Solar Maintenance and Repairs Avis 

Firstly rang back within 24 hours to discuss the service. Arranged for an appointment easily and engineer or technician turn up on time which was a novelty. Left to review system and diagnosis our problem straight away. Firm carries all types of replacement equipment out to each call and having possible cost on initial contact the job was fixed and paid for within 1.5 hours. Gent who came was polite, friendly and informed me of everything being done and what my options for the future. No hard sales tactics took what I said without any further pressure. Would recommend them to anyone who as a solar system.

On the whole Solar Maintenance & Repairs did a really speedy good job of installing a new inverter to replace our broken one, and we are now making money again. The engineer was friendly & seemed to know what he was talking about, and did a tidy job of installing the new inverter. The issues that I have is that the new inverter can be managed by an mobile app or online, but I was not told this before the engineer left (I found out when I registered the invertor on Fox ESS site). Also being shown this and how to use the app/web page would be a better service after inverter installed. However after reading some of other reviews I am now thinking I was sold a new inverter at a greatly inflated price that I also may not have needed.

Punctual,friendly and got my inverter changed and running in no time.
Checked the health of all the connections and panels too.

The company responded very quickly to our call to fix our solar inverter which had stopped working. David & Henry and Louis the engineers were excellent, giving clear information about replacing the inverter, welcomingly open about pros and cons and very patient helping us with App installation, solving a glitch straight away.
The office, however, became a different matter in that our maintenance contract and warranty did not arrive as promised and we had to wait 2 weeks for the App to be functioning properly so we could keep track of generated energy peaks - and manage our usage.
The admin team might usefully consider having the engineers say how long before the App is available and what happens for customers needing assistance, ensure contracts and guarantees are emailed asap and practice active listening when customers do present issues.
This feedback is intended to be helpful in improving SMAR service and I hope will be received as such.

A breath of fresh air compared to our experience with other solar companies, installation was scheduled, happened on time with experienced technicians. The whole installation was done quickly with no fuss. And later when we did have a small problem, the company answered the call, scheduled a technician and resolved the problem with no fuss. Myself and my partner finally purchased a house last October and it came with solar panels already installed, I had no idea about solar panels if truth be told, zero, anyway found out we had no battery, so I was recommended to try and get a battery and after speaking to a number of individuals and companies (Most of which i was not overly impressed by) I came across SMAR. I spoke to Steve and I knew during the call, even though I had not made a decision, that if I was going to get a retro fit battery I had come across the right company even though I had a cheaper quote elsewhere. Steve was brilliant not pushy, did not promise the world when others did and basically told me exactly how it was, totally straight about everything which I really liked, I rang him back a few days later and decided to go for it. Mo came out shortly after and looked at our house and panels to make sure the 12Kwh battery and new inverter could be fitted and all was good, so we paid half as a deposit and then the other half on installation. Louis came around and fitted the equipment a few weeks later and we have it up and running for the last 2 and a half weeks now. Everything in our house is electric, so there is a £88 pound difference between my last bill March and the one I got a few days ago for April with only 2 weeks of battery use too. The equipment works very well and the lads at SMAR i found brilliant to deal with, I found them trustworthy (Something I would not say about everybody I spoke to from other companies) I have already recommended SMAR to a number of people already in my office and the one thing I would say is what you pay is what you get, I got top class service and equipment and if thinking about getting solars or a retro-fit battery make sure you give them a call and speak to them. I have used Solar Maintenance twice. I’ve taken out a guarantee with them and I’m pleased I have. I had a problem when I come back off my holiday. They soon came out and the young man danfixed it in no time I would recommend fakes to anybody. and all the engineers have come I have been very polite very helpful and very friendly.

After two visits from this company, they come across as a knowledgeable helpful and reliable team. Highly recommended.

The company were quick to respond and arranged a day very quickly too. The engineer, Mo, was polite, friendly and not pushy and soon diagnosed our solar panel problem, repairing it the same day.

I was a bit reticent about using a company I didn't know as both the installers of our solar system and the manufacturers have gone bust and it has left me with cold feet. However, Mo from SMAR turned up on time, was very nice and the advice he gave was clear and unabmiguous. He answered more questions on the 'phone after the visit. I will be using SMAR to undertake the work they recommended and feel confident about them.
