Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers - DO NOT USE. I parked at the one by the cinema in Bradford. I paid on Apple Pay and it pinged as though it went through - it was a ticketless machine so I did not get a ticket - so assumed I had paid. The machine was broken (it did not say it was broken) They fined me - I appealed - I sent it to the so called 'Independent appeals process' who rejected it (they are probably taking back handers) and now i owe £115 - Robbing greedy b******** - I will never ever use their car park again and I hope they go under
What a bunch of robbing bandits
What a bunch of robbing bandits, firstly i go stuck on one of there car parks due to the fact the person how was overseeing the car park let too many cars on so the car park became gridlocked and my other half had to tell the dum idiot to let cars off the car park so others could get on.
Secondly i appealed this and SIP said your appeal has failed so I paid the £60 fine on 30th Sept 24 then today 23/10/24 i have received a letter saying i owe £115.
This is shocking customer service as you cannot get hold of anyone to talk to
Unsafe - Car broken into at SIP car park, Manchester
I had my car broken into and the contents stolen. The organisation have shown no interest despite claiming to have cctv for security. I will not be using these car parks again and will make sure none of my friends or family do. These car parks do not appear to be safe.
Avoid these bandits
Their website says things like ‘respected’ & ‘trusted’.
That’s in their own words.
The judgement on such descriptions should be made by others, not self appointed compliments about their trustworthiness.
My friend has just been done by them. ……Visit the the parking meter, follow the instructions, add the car reg & parking time, then pay by using the credit card. SIMPLE or not !!!
No receipt or parking ticket is offered so no real proof it has gone through.
Next thing is a letter with a £100 fine.
When this was challenged by letter they simply were not interested, by paying in 14 days the fine is only £60.
If it’s a case of hard luck now pay us what chance do we have of challenging the system? None
When you call them up on the number provided you’ve got no chance of talking to anybody, they’re too busy or the option doesn’t exist.
This would appear to be a regular occurrence, the police aren’t interested, ‘it’s a civil matter’.
No sane person is going to go to a parking meter that says £100 fine and decide not to pay.
So my advice is treat them as simply bad news. Avoid them or risk been scammed for £100.
Quite cynically my guess is their ‘modus operandi’ by not offering receipts or parking tickets is a great mechanism for printing money & screwing people out of hard earned £’s.
More like CUP - Complicated Unintelligent Parking
I recently parked in the SIP PARKING car park by Crewe Railway Station. I was about to travel down to Sussex and back in a day to scatter my mother's ashes. I chose this car park because it's very close to the station and I was nervous about walking back to my car in the dark on a Saturday night.
I went to the pay machine and, following its instructions, I entered my car reg, chose to pay £6 for up to 24 hours of parking and used my bank debit card to pay. I was a bit perturbed when I noticed that although the transaction seemed to have finished, ie, no:
'Your transaction has failed. Please insert your card and enter your PIN',
I would not be getting a pay and display ticket and if I wanted a receipt, I would have to phone the company to get one. Sadly, I didn't do this because I didn't think I'd need to, and so when I received a letter less than a week later saying that I hadn't paid and needed to pay a fine, I had no way of proving that I had paid £6 with my card. I then checked my bank balance and could see that the money had not gone out. Was the machine faulty?
I then googled reviews for SIP Parking and was horrified that not only had others had similar problems but any appeals had been rejected. I contacted Citizens Advice who recommended that I appeal. I did but it was rejected. I have now paid a £60 fine - not because I was guilty but because, if I had made a second appeal to an independent body and failed again, I risked having to pay a larger fine of £100 or more. As others seemed to have failed with this, there didn't seem any point.
I have since reported SIP PARKING to the Crewe Chronicle and to Action Fraud. However, I would imagine they will have made sure that they cannot be convicted of breaking the law but they have made it very easy for you to fail, so that they can fine you.
Also, the car park is full of ruts and potholes, and when I went back there to take photos of their machine and ANPR camera, the entrance was completely flooded.
There's a much better car park next door. I wish I'd used that one...
DO NOT USE THESE CAR PARKS
Absolute scammers, after using the car park at castlemoor retail park to turn around in after dropping my daughter off at a concert and then again to pick her up later on they issued a fine and stated we parked there for 4 hours and 36 minutes. Appealed the fine as maximum stay is for 1 hour (we stayed less than 3 minutes each time) and sent photo evidence from my ring door bell of my car being on my drive between the hours they stated and they refused my appeal stating their IT department couldnt find the other entries and exits for my car to the car park. Unable to give a 0 star review
This company are absolute criminals and…
This company are absolute criminals and the company should be investigated for fraud and struck off I paid for parking in one of their car parks they then reversed the transaction so they could issue a £60 fine.
DO NOT under any circumstances use these car parks as they will scam you.
I have put a complaint in with companies house regarding this thieving company so hopeful they will be struck off the thieves.
