Claims to offer analysis and insight into classic literature, but their library is lacking. When I went to request a refund, I was told that there are no refunds. Frustrating. They really should make that more clear. They don't even have an app you can download to access their services, just their cluttered website full of buzzfeed-esque "Which character are you?" articles. Garbage.

Content is low quality and highly suspicious tones of AI slop. I was going through the Great Gatsby free analysis and there are very questionable highly subjective interpretations of the book. Needless to say if you were to use this in an exam you would fail.

Their content is very limited and mediocre, you can find all of it online for free. And if you forget to cancel your auto renewal, even if you didn't use is at all and you message them early, they will NOT give you a refund. Slimy company.

Don't subscribe to auto-renew! Lesson learnt - my child used it a couple of times - and I mean a couple, then completely forgot about it. The subscription auto renewed. Despite me advising them within 24 hours of the charge - they refuse to cancel and refund. So I have a years subscription I don't want and can do nothing with. Definitely not a customer centered company - they'll grab your money for nothing if they can.

Sparknotes is a business that ignores customer issues. Despite me raising an issue no less than three times, I have been ignored. I was double charged - through two accounts - and I was told the matter would be escalated and with two follow ups - nothing has been seen to. I would never, ever subscribe to this service ever again.

3 days ago, I used the no fear translation and today it now requires a subscription. This and many other features which were free have become paid. SparkNotes plus should of added new features and removed ads, not make most of the current features paid.
