Solar Hub Avis 

We installed edge-protection for one of there solar installs in Tauranga and we are still waiting to get paid for it 3 months later,do not trust this company.

Installed products even dont match our household requirement everyone in this company are either engineer takes time to come back with plan but even didn't work for us.Once they know your phone numbers any of their employees doesn't bother to return your call if you have any issues.Promised 2 more extra solar panel but its over 6 months they dont even bother to answer call forget about installing. Personally I will never and neither recommend any person to get engaged with this company

First contact was great, informed and fast. Paid the 60% deposit to secure an install date and the product. That's where it all changed. Support staff were polite and helpful but never did as they said they would. Delays and excuses over and over again. Apparently supply issues and weather however I thought paying the deposit secured product months prior. The contact installers were helpful and appear to know what they are doing and do a good job. They also appear frustrated with Solar Hub staff. 2.5 months to get half an install when we were advised 3-4 weeks for complete install and we are still waiting.
Hopefully they will complete it one day but I'm concerned even if they do we are going to have ongoing issues and very unlikely to stand by their warranty which is worthless to me now. In any case the way they are going it's unlikely they will be in business for long.

Where to start, very happy to take your money other than that this company should be removed from nz. 60% up frontal the start of March 26, install to be 23rd April then nothing but excuses for the next month. Finally installed and within hours a call demanding a further 30% payment with a grantee of sign off within 10 working days. 10 working days later 15 plus messages and no response we got the big bosses number now he's blocked our number for used another number and he answered. Apparently still working on a inspector will call back in the next hour 2 days later won't answer that number anymore, time to bring in the lawyers. Don't touch this company at all

I spent $30,000, three weeks after the install the system is still not functioning, it's been incorrectly installed. They said they will send someone to look at it, but are not answering my emails and no one has come to fix it. Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Purchased system 4.5 weeks later installed. Had to wait another week for inspection then it ran for 1 day and faulted. Solarhub have sent replacement parts coming from manufacturer so who’s knows when it will be running. Made the first bank payment for the loan & we don’t have solar.

The company is very complicated if have any problems they will push you to another place or they don't pick up your call. I have wait for the solar for 2 months than they came and installed. After the install they don't give me the software to look at my solar how it work. I have to call to the company many times until now I still have receive any software yet. But they say they will call me at 3 pm today.that what they always do let you wait push you to call them bank again and again

Our experience has been a very mixed bag. The initial consultant was wonderful , the installers Go Green were 10 out of 10 and the products themselves have been top notch. However, paying all the money up front without being live was very stressful. Customer service post the initial consultant was sporadic, including them not answering phone calls and responding to emails. By far, the worst was the fact that from payment to going live has taken 3 months. Our parents using a different company from first contact to live took 3 weeks. Such a shame because they offer great plans and great products

We went live with a full system in early March 2025, we have also connected with their suggested provider Ecotricity, to date as of the 3rd June 2025 we still do not not have a meter installed to measure solar input to the grid, also we have questioned the angle of the solar panels which are facing south east on a mono pitch roof to which at the moment we lose solar generation at approximately 3.00pm, which is not ideal as at times the battery is not fully charged and have the ability to generate more power as we are based on the west cost of the North Island, only to be be told we when we queried them that the system is performing better than expected (according to their engineers). Our response was that we are not getting the full benefit of solar generation due to the angle of the solar panels. ( We will get a second expert opinion on this)
As for the meter install we are still waiting. (Some paper work issue we have been told). We have paid for the system as a full install money up front. At this point due to lack of communication and we seem to get passed on to different people, I am not sure if we would recommend them as a supplier, as there does not seem to be a follow up to the customer on their satisfaction with the entire process. As to date we are still in limbo with the meter install and very little to no comm's from Solarhub unless we contact them.
