The date tins from SKT are beautiful, but their customer service is an absolute disaster. I placed an order for 19 tins of dates on January 7, 2025, expecting delivery in early February. After multiple follow-ups and conflicting responses, I was eventually told my order couldn’t be fulfilled due to high demand and that I would receive a full refund.

Trusting this, I purchased dates locally instead—only to receive my order three days before Ramadan with no refund issued. SKT ignored my requests to return or collect the order, leaving me stuck with 19 tins I no longer needed. I managed to resell them and suffered a small financial loss, but this experience has completely shattered my trust in their service.

It is a beautiful product and well packaged when it eventually arrives !! Customer services are polite but find they were not 100% honest with when things were sent out, calling daily meant I eventually got my product 6 days later and alhamdolleah before Ramadan so I am grateful but wish they would work on their dispatch times , best of luck skt hope you can fix it for next year

I normally order from Date Project, this year i thought i give SKT Dates a go. Terrible mistake i have made. My order was placed 7th Jan 25, upon til now i have not received my dates. Customer service is horrendous, most of the time they dont pick up phone call (which i get now, alot people are on the same boat as me calling to inquire) emails are being ignored. Now they say my dates will be delivered tomorrow Saturday 1st March (doubtful)!!

skt dates and the tins are absolutely beautiful 😍 however the customer service isn’t great. you get a confirmation email stating you will receive your order in 5 working days. however it took 15 working days for me and they don’t even respond to emails. maybe update the confirmation email stating it can take few weeks for the delivery due to high demands or something along the lines. Also no response to customers emails isn’t a very good service either. but i cant fault the product or the cause which is 10/10

The delivery was very late and considering it was sent via royal mail i don't understand why it wasn’t sent out immediately after ordering HOWEVER the boxes are absolutely stunning and the quality of dates is second to none! All my boxes have arrived in time for Ramadan so i am very grateful. Also all profit goes to the causes stated on the tins so i will definitely be purchasing again. I just hope they can keep the deliveries on time.

Received my dates in time,after six working days from placing the order. The tins are beautiful and hopefully my friends will enjoy the dates. One tin was damaged though as packaging was inadequate. Please improve for the next year.

After having a bad experience with SKT last year with my dates order which in the end I had to go to the office and collect myself I thought maybe it was just a one off and decided to use them again this year.

This year I placed my dates order on the 9th January 2025 and it clearly stated on the website that orders will be dispatched early February. Since then I have made numerous phone calls and also sent an email chasing my order. I have been told all orders have been dispatched and I will definitely receive it before Ramadan. They were unable to provide me with a tracking number for my order or even tell me the name of the courier it has been posted with. It is now the 27th February 2025 and I still have not yet received my order or had any further communication from SKT with any updates.

I wanted to give the dates as gifts to my family before Ramadan started and it looks like I won't be able to do that now!

I ordered dates in good faith mid January, they claimed to deliver well in advance of Ramadan. They sent a generic apology email for delays in delivery, promised they would deliver by 21st Feb. If you go on their social media you will see many customers in the same dilemma, being told different things & being fobbed off. Trust me - order from Date Project, they are fast & reliable.

Made a large order for dates - I chased them last week reassured all parcels were packed and dispatched. Then told it will be here by Wednesday and then told it hasn't left the warehouse. Multiple people lying and avoiding direct questions. Completely ruined my Ramadan plan to hand these out to family and friends.

It looks like many people who have pre-ordered are having the same issues. I think we are all being fobbed off with: "It will be delivered in 2 days etc". Right now I don't feel like they will be delivered at all. I ordered my dates in January and this was actually by accident I chose SKT. I usually go to the Date Project and have never had a problem. This is the first time, I just saw the tins and instantly thought Date Project without properly checking! BIG MISTAKE! After I ordered, I realised my mistake, but anyway gave SKT the benefit of the doubt! I did come to check the reviews after my order, and to my dismay it was pretty bad, so instantly started feeling nervous and scared that I had ordered from the wrong place and unfortunately this is proving to be true! It is 3days to Ramadan and the dates are still not in sight. I usually plan to deliver these early to my family. I really dont know this year if they will appear or not and I have ordered many tins. :( Feeling sad and disgruntled!!!

Terrible.. been purchasing dates for some time now from SKT. However they are useless, pre ordered dates to get them nice and early, email stated deliveries will take place 5 working days later. I patiently waited a month, still nothing so I emailed and got told I’ll get a dispatch email within 2 days, nothing happened I called, got false hopes and that Marcus will call me but never did.. I called again as he never called and same thing was said, no one else can do a refund only him & they take 5% and it is at their discretion if they’ll cancel lol. A charity? More like a hoax, save your money and buy locally. A dozen shops, friends and family members had their parcels delivered before me and none not even one pre ordered.

I placed an order for dates and I understand sometimes there can be delays. I tried to get in touch with them. line ringing out no response to emails or messages. will never be ordering from this site again. this kind of business lets the whole community down. I would rate this business 0 stars if I could.

If I could give zero starts I would, avoid at all cost, absolutely liars zero communication skills, they need to be investigated the whole organising is a big alarm bell.

Terrible service second year in a row!
Should have learnt my lesson first time around!! But gave them the benefit of doubt but bad move.

Ordered dates a while back to gift families £200 worth but no delivery. Email promises that they will be delivered but nothing Ramadan is a week away.

For a charity this is really bad service specially as they using donations to take your money but not delivering the service.

Really bad regret for ordering from here !
I will never use these guys again for the dates gifting. Terrible be aware!!!!

Absolute fraud, placed order for dates month ago, now they aren't even answering my emails and calls. Dates not delivered even after repeated promises.

If I could give 0 stars I would. So disappointed with their services. I ordered 5 tins of dates on the 2nd of February and were promised delivery by the latest on the 21st of February. I've emailed, and phoned but no response! I would never donate money or buy dates from this charity again. Be warned they are scammers!

They have text every single day asking for donations I donated last Ramadan but will no longer donate through them. You cannot even block the texts, shameful behaviour from a Muslim organisation! Update they’ve gone from text messaging now onto emails which are sent to spam !
