A great experience
David and his apprentice arrived on time, introduced themselves and asked about the issue I was facing. Following this, they tested the equipment and confirmed the problem giving three alternatives, each explained carefully. Following my decision they installed the new inverter. Checked everything was being recorded successfully and explained what I should be aware of going forward.
At all times my property was treated with respect.
Thank you.

Clear explanation of my solar problems and a solution identified and booked in albeit for a month later due to restringing being involved. Everything completed on the day by Louis who was very polite and helpful. My only concern along the way was ensuring the scaffolders turned up in time to erect the required scaffolding

Not a great experience
Not a great experience. Charged £149.00 for a so called service of existing system and as far as I can see done nothing in the short time on site...
Also advised me to install batteries even through I don't have a smart meter. Until I pointed this fact out to him
Sorry but I would avoid at all cost

Réponse de Solar Maintenance and Repairs
Dear Barry,
Thank you for your feedback.
Our standard solar service includes a full inspection of the inverter, system performance, electrical testing of voltages and current, safety checks, and system diagnostics. While this work may not always be visible, it ensures the system is operating safely and correctly.
In relation to battery storage, a smart meter is not required for a battery system to function. Batteries are primarily used to store your own generated energy for use later in the day, helping reduce electricity bills. A smart meter is only needed if you wish to access certain export tariffs or smart energy plans.
We’re sorry to hear you feel dissatisfied, as we always aim to provide clear and honest advice. If you would like us to go through the findings of your service in more detail, please contact the office and we will be happy to assist.
Thank you

Having had to replace my Virgin router.
Having had to replace my Virgin router I found that I could not use my system app and having explained this to SMAR they told me that I needed a new dongle.
Two days later they arrived and fitted a new unit without any problems or cost to me as I have a maintenance contract with them.
Once again SMAR have proved to be reliable, efficient and trustworthy in their excellent support to me as a customer.

Good service from a company I'm happy to recommend. No-one had looked at the solar panel system since I acquired it 9 years ago. I found this company through a magazine advertisement and they gave a competitive price for inspection and report. The technician was excellent, Mo, who said he lives locally to me. He gave a thorough report and highlighted remedial action needed.

Professional service with a smile
My Solar panels were not working after looking at the good reviews I contacted Solar Maintenance and repairs, Dom and a colleague arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment, identified the problem, explained what they were doing, fitted a replacement Inverter and meter, explained the benefits of a 10 year warranty which I agreed to. I now have a system that is working again which is monitored and any problems that occur over the 10 years will be covered.
I would highly recommend this company for
Solar Panel maintenance and repair
and a job well done.
