First time we have used Shortland Horne in the 35 years we have been Landlords. Really impressed with the speed Claire came out to take photos and market the property. A tenant was found in less than a week and it was just before Christmas so usually a difficult time for letting. Will definitely be contacting Claire if one of our other properties becomes empty.

Shortland Horne were great in their delivery for selling our property, at a time when it was difficult for most to sell. They made the process easy and simple to follow and were straight to the point when requesting information. My guess is that they are one of the best at being able to sell a home, since there seemed to be regular interest and viewings, and my friends selling at the same time had a much harder time gaining any interest with other Estate Agents. I would definitely use again based on this.

My only reservation was that I felt left out of the loop a lot with what was going on, and didn't get very regular or thorough updates. Often I'd had to phone up or email in order to see where we were. For the most part this was not an issue, but each time I received an offer I wasn't contacted for a week to discuss it. On one occasion a few days after the offer was made and I hadn't heard anything, and then the offer was rescinded. This was frustrating at times, because even though there may have been legitimate reasons for this, I was not kept in the loop and it was stressful trying to figure out what was going on. Also the viewing updates via email were not very helpful if I'm being honest (e.g. Have more properties this week to see before making any decisions.), especially in the absence of a phone call.

I liked our main contact at Shortland. She was helpful and very professional. I think every time she was away on holiday was when we had these communication issues, where no one really picked it up.

Overall I'd recommend to anyone selling. But just be aware you may have to keep on top of them a little bit.

I dealt with Sue Costello from Walsgrave Road Branch from the beginning of my journey in selling my home, when she came to give me a valuation.
She gave me a realistic market price and even though it was not as high as I wanted, I went with it, and within 3 weeks it was sold.

Having moved back to the area a colleague recommended Shortland Horne to find a property to rent. They didn't disappoint, we found them to be completely professional, we were happily looked after by Claire Reeve who managed the process of us renting our property. We found her to be genuine, helpful and consistent in all communication making us fully aware throughout each stage. Any questions we had she responded quickly to the point of going above and beyond when we had an issue within our family regarding a long term rent our mother had been in before going in to care.
