Smart Legal Solicitors Avis 

I was recommended Smart Legal from my agent.
I was looking for an efficient service that would guide me through to selling my property.
Unfortunately I was given an assistant who put all the work on me. She was not a great communicator and it felt like she was taking her lead as to what to do next from my estate agent.
I had difficulty getting her to make the relevant calls and chase up in urgent paperwork. I did instruct her in buying my next house. The bill was going to be astronomical for both and it all fell
Through after 11months. I lost the house I was buying and had to get a new buyer for mine. It was not Smart Legals fault that it all ended.
It took 19 months in all and many struggles to get the person working on my case to act efficiently.
A change in assistants towards the end of my selling. Both assistants were not good at informing me of what to expect or what they expected from me. Not great at listening or responding to me in a timely manner. Often getting responses at 10pm on a Friday night, making it very stressful over the weekends waiting to be able to communicate with them.
I would not go with them again.

Terrible company to deal with, they were slow, not replying to my emails, overcharged me. I kept talking to so many people, as they kept changing. The conveyer they give you is overseas and they are never available, avoid at all costs.

Really slow

The worst company I have ever dealt with. They suggested they might sue me for my low review so I would be suspicious of the proportion of high reviews here. We had weeks of sleepless nights because of their incompetence and our completion was delayed while they requested signiatures from deceased relatives and promised phone calls that never materialised. They revealed confidential information about a family member's bank statement. Please try to use a firm where an actual solicitor deals with every aspect of your purchase. We would have been happy to pay more for better service, instead, we paid more for worse.

I was recommended Smart Legal and Michelle Ford by name when I asked from my Estate Agent for a really efficient legal service to support a house purchase, including a remortgage on a second property. Michelle Ford and Nikhil George did a really great job and got me through both the purchase and the remortgage quickly, efficiently and affordably. Fabulous digital systems that worked really well, moved things forward very quickly, and kept postal and in-person visits to an absolute minimum despite my being a complex client with a number of special needs. I can't recommend them highly enough - really impressive. Very proactive communicators with me and others whenever that was needed. I know just what a difference good systems can make, working in data myself and also having earlier this year helped a family member to sell a flat the old-fashioned way. What a contrast!

Dena acted on my wife's behalf for the sale of her property. Whilst we had a few hiccups at the beginning of the process, Dena really came through at the end to complete the transaction. Thank you Dena.
