciated the willingness to listen. I will reconsider future transportion needs.

Renee kept me informed,resolved any questions issues right away.The shipper Anton was excellent,very careful with my vehicle. No damage or anything! I would definitely recommend Ship a car direct,and I believe Antons company name was Tele port?.A great team !!

They were terrific both on pickup and delivery.

This was my second time using Ship-a-Car Direct. The first transaction was flawless and the last transaction was even better due to a big bonus! Not only did I get the exact date I needed, but I also received covered transport (a lucky match with a driver offering this service for the price of uncovered). My courteous agent delivered my vehicle within hours of my arrival. The timing was unbelievable. So, not only did I get my car picked up on my preferred day, but I also had my clean car delivered on my preferred day with covered transport! Great value, superb service, and the communication (thank you, Renee!) was out of this world! Would absolutely recommend and use this service again!

I got my SUV back in good condition...a couple days later than expected, but I didn't have to drive it down to Florida myself. Driver was a very nice gentleman (Khalif). I prayed for him because he had a problem with the air compressor during the trip; and I'm sure that was not easy carrying 6-8 vehicles on his 75-foot trailer. Lottie in the office was a super nice lady who explained all the details of getting a vehicle shipped to another state. I would highly recommend Ship A Car to anyone. Very satisfied and reasonably priced.

I spent more time than I care to discuss emailing with brokers, reading reviews, visiting evaluation sites such as Trust Pilot, BBB and Rip Off Report all in an effort to find the best car transport company to move my car. In the end, I chose one with the "least bad" reputation. I was about to pull the trigger on that one when I asked my brother who he used to transport his cars, which I knew he had done multiple times. He whole-heartedly recommended Ship A Car Direct and gave me the name of his rep. I went through the same process of vetting Ship A Car Direct and found their record was the best of those I checked. I decided to proceed and WOW! What a good experience. Everything they said would happen, happened. Car was picked up on time, I was in communication with the driver and the car was delivered on time and in perfect condition. Price was competitive with the other 25 companies who had submitted proposals to me. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and I will be using them again in a few months when my car gets transported to its winter home.

Mike the dispatcher was responsive, informative, and professional. The driver George was eccentric but fun and very good at his job. The car was picked up within 24 hours of the projected pickup date, well cared for, and it was delivered across the country a day earlier than expected.

Shipped my car from Los Angeles to New Jersey. While my biggest concern was the time of arrival and of course a reliable carrier to take care of my vehicle, I was left with probably the worst case scenario.

They booked Kwik Trans Inc to ship my car.

Upon arrival my vehicle has a clutch that is burnt to a crisp and a $2,000 repair on top of paying nearly the same to ship my vehicle.

So while a smash into a wall would have been a better scenario, here I am proving how my vehicle was in perfectly well mechanical condition.

Thanks to Shipacardirect for forwarding me the info to attempt them to cover expenses they caused. One star for that. One star for the process in booking and value, it went smoothly.

Would have been a glowing 5 and a highly recommended had my car showed up mechanically okay.

Honest, upfront and on time!!

Would highly recommend Ship-A-Car-Direct, as I would definitely use them again if needed. What I appreciated the most, compared to the other companies I received quotes from, was Jennifer’s hospitality forthcomingness. Once Jennifer helped with the initial setup (8/30), it was smooth sailing from there. Vehicle transport was from Indiana to Texas. The carrier picked up the vehicle on the day of the request (9/1) and was delivered the next day (9/2). The service provided exceeded my expectations, especially considering the requested pickup was a holiday weekend (Labor Day).

Buyer beware........They rope you in then bait and switch. They call you multiple times hit you with multiple emails all looking very professional until you take the bait. Car was supposed to be picked up on 7/17/2023 during normal business hours. Pickup contact receives a call from a third party saying car will be picked up between 9-10 pm. Car was not on the junky trailer until well past 1 am because the junky trailer winch did not work. Called early morning 18th for an update and no one knew anything including original contact (Lottie) want answer her phone or respond to any texts after the sale. Called the customer service number voicemail 3x until someone finally picked up. He said he was very sorry for the problem and someone would get back to me. I finally heard from the receiver of the car that by some miracle the car was delivered, still no word from this company. All in all the worst shipping experience I have ever had. I do many transactions with shipping companies, shipping heavy equipment, large industrial items etc. Steer clear of this company. I asked for a reduced rate and to add insult to injury they overcharged me by $20 saying the quote was only an estimate. Attached is the transport vehicle
