Elijah was professional, diligent, and I was genuinely shocked how many snags were found (187) which the developer has been working through since.

We had our property snagged ahead of moving into our new build to take the pressure off doing this ourselves when we moved into the property. One less stress! Following the report issued by ‘Snag My New Home’ we had a couple of follow up queries. This is where I was really impressed with the team. The aftercare was really helpful, with quick responses that resolved our issues without fuss. Thank you to the team who completed the snagging and for a positive customer experience.

Found the booking process really easy. When the surveyor came round, he was polite and courteous. He did a very thorough job, and found things that we didn't see after living here for several weeks!

I’m extremely impressed with the snagging inspection. The inspection was thorough, professional, and carried out with great attention to detail. Everything was clearly explained, and the report was easy to understand, well-structured, and very comprehensive. Issues I would never have noticed were identified, which gave me real peace of mind. Extremely poor snagging service. Avoid.

I booked SnagMyHome for snagging my 2-bed, 2-bath new-build flat in Silkstream, Hendon, and the experience was deeply disappointing.

The inspector was in and out in under 40 minutes, which is wholly inadequate for a property of this size. He missed major issues, including significant flooring defects and a faulty heating—both of which were later identified during a second snagging inspection from another snagger(plus more issues reported).

Worse, I had to explicitly point out several issues myself and ask him to include them in the report. This seemed to irritate him, which is unacceptable—this is precisely what the service is meant to cover. The overall approach felt more aligned with a builder’s perspective than a homeowner’s, offering minimal protection or reassurance for the buyer.

For instance, I told him the bathroom sliding door was not level and uneven, to which he started to fix it instead of reporting in the snag (HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL)

Because of this poor service, I had to pay an additional £380 for a second snagging inspection, and the difference in quality was stark. The second report was thorough, detailed, and professional, and caught multiple serious major and minor issues that SnagMyHome completely overlooked.

My recommendation: avoid SnagMyHome at all costs. You will likely end up paying twice anyway. Save your money and go with a snagger who actually spends the time required and advocates for you, not the builder.

Twice I booked this company to survey my new home, and twice they cancelled on the day of survey, citing no surveyor available, pity they didn’t advise that when I was booking and paying for it, they were quick enough to take the money online. We eventually used a local company who did an excellent job.

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere based on what happened during my inspection.

My original appointment was cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, which forced me to take extra unpaid leave. I requested a one-hour call before the rescheduled visit, but never received it. When the inspector finally arrived, he was late, offered no apology, rushed through the job, took a break about 15 minutes in, and finished the whole visit in under two hours — including his break. For a £425 snagging inspection, that felt completely unacceptable.

What concerned me most was that many of the key checks I expected simply weren’t carried out. There were no checks on guttering, windows, roof, brickwork tolerances, thermal imaging/heat-loss, or warranty/NHBC/LABC/Premier Guarantee building regulation tolerance checks. These were all services I paid to be included, yet they weren’t done.

The report I received was very basic and only highlighted cosmetic issues that my partner and I had already identified ourselves and shared with the builder — nothing that justified the inspection cost.

Customer service started off well, but once problems arose it became unhelpful and unprofessional, and there was no real effort to resolve the situation. I have since reported my experience to the relevant authorities. And the emails from them are awful. They do not care once they have your money! And they don’t give it back.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company at all.

It was just a waste of money. Overall a negative experience. First, they cancelled appointment on the day via a text message and when they eventually did the snagging it was well below expectations with me finding out more issues after.
On the day, they mostly picked up painting/decorative blemishes and we actually pointing out issues we already had that they did not see, so they can add it on the list

Booking really easy. Affordable, reasonable and competitive pricing. Everything was clearly explained ahead of the process. Took 1.5 hours in total and they found 50 Snags, 47 of which are being rectified by our property developer. They said our house was in excellent condition as with worser properties you can find 100-250 snags. So glad we paid for the service as we would not have found even a quarter of the things he noticed, so worth the money! Would definitely recommend if you are buying a new build.

Snag my new home provides excellent experience for me with their professional service, they also provides me a quick and detailed report.

I paid £425 for a full snagging inspection of my 4-bedroom house by Waseem from Snag My New Home, but the service was very disappointing.

Many key areas promised on their website were missed — including the loft and electrical plugs. I found over 15 snags myself after the inspection, such as scratches, missing clips, kitchen cabinet misalignment, and a noisy French door, none of which were reported.

When I raised concerns, customer service blamed “human error” and referred to their terms and conditions. Waseem called me back but refused to acknowledge the missed areas, arguing instead over the small issues he did find. His tone was unprofessional, and he even used foul language during the conversation.

He claimed a thermal scan only works in winter and said he’d find problems manually but never checked the loft where we later found damage.

The inspection took only about 1.5 hours, which seems rushed for a house this size. I’m doubtful about their equipment and thoroughness.

I was only refunded £150 and now have to pay another company to properly complete the snagging. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Snag My New Home.
