When I went to the office she was very good and she make me very happy the customer service was great and that is Number one if in my friend that I went with she was happy

Amazing service.

- Entire setup was straightforward
- Extremely helpful and friendly staff
- For access you can use the app and just scan at each entry point instead of using the code, again the app is easy to use and setup
- Price is very good, I literally moved my stuff from big yellow storage when I found out how good the price was here.

In summary: much better experience and service than big yellow storage while being significantly cheaper.

I tried rent some storage space from Shurgard barking on the 30th of August and it was an absolute joke They had two customer service reps one was good the other one didn't know what he was doing and was from another store I drew the the short straw and got the latter.

After I filled out the documents and made my payment I attempted to enter the parking bay to unload my goods but the pin he gave me to get past the gate did not work I attempted to a couple more times and it still did not work. I went back to the advisor and told him the pin was not working so he tried and fail to fix the problem.

He eventually let me in the parking bay with his own code so and re-assured me that the pin won't be a problem. I unloaded most of my things into a trolley then he escorted me to the location the storage room was supposed to be but to my surprise the room did not exist by this point I'm losing confidence in them by the moment and the the advisors informal attitude went from mildly inappropriate to irritating really fast especially after it happened another 2 times.

Long story short it turns out the advisor was logged in at the wrong site so he was assigning storage at a different store which I suggested to him the second time it happened but he denied that.

By this point I have lost all faith in these guys so I requested a full refund in which they were happy to oblige seeing that advisor just made a complete fool of himself, the other advisor was very good she spotted his mistake and offer to help but I had enough already. The other advisor did own up to his mistake but didn't even apologise or anything.

After they attempted refunded me and sent me a credit note, I notice I didn't receive the refund 10 days later so called them on Saturday 10th of September and explained what happened and the first advisor said he can clearly see that I am owed money but he was from a different branch so he put me through to the barking branch and the advisor there (a different guy to the one on the 30th) was very helpful and elaborated more on the situation and said the finance team rejected the refund because they didn't receive the payment (bare in mind this is a chip an pin transaction). I told him I will send a bank statement an the credit note as proof I should have been refunded. After I sent it to him he sent my evidence to the finance team and said he will update me on Monday the 12th.

Today is Monday the 12th and I recieved a call from the advisor in barking saying that the finance team has rejected my evidence and wants a conformation from the bank which is utterly ridiculous even my bank cant believe it.

I'm currently trying to sort it out with my bank but I need to warn people about this company they absolutely terrible even when I was trying to book for an appointment the person on the phone (a woman from a different branch thought I was a criminal because I asked questions "she had never been asked before" and then hung up on me. You make this up stuff, I really should have known not to trust them but I was enticed by cheap prices.

I am sticking with Big Yellow from now on.

The service is excellent! The staff is very helpful. Special thanks to Becca who was so patient and polite. She is a wonderful receptionist! The building is clean and bright. ShurgardBarking is the best choice.

Do not engage with them, the company is not well established do not have proper policy and the employees are not trained well and do not care about the customer services. the district manager of the barking store has been very rude and unprofessional. I regret so much having out my belongings with them. They do not.treat you in an ethical way

Knowledgable and friendly staff - great price and value

Straightforward access, clean, bright, modern, friendly staff. Exactly what I needed at a very competitive price. Delighted.

Admittedly this is the worst service if ever had in my life, the staffs are extremely rude, no sense of customer service and shockingly even the area manager is very useless.
I would never use their service again, be aware as they attack you with their £1 promotion but you end up paying significantly more. Which happened in my case, £1 to £181 for a month.
It’s a trap, do not get into this company, there are so many storage out there, agree might be little bit more expensive but honest. I am now using a different company but the service is 100% better and I did not get an invoice after a week to tell me that I have to pay 6 times more.
So please people go as far as you can from this company otherwise you will fall in the trap like I did.

Total cowboys. Awful service and inexistent complaints procedure. I keep asking for the Tc and Cs to prove what they are telling me is in the rules, they dont do it, but yet they charged £260 for 2 weeks, didnt allow me to sell the goods i have stored and my buyer to rent a unit benefiting from the promo. Funny enough, two weeks prior to this, a colleague of theirs assured me everything is ok and even another colleague on the phone said it can be done.......filed a complaint and the same rude, condescending person responds who keeps disregarding my request.... will never use them again and will escalate the complaint. I have already notified Trading Standards.
NOTW to Shurgard who since I posted my review, have replied... there is no way i will share me personal details here. Speak to Jason B who is a one-man-show and you keep forwarding my complaint emails to..so i get sarky and rude replies.
