Shurgard Self Storage - Northampton Riverside Avis 

My first time ever renting out storage and I was made sure I knew where to go to get to my locker and about downsizing or upsizing if I need to and if I needed any boxes etc that I had to just go to reception or ask ,even had a check up call making sure everything was OK which I appreciated all the staff are friendly and helpful

The actual storage itself is great but the fact you just woke me up emailing me at 4.50am annoyed me so you get one star

Using the Northampton Riverside branch, dealing with the lovely Emma. Moving is so stressful but Shurgard have made this part very easy. Locker is a really good size, easy to get in and very clean. Thumbs up, definitely recommended.

Absolutely rubbish, I paid my money for the first month then got charged another £504, once this month is over, myself and any of my clients won’t be using your storage again, we have sent a lot of customers your way in the last 5 years, and this is how you treat us in return, we will be using another storage from now on

The allocation process was swift in less than six hours my load was already in the storage and the cost is very affordable.
Lift is also available because i was allocated second floor and this made the movement seamless.
The follow up and notification was also fantastic.

Hired some self storage today. I tried to do it all online at their website. I couldn't complete it online because I had my own insurance( which I got 6 months for the price of 2 that they were asking for. ) There is no option on the website to use your own insurance. So I had to go to the branch to complete the hire. Since I didn't do it online I was charged a £20 admin fee. So if you have your own insurance you basically pay a £20 penalty. The staff at Riverside were very helpful though.

Well, after moving into my storage location, I was informed I wasn't aloud to have a gas bottle in there, which is fair enough, then to receive a rude phone call on the Friday to remind me id left the gas bottle outside the building which I completely forgot to pick up, the manager is very rude to speak to, which I told her I'd be round to collect the next day as I wasn't in the area, and then received a email to say I've been billed £50 for rubbish after I told her I would collect it, I went round the next day like id said to find the gas bottle has been taking by another customer, yes my own fault to which I accept this, but to be billed £50 is disgusting!!!!!

All booked easily and we were shown to our storage unit very swiftly and staff were helpful and friendly.

Mostly easy. Booked online and was easy to set up. Then had an email of confirmation followed by two others cancelling the booking. Then others saying the locker is ready followed by another to say it’s cancelled.
Sorted when I went in but very confused by the 8 emails.
The lady at the unit was great and sorted everything out.
