I only discovered Sidney Jackson's service department three years ago. After 45 years of car ownership, they have provided me with the best service I have ever experienced. Easy to contact, approachable, happy to discuss and explain any matters arising and quality workmanship too!

I have been using Sydney Jackson for years and their excellent service gets even better. Not having a handy person to help drop the car at the garage for its service and MOT, it was collected and returned from home. Perfect service thank you.

After 3 really bad (and dangerous cars) from second hand dealers, i was so scared about buying another car. But Nick and the rest of the team at Sidney Jackson’s finally restored my faith in good car salesman. They went above and beyond on my the car I chose to buy. Even allowing me taking it for a weeks holiday then returning it for the MOT and Valet. Plus they picked up on a few things and got those fixed without charge also. I’m am so over the moon with this car! I just wish I’d gone to them sooner. I don’t think I will ever go anywhere else now!

I have dealt with Sydney Jackson’s for many years and recently helped my friend who has been stung with buying used cars recently and had lost all confidence in buying another one. I went with her as found a second hand Ford Focus on the website in her price range, we dealt with Nick in sales and all I can say is how easy and helpful he was to deal with. The garage has gone above and beyond all expectations and the car is fantastic. They even got it ready early so it could be used to go on holiday in. If you want an honest, reliable and trustworthy garage whether it’s for sales or servicing I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Where do I start absolutely terrible service. We went to Sidney Jackson to order a brand new car for my wife, as they had excellent reviews and were a small garage. We test drove a car and put down a deposit on a top spec Puma. We asked about part exchange on my wife’s car as some garages were guaranteeing future part exchange values. They said don’t worry about that, the Puma will be six months on order we will see you right when it comes in. Fast forward six months, car is due so we go down for a part ex value. Sales manager starts his valuation with “ I personally don’t like this colour” and “we have never sold one in this colour” which to me straight away said they were going to low ball me on price. I told him I hope I am not going to get pi$$ed off with a low offer. At this he said the offer is £12k don’t swear at me and stormed off into the garage and locked the door. Eventually we managed to get in and I apologised for swearing. I showed him offers from We buy any car, Motorway, Cinch and Manaheim, the best of which was £2k better. He said they have not been able to meet these companies part exchanges values for over 18 months. He said certain colours are difficult to sell and pointed out a green Fiesta they had just sold to someone saying they would be reluctant to take that back on part exchange. (sorry fiesta owner). My wife was extremely upset as the sales manager kept saying he was within his legal right to cancel our order. Our old car is a low mileage, nearly 3 year old Ford Ecosport in lux yellow. Basically they did not want to part Exchange and preferred I sold the car myself. If they had been honest to start with I would not of placed the order with them. I would rather lose £2k with a garage I can trust than with Sidney Jackson, so my wife later cancelled her order. Moral of story buyer beware or in this case part-exchanger beware.

Footnote: obviously you can read the garages response. I will say the car we were purchasing was not discounted more by this garage than any other. I stand by my review. Make your own mind up.

Rang Sidney Jackson’s after accidentally pouring water into brake fluid dispenser! John was kind and sympathetic and the brake fluid was changed within hours thanks to him and the efficient technician- what service!

Needed car looking at urgently and John Dwyer fitted me in at relatively short notice. They even provided me with a lift home. Car was sorted within hours and even cleaned Excellent customer service.

Thank you guys. Had brought a Ford Focus not from Sidney jackson which had a know issue with engine.
Tim and the team at Sidney jackson were amazing there kept me informed all the way with the replacement of a new engine which Ford covered.
