Smart Home Alarms Avis 

Purchased one of the Konnected Pro Conversion kits from this company.
The company themselves have been responsive, helpful and quick to assist.

Now for the product itself.
Powered the item up and it wouldn't do anything like the instructions / setup procedure indicated, which stated a blue LED will flash to indicate it is trying to connect to your Wifi. It remained on solid blue.
After much reading of both the manufacturers and Smart Home Alarms FAQ's and Help pages, appears these devices can stay in a "boot up loop" which involves forcing the item into a default reset by use of a PCB mounted button.
So they have a known software issue they can't seem to solve.

This in itself was problematic as it took multiple times to get it into a successful blue flashing mode searching for Wifi.
Eventually went through the connecting process using phone App and the very first thing it announced was that both a Firmware and Software update were needed.
Then promptly disconnected from Wifi.

So thankfully there is an Ethernet connection which I made use of to update the Firmware and Software successfully.
Went through the full re-connecting to Wifi several times before it finally connected only to have it disconnect 15mins later.
Tried moving the unit from 10mtrs to 10inches away from the Router, no difference at all, it would never reconnect once disconnected but going through the full re-sync process it would reconnect and then few minutes later disconnect and stay disconnected.

Gave up with Wifi and left it connected via Ethernet, which appears to make a vast improvement and has remained connected and available so far.

Instructions for using Smarthings App are good and all appears to perform as advertised.

Make no mistake, setting this thing up takes some time and familiarity with Apps / tech / basic wiring but it seems to do as advertised and currently doing a soak test to evaluate how reliable it is, As I do not wish to remove working home alarm system and use this if it is unreliable.

All rolled up the Wifi is appalling and should not be relied upon in my experience.
Brand new straight from supplier and needed both a firmware and software update isn't great but was easy enough to sort on a wired connection.
Don't buy this if you haven't got patience and some technical understanding as you will throw it in the bin.

Otherwise got it working now and Smart Home Alarms as a company have been a good supplier.

Smart Home Alarms, picked up on my review and asked me to discuss direct with them.
I did and they engaged helpfully with me.

They offered to replace the unit as I clearly wasn't 100% impressed with the received item, due to Wifi instability and immediate Firmware upgrades.

Although I got it working reasonably, others may not have the patience to bother, or indeed the knowledge to self-help.

Anyway, crux of the update review, is I haven't had many companies offer to assist when I am not actively complaining and asking them to meet their obligations, however Smart Home Alarms have offered help without me pestering them and the best bit is the result, they have supplied a unit (when I returned the initial "faulty" unit) and the replacement has worked straight out of the box and remains stable on my Wifi signal.

I still haven't integrated it into my existing home alarm system yet (time to spare is the problem)
However I must thank Smart Home Alarms for their proactive response / help and ease of interaction.

The boards I ordered worked well, it was easy to install and did exactly what it said it would. I used HomeAssistant as the software backend and ended up not just with an alarm system but also all sorts of home automations. Possibly not a product for those who are fearful to do a lot of playing around with the hardware/software, but then it is a self install. You certainly don't need to know about alarms and how they are wired, there is enough available in the videos and instructions to get it working quickly.

Usual prompt and helpful service, helping me to make the right decisions. No doubt be back for more gear as my system grows.

I ordered a bunch of Konnected kit to replace my home alarm system with. Prior to ordering I called to make sure I was getting the right parts, and the chap I spoke to was extremely helpful. Very pleased overall!

The product arrived quickly despite the Convid restrictions. The installation went smoothly and worked as advertised.

Fantastic service and fantastic product. I had a small issue but Ralph sorted it out right away. I will be using Smart home alarms again very soon as I plan to buy more Konnected products

The Konnected Conversion kit is a great product. Easy to install. It just works. Good service from Smart Home Alarms. Would use them again.

Very pleased, would definitely buy from again. Though I do wish it'd come with the konnected.io sticker, but that's nothing to complain about.

Product looked good on web site I am an electronics eng the pcbs looked good but the product support was abysmal.
A no instructions I am also an alarm engineer so that was not a problem(may be a problem to less experienced users)
Connectivity ( again no instructions)
No engineer sales person available to solve issues by phone.
Also recommending forum to provide answers to your connectivity problems quite sad for a product which has massive potential.
Awaiting a refund very disappointed just get please you need to get your act together.

I wasn't sure which way to go to upgrade our home alarm system from an older full wired system, but eventually opted to contact Smart Home Alarms looking for a system offering remote monitoring and setting with a minimum of fuss and no ongoing financial commitments. Right from the start they were both responsive, helpful and open with their advice.
Initially I was going to have them carry out the install but, due to the distance, they were unable to carry this out. Feeling reassured with the support on offer and, having reasonable DIY skills and a fair degree of electrical experience, albeit on motor vehicles and DIY-level home wiring, I still went ahead with the upgrade. The actual install went well, and wasn't too difficult but there were problems with the board establishing proper communications with the detectors. Ralph - who was my main support contact - was very patient and helpful during the fault-finding process and was in constant contact even during evenings and weekend. Ultimately, it turned out to be a defective board and a replacement was dispatched without any hesitation. It was a quick swap out and the alarm was transformed straight away.
Since commissioning (around 3-months ago), the system has been faultless and we are more than happy to leave the house with the knowledge that, not only is the property reliably defended but also that we now have full visibility of the status of the alarm and all of the sensors via the web. Ralph has continued to offer support and advice as I have looked to build on the system which runs over the Samsung SmartThings hub.
Overall, I am pleased with the system which I feel to be a very cost-effective upgrade with many additional benefits, some yet to be explored. Smart Home Alarms are an excellent choice of supplier and especial thanks to Ralph.

These guys went above and beyond to provide help and support with my own implementation of the Konnected products, even emailing me over the weekend.
