Spa Motors (Mid Wales) Limited - Brecon Avis 

Brilliant experience buying from spa motors Brecon . Lewis was excellent to deal with , he arranged for my private plates to be transferred onto my new car which saved a lot of hassle for us . We had a minor issue which was promptly sorted by the very efficient team in the workshop .

Purchased a car from Carwyn great service and easy transaction, have purchased a car from here before and always easy process.

Update: a month later the car needed some warranty work and Darren booked it in and offered a curtesy car, work was completed to high standard and was updated with progress through out, great service.

Bought my van from the Brecon branch in march 2023, with in a week I started having problems.
Just to start, I am a self employed carpenter and my van is my biggest tool I have.
Straight away
The ad blue reader was not moving off 0%
Took it back to them and they tried to fixed it many times
They then said that they could get it ‘mapped out’(not sure what this was) but if it was going to fix the problem then go ahead.
Later found out that this is ILLEGAL
They had the van for 7 weeks to sort out this problem.
My courtesy car was a clapped out ford fiesta(could not even fit all my tools in it, let alone materials)
Asked for something else, and I got a clapped out kia.
Then I had massive amounts of black smoke coming out of the exhaust, after a few more visits they said that this was normal.
After speaking to other garages this is totally not normal.
Then all the lights came on the dash, STOP,SERVICE THE LOT
Many more visits, They thought it was the DPF filter, They changed this and still all the lights were coming on.
After 8 months and many times of asking for a full refund, one of the directors ‘Gareth’ Said could not do a cash refund as it has been to long.
He offered me a van at cost price but would lose the 9k I have paid in deposit and monthly payments,(so basically pay 9k for a van that did not work from day one.
One conversation was ’So you basically have me by the *******, and to that he said yes, the other option apart from give it back for more time trying to fix it, was get the lawyers involved.
So another 10 weeks without a van.
They changed a couple of injectors and put another DPF filter on it,
Which I was told was an aftermarket one, turns out it was a second hand one. This is the most cheapest DPF filters you can get and totally pointless even getting fitted. Again only found out this pointless change after doing some ringing around myself.
Darren from Bacon branch was the only one which sounded liked he cared but now 16 months later and all the new information I have found out , he is just very good at telling people what they want to hear to delay you getting a refund.
If you get any problem within your warranty time with Spa please get a full refund and do not let them play you along like they did me.

By far the most pleasant car buying experience I’ve ever had. Nothing was too much trouble, px, change of class on v5, private plate, full service and all MOT advisories acted on. Minor fault with a switch promptly sorted. Staff polite and helpful in particular Steve in the workshops and Carwen in the Brecon sales office. Highly recommend, 5* all the way!

Took the truck in for a service, bought it a year ago from the Llandrindod branch but Brecon is closer to where I'm based so I went there. Friendly staff behind the desk, dropped my keys off, walked into Brecon to do some odd jobs. Got a call a few hours later saying the truck was ready, headed back and picked it up. All straightforward and easy. MOT was £55 Service was £140. Very thorough overall and they even painted a scratched patch on the bumper despite not being a body shop.

Brilliant experience with Spa Motors. Purchased a used pick up truck from the Brecon Branch, no hard sell and Carwyn from the sales Dept was very good. Purchase was quick and easy, on collecting the truck and as promised it was serviced, fresh MOT and new tyres fitted. After a few weeks a minor issue with the gearbox appeared, a call to the service desk and the truck was booked in and repaired under warranty. I also had a tow bar fitted by them, very good value and a really neat job done, the staff on the service desk are very efficient. Have to say I’ve had an excellent service from Spa Motors. Highly recommend them.

Darren and the team were so accommodating when I came in with sadly a blown head gasket on my Ford Ranger. I can’t thank the team at brecon enough for just being super helpful and empathetic to my rather annoying issue. After a speedy diagnosis on the truck they gave me the plan going forwards and I’m very happy considering the circumstances.

We bought a car from Spa Motors in Brecon in November and would definitely go back. Carwyn was great, no pressure attitude but very helpful and honest. He kept us up to date with when the car would be ready for collection. He made sure the car was ready earlier than usual as our request. We were able to complete paperwork at home online with ease and Carwyn made sure we were happy with all aspects of the sale before completion. The car was immaculate when we picked it up and agreed changes were made within 2 weeks of sale (new windscreen), with a driver picking up our car and leaving us with a courtesy car for convenience. Great service all round. Highly recommended 👌

Was very impressed with my recent purchase at Spa Motors in Brecon.
They have quality vehicles on display and the garage and workshop areas are modern and well maintained which gives the buyer confidence especially when I was not familiar with the dealership.
Dealt with Lewis King who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient.

Lewis was really helpful and welcoming. He gave me a quote while i was there to part exchange my old vehicle.
Was always at the end Of the phone if I had any questions or queries. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him.

Went to pick the new hilux up and dealt with jake, he was also very helpful.
