Awful - Sad but true

Reluctantly writing this review given it’s a small business - however, it’s been a really disappointing experience.

I received a bean bag which I purchased online which was so inadequate in terms of quality and suitability for purpose - it was half filled - and not representative of the pictures online.

Sorens House agreed with me - and said a refund would be given. However, trying to arrange a return became such hard work - return labels were promised, never delivered, emails were ignored, deadlines missed. It’s spanned across about 3/4 weeks !

It’s been so incredibly frustrating.

I always try and support small independent businesses - having worked for one for many years - I understand the importance they have and the hard work that goes into making them happen.

However to be ignored, and have good will and patience taken for granted leaves a sour taste.

I wouldn’t buy from this company again

Hello Eva,

Thank you for your patience with this! I have just checked the system and I can see that you sent photos of the beanbag on the 17th of June.

I can also see that you had ordered a second beanbag which you said you didn’t like because of the colour, which only arrived last week.

We had an email from you on Friday saying that they could go in one box (it is now Sunday), so this has been requested.

The warehouse doesn’t open on the weekends so I will make sure that this is sent to you tomorrow morning.

Parcel has gone missing and it has…

My parcel has gone missing, and despite it taking over three months for the matter to be investigated, there has still been no resolution or outcome. Based on this experience, I would not recommend buying from Sorens.

Lovely company

Lovely company. Responded quickly to my message about a product not being in stock and when it was going to be back and I was able to purchase it as soon as it came in. Have a fab variety of brands/products too!

Felt ghosted

I ordered a beanbag for my childrens' bedroom that I was really looking forward to receiving. Sadly after failing to hear back from Soren's House after several attempts to contact them because the beanbag was so delayed, I felt as though I had been ghosted and claimed my payment back from my credit card company. If they had kept me more informed about what was happening with the item, I might have hung on and waited but their lack of reply to me (despite leaving voicemails and emails) made me concerned that I was going to be out of pocket and without the item. They eventually contacted me 10 days later to say the item would be with me next week, but I had already claimed the money back. So no beanbag :-(

I’m so sorry to hear that our communication was not as good as it should have been. Our phone lines are not always manned but we do respond to voice messages.

I can see that a ticket was opened and responded to in the same day and then closed, which could explain the delay in replying to your most recent message.

​I cannot recommend Soren's House enough! We were in a tough spot when parts for our Oeuf bunk bed went missing during a move. Max was incredible and went above and beyond to help us. He took the time to check directly with the supplier for the correct assembly manual and coordinated the entire ordering and shipping process for the replacements. His communication was fantastic throughout. Oeuf should be very pleased to have such a dedicated supplier representing them. Truly impressive customer service!

I purched the wooden tumbling stones…

I purched the wooden tumbling stones for the children I work with and they did not disappoint the kids thoroughly enjoyed using their creative imagination whilst playing with the tumbling stones which i plan on buying more of to give the children a wider range to create more.

Terrible customer service

I have emailed this company twice and sent social media messages to no response regarding my faulty table that i purchased 4 months ago and they have not responded. Do not use this company!

Fantastic experience

Fantastic experience! A lovely variety of brands to choose from. My order arrived quickly and was exactly as described on the website. Great quality and excellent service - highly recommend!

Very mixed experience so far

Very mixed experience so far. I ordered two items - one in stock and one with an expected delivery in a few weeks. The in-stock item arrived within a reasonable timeframe and was well packaged. However, the second item is now two weeks overdue compared to the original delivery estimate.

Customer service does not proactively update you about delays; you have to chase for information, and even then the responses are robotic and incomplete. Phone calls go unanswered. I like to support small businesses, but not when professionalism is lacking.

Update: poor communication and delays resume. For context when ordering, on the website 4 weeks was indicated, it’s been now just over 6 weeks and still no shipping confirmation. Being a small business doesn’t excuse this behaviour and incorrect delivery estimates provided when ordering.

Great online baby store

Great selection on website with lots of lovely curated bits for children, ordered two things for my nephews at Christmas and they were perfect, delivery was quick too. Would absolutely go to Søren’s house for any baby bits again!

I purchased the Finnsøn ASTRID Eco Universal Stroller Mittens

I purchased the Finnsøn ASTRID Eco Universal Stroller Mittens for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She recently had a baby. She absolutely loves them and has been using them since Christmas whenever she takes our granddaughter out for a walk. Dad has also been sneaking his hands inside them as well! She like having the ability to keep warm and have the use of her fingers when she needs them. They can be left attached to the pram. Great product. Delivery was quick and packaging perfect.
