Had a session with Aaron for our 6 months old Doberman who was scared/excited at seeing other dogs to the point it was embarrassing to take her out because of her breed and people think she is aggressive. Whilst we didn’t introduce her to lots of dogs we talked and worked through her routine, boundaries at home and she is now into a strict routine where she is focusing on us rather than other dogs. She was also terrified of getting into her crate so we put it away. Within less than 24 hours she slept for a whole hour in her crate which was amazing. She now does her training in Shopping centres and car parks to keep her focus on us and she is doing amazingly well. The time spent with Aaron was enlightening. Well worth the visit and would highly recommend

I was very unsure of how Barry’s future would look as he has been biting and I honestly couldn’t see any future. One session with Aaron was so reassuring and I now see light at the end of the tunnel. I’m so grateful for everything Aaron taught us and for the first time I don’t feel anxious and stressed. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back after some hard work and training at home with Barry ❤️

I have used sdt before. Now sogned up woth new puppy and says must watch welcome new members video before start. This is not loading properly and keeps buffering. There is no option to report this to anyone on the website-searched. Is giving a bad reflection of what i know to be good company. If i didn’t already know, I would not continue after 7 day free trial.

Good communication before arriving. Upon arrival I was promptly met and instructions were clear. Adam was really helpful in spotting things that I do or don't do which have not been mentioned by other trainers. It was small changes but these made a big difference to my dog. Colleagues went out of their way to help my dog overcome his fears of scooters and bicycles, so thank you. I felt listened to and Adam made sure I was comfortable and confident handling the dog around his triggers before I left. Thank you to everyone, even to Adam's wife for getting involved on the day.

Aaron was brilliant with our dog, really knowledgeable & helped us achieve our goals, gave us lots of things to work on. Its such a friendly environment & no pushy sales. Can't recommend Southend dog training enough they are great.

It was great to listen to someone who clearly knew and loved his job and we both feel a lot more confident that we can redress the issues we have with our dog and are already implementing training sessions with him

Had a 2 hour session with Aaron and absolutely loved it. Well worth the money. Cash my 10 month border collie was already showing his acknowledgment to the training he needed. Aaron was so knowledgeable and gave me great insight to things I need to work on and things that I overlooked. I came away feeling reassured and completely at ease. Highly recommend

Could not believe the results and the change in her after just 2 hours.

I come to Southend today, totally out my comfort zone with my one year old dog/ puppy. I meet with Aaron, wow wow wow. He took the time, didn’t rush me brought his own SO WELL behaved dog to meet my very nervous dog, this was so good for me and Aaron could see the behaviour issues I was having, with his own dog present, and without his own dog paying any attention to mine. I have listened and learnt a lot. We come home and did a small piece of the training ( not too much as she was tired) I have taken all his advice and it really made sense to me. Now to put the advice into action. I am excited for the future and having the app that Aaron helped me download( I hate technology) to ask for help, and advice I am preying life can only get better. Thank you Southend dog training, Even Gemma from the start of my first call was fabulous 10/10 for her help with advice and booking.

I have been struggling with my border terrier for some time and been unable to walk without incident.
When contacting the team I had an in depth consultation with Gemma who was friendly and helpful, relating with her own experience,
We booked a session with Aaron. We booked a two hour one to one session. I can honestly say we had the most positive session and for the first time I have hope moving forward.
Aaron was welcoming, professional and non judgemental. He created an atmosphere of openness and learning. He listened to our concerns and asked in depth questions to try and help Dolly. He did his assessment of her bringing his lovely dog Hank to assist him. Aaron was obviously very knowledgeable about dogs. He spent allot of time working with Dolly, being very patient with her struggles and with us and educating us through the session. He spent time using a variety of aids and collars to see what would suit Dolly and her needs. We can honestly say it was worth every penny, we have been given the tools to start rebuilding our relationship with Dolly and hopefully bring her to a more balanced and confident dog. We could not recommend Aaron and the team more if you are struggling with issues that are leaving you feeling at the end of your tether and can’t see a way forward.

Fantastic training session with Aaron we picked up plenty of tips to take away and work on. Aaron was very informative and explained everything in a way that actually made sense for once. we definitely felt like we knew what we needed to do and left feeling more positive than we had ever previously felt after using other trainers in the past. Will 100% recommend Aaron and SDT to anyone in the future honestly wish I’d discovered them earlier.

Adam and the team at Southend Dog Training changed the way I connected with my dog. I was in unchartered territory with an Amstaff Covid puppy that my then 21 year-old son brought home after being laid-off from work. Inexperienced and unable to access training for four months due to lockdowns, I had listened to the advice of other well-meaning dog owners about what to do. That was my first mistake!

The second was taking her to off-leash parks to ‘socialise’ where she learned domination was the way to play.

The third mistake was thinking other ‘cute’ dogs (anything with ‘oodle and ‘zu’ in it’s breed) were harmless and my dog was the problem when the owners of ‘cute’ let their dog run up to mine uninvited. Like me if a total stranger ran up to my face, she had the same response - she reacted.

Like all staffies, she loooves people, will roll over for a toddler to pat her, but let a fluffy little poodle come up to her and she growls like Cujo! She pulled like a freight train on walks and generally the first three years were 90% pleasure but the 10% of pain on walks felt overwhelming. One day, I came across Adam’s video on lead walking on FB. That was the start of my education. I soon subscribed because every time I saw a video, it was like divine intervention with expletives!

Being in Sydney, Australia, Adam’s videos and reels turned my world around. My dog was not the problem…I was! She knew I lacked confidence around other dogs and picked up on my vibe. Her ’job’ was to step in and take control so she ‘protected’ me from them. I hadn’t taught her walking etiquette so she free-ranged on the lead. That was where we started. And off-leash dog parks…they’re the equivalent of a nuclear waste ground. We don’t go there!

Having just turned six, I have a completely different relationship with Lexi. It’s taken me three solid years but I understand her so much more than I did at the beginning. Every day is training day…for me! Like children, there’s no such thing as a bad dog. Lexi has never been anything other than a beautiful, loving, affectionate dog but like many Amstaffs, she has power and enthusiasm in abundance so others see her as a killer. Until they meet her! I’ve met more aggressive cavoodles than staffies!

Lexi has taught me so much BUT…I could not have done it without Adam and SDT, who gave me the tools and confidence to learn how to advocate for my dog.

I have shared SDT with many dog owners on my walks and will continue to do so. Thanks Adam for helping me to be a better dog parent to Lexi. You have made a difference to us and continue to make a difference to others around the world. You should be very proud.

I can’t recommend Aaron enough !
He was full of knowledge and gave me lots of advice regarding our bulldog that we have recently rehomed.
He really took his time to explain things in detail, and I’m looking forward to putting his suggestions/advice in place.

this is my second time in a few months to see adam and i couldn’t be more happier. i thought i had a very stubborn dog that was testing me, turns out i was the problem and adam showed me where i was going wrong and how to fix it and wow what a difference it made from the off, i would highly recommend adam to anyone, thanks again

Our session was with Aaron and words are just not enough to express our gratitude. We spent 2 hours learning, asking and walking away feeling a lot confident then we were before we got there. He listened to our concerns and addressed each concern attentively. Really was the best decision visiting Southend training. Really excited to be walking Pabs with my new found confidence due to Aaron

Great communication with Gemma and getting booked in, 2x dogs trained with Aaron who was very professional with our dogs and gave us good advice to take home to continue their training.

Trainer Adam so helpful nothing is to much trouble really good advice so my dog Duke and I enjoyed the session very much and came away feeling so confident many thanks for a wonderful experience