If like me you have been scammed by this company reversing the transaction search for companies house complaints on google and choose the gov website investigations and enforcement and fill out the form and hopefully this criminal company will be struck off.
The other reviews say it all.....Money…
The other reviews say it all.....Money grabbing company
SIP Car Park Manchester Major…
SIP Car Park Manchester Major Street. There are no bins on the premises so I got a fine of £120 because I threw a cigarette on the ground where there was no bin i was looking for. That's how they make money from people who pay taxes, among other things for cleaning.People hide behind trees to record and steal money from customers by penalties.Sad
Money grabbers!!!! Do not use.
This company can't be making enough money from parking tickets; it's main source of income must be from fines of £60/£100. They must be rubbing their hands together and laughing all the way to the bank when someone doesn't park within the bays, runs over the time or doesn't have access to their app. Their appeal process is a complete waste of time!!!. Sharp practices is being very polite!!! Do not use this parking company!!!!!.
Similar experience to others, don't bother with using their car parks.
Similar experience to others, try avoid using if you can.
Their machines at the location I visited did not want to provide a ticket or receipt (in order to save paper supposedly). I went to pay, transaction showed pending on my banking app, happy days.
A week later the PCN arrived, and the pending transaction disappeared suggesting the payment did not leave my account.
I agree to the extent that an amount is payable for the 3 hours I was there (£3.50), not £60.00.
No compassion shown that I went to the machine, entered my reg, went through the process of what I thought was making a payment. Also no compassion shown that this wasn't my first visit, as I actually have a printed receipt from a previous occasion that I parked there.
Also, there is no way to discuss a dispute over the phone, and the email address they use to communicate/provide a dispute decision is a mailbox that isn't monitored.
Simple, Intelligent, Parking (SIP), what a joke.
If you can avoid it do. If I had the choice I would never park in a Sipi car park again.
I am disabled and have a blue badge. The notices all over the car parks at Crystal Palace Park where i go regularly to free run my guide dog tell me I can park in the disabled bays if I register my blue badge. It tells me I can do it at a machine in another car park, not the one I am in or on the app or website.
However there simply is no facility to do so on the app or on the website.Several people have tried and found no way of doing it. We cscanned our blue badge and put in our registration as instructed on the machine in the other car park to which we had to drive and it said we were allowed to park all day. We thought this meant we had registered but lo and behold we got two parking tickets for subsequent visits though we displayed our blue badge. We tried phoning them but are never anything less than fifteenth in the queue and the queue doesn't seem to move.
We have emailed them and they send an automated response but in the month since we've never received an answer. We do not know how to register our badge. the methods they state are either non-existent or so opaque that it's impossible to know what to do. Nothing is clear. They are not contactable and we are now afraid to go to our beloved park which we've visited regularly for decades for fear of getting more parking charges. Their website boasts their social concern etc which is clearly not something they practise so far as disability is concerned. Appalling experience and non-existent customer service. It would seem they have no concern for anything apart from how much money they can get.
I will avoid using SIP car parks in…
I will avoid using SIP car parks in future. The one time I used one at Bridgewater Street Arches Manchester I received a ticket for ‘not parked wholly in a bay’ It’s a bunch of railway arches with badly marked parking bays and people are parked all over the place. I appealed and sent photographic evidence that I was parked in relation to the car next to me. I sent images of other cars parked outside badly marked bays. There’s nobody to talk to at the car park or on the phone. It’s a racket to charge people extra money. They follow up tickets with letters threatening to impose further penalties but again there’s nobody to speak to about this. You have to write a letter (you can’t even follow this up on line - it’s the 21st Century!) I would advise against using SIP car parks unless you’re prepares to be charged exorbitant penalties with very little recourse. They’re scumbags.
Payment meters were down
Companies onsite payment meters were down. Unable to pay on exit. Raised an Appeal, but they have one sign with the website in a corner of the carpark saying how to pay online, in a tiny font. Disgusting treatment of the customers.
The worst service ever
The worst service ever. It’s a joke absolutely joke. Hopefully they will bankrupt soon.
Paid for ticket wrong registration…
Paid for ticket wrong registration number on ticket didn't notice so got fined, so even if you buy a ticket it's all geared up to fine you legal criminals this company, Don't even park on these car parks
Awful car park
Awful car park. Do not bother using would rather park on double yellows and have a fine to the council than pay money into this. Had a medical emergency which lead me being half an hour over my parking. Tried to contact the day of to resolve, got no response. Obviously got a fine, tried to appeal as I would’ve paid the difference however I was unable to pay once I returned to my car. They rejected saying I should’ve used my phone to pay, good one Karen I would’ve if I was conscious. £60 reduced fine is also extremely high. Don’t bother find another car park.
Scam
Scam, paid £2 was back why within the time, no ticket issued, got fine £60, appealed and asked for proof, declined
SIP Car parks are an awful company to…
SIP Car parks are an awful company to have to deal with. In this day and age, it's astonishing that a company has no customer service department. All they are interested in is making money, and they don't care how they do it.
