Smoothtone 

This company is a scam. It is not based in London as it claims and sends out a different product than advertised which is ineffective. Its advert is full of lies and it fails to honour its 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee. It doctors its reviews and instantly removes negative feedback. Facebook is as much to blame by allowing this company to advertise. Sadly, Facebook bots deem the advert as not in breach of community standards. If a human reviewed complaints, hundreds of people will be saved from falling for this scam.

My mum has just been scammed by this website, item not as described, completely different name on product received and is just some cheap/nasty smelling cream of some sort, the ingredients wouldn't produce the claims stated on the website. Funny someone on Amazon is selling the same product 3 for £11 proving what junk it is. Filed a claim with PayPal on her behalf so hopefully will get a refund. Edit: seems they've bombarded via ads in a Facebook feed, the domain of the website was only registered on 10/06/24, and it is a Shopify site. Unfortunately it seems Shopify doesn't want to tackle scam sites like this as there is no straightforward way of reporting a scam shop ( lots of chatter about this online) Hopefully people will find these reviews before making the same mistake.

Complete scam. I do wish i had read these reviews before i purchased this white zinc. Nothing like the advert on instagram, they need to be closed down NOW.

Absolutely disgusting - the product doesn’t work it’s a white thick paste that just smudges round the skin and does nothing! I did the offer and brought 2 - emailed to complain and said as it’s opened (obviously only opened 1) they refuse to refund me. I’m raising a case with the bank and will be raising with trading standards - not only for the product being a load of crap but the fact they’re lying stating they’re a uk company when it’s a cheap product shipped from China. AVOID

Absolutely thieving **********!!!! The product is white chalk! paid by card so going to see if can get money back by going through the bank. What a bloody hassle but not letting these ******** get away with it!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! You will receive a substandard, cheap product called EEHLOE instead. It is a big con from a 'company' based in China, and despite the promise of a 30-day money back guarantee, you WILL NOT get your money back as promised.
If you have been ripped off by these scumbags, do two following things:
1. Report them online to The UK International Consumer Centre (UKICC).
2. Contact your bank or credit card provider - you should definitely get your money back after 30 days.

Clearly this is a scam, I've had the same experience as other people who have left bad reviews from this company. I've also received a different product (Eelhoe) to the one they actually say they're selling. It's an awful pale pasty thing that doesn't cover anything on your skin, it just makes you look strangely whiter. Very unnatural and it's nothing like it looks like in their photos and videos. I'm sure I'll have exactly the same experience as others on this page in relation to trying to get a refund etc.

I saw the adverts for this on instagram any on the website for the cover up of marks or scars.

It did not cover at all and the colour is awful a dusty flat grey/beige hue !

I agree, this is a fake product, does not cover anything and just leaves a white chalky film on your skin. Do not buy this product.

This is the worst product....they will not reimburse even though the ad says it will. You would get better results using water and dirt mixed together. Tried to get a refund , now I will report them to my bank...this is fraud.

This company should get minus stars. They use videos showing one product but you receive a totally different one and when ask for a refund they refuse as they say it’s be opened. I had 2 so asked for a refund in the unopened one and they said no to that too. So the 30 day money back guarantee if not satisfied is obviously rubbish too. How they can claim all this and still be trading I don’t know. I have reported them on Facebook to try and get them removed so other people don’t buy any. Let’s hope they get shut down as are selling these items fraudulently.

If I could leave less than 1 as a review I would. So ordered this as apparently the reviews were good... I always do my homework before buying something online. Paid £19.99 including delivery. Item arrived a few days later however was not Smoothtone on the packaging it was another name 'Eelhoe'. I contacted them to advise they sent the wrong item and I wanted to return. They do not offer returns. I advised them I was returning because of THEIR error they had sent the wrong item. I advised the item was still in all packing including the cellophane. they said I could return but was responsible for the postage costs..... (THEY SENT THE WRONG ITEM.... WHY SHOULD I PAY THE POSTAGE) .... and item was to be posted to China...
This is obviously a scam and they are relying on people not being bothered to send items back to China

Wanted to give zero stars but not possible. Interesting that Trustpilot give this an overall star rating of two considering everyone has given one. Don't get taken in by this like I did. Can't believe I fell for it to be honest. It's a total scam. Firstly, this is not a UK company, the product is shipped from China. Secondly the product you get is not called Smoothtone it is called West and Month and is called Cover skin. All it does is make your skin look pale, it doesn't cover anything, basically moisturiser with some colour in it. The adverts are a complete con and the facebook reviews are all fake. So angry with myself for falling for another scam. If it's too good to be true it usually is, is the saying and I need to tell myself that more often. They won't refund it if it is open. I will be going out and buying some Sally Hanson Legs or a good quality foundation would work just as well. In fact the cheapest crappiest foundation off the market would work better than this rubbish. So fed up of being ripped of by cheap Chinese rubbish

This a scam company selling a useless product. Takes ages to come from China and the cream is completely useless. Goes on white and looks ridiculous. I binned mine. The reviews are completely false , probably from stollen identities - don’t waste your money!

Avoid . Scammers . Seen the same rubbish item for £6 elsewhere. I feel really stupid .
