Spartan Campers Avis 

If you are thinking about buying a used or new Spartan Campers then you are wasting your money.
The facts are here in the build quality, before they comment and try and change your mind on my review then read this.
I’ve purchased a 3 year old spartan camper van which the previous owner paid £40k for and used 3 times.
The build quality is rubbish in my opinion it’s been rushed and not professionally built as they insist on their website.
Let’s not get mixed up with build quality and serviceable parts.
Having owned the van for almost 2 months I’ve been cleaning it as you do and noticed several build quality defects..
1, Holes have been drilled in the wrong place and left open and with sharp edges.

2, most of the cutting of materials are not straight and looks like no one knows what a straight edge is.

3, screws are coming out left right and centre

4, the springs on the rear were sagging on the rear tyres due to the weight of the build - upgraded springs wasn’t used

5, stitching is all out of place and coming loose

6, saw dust everywhere under the cupboards and else where

7, no underneath engine cover or top cover

8, tinted windows are very cheap and leave jet washer marks on them

9, sound proofing all falling behind the insulation and all the interior peeling off the sticky stuff

10, kitchen cupboards falling apart

Many other issues , yes some may be service parts which I have included a lot, but after the van was a £40k 3 years and supposed to have good reputation then it would make you think you are getting a good van even being 3 years old. I went and bought it going on them reviews.
Maybe some people won’t care or some will but that’s my opinion on the Spartan campers.

Spartan built my camper kombi for me 2 years ago and I absolutely adore it, the conversion is great and designed around my wants and needs nothing was too much trouble, my sliding bed system my mobile electric system that travels with bed is awesome. Spartan also did my body kit and wheels too and the finish was better than expected, especially how they blended the bumper attachment was seamless . I've been back a couple times for new bits adding i.e. Fiamma awning and Reimo rail sport seat upgrade the list goes on, next upgrade is solar panel see you soon Spartan.

Excellent information on our first enquiry - given a tour of the premises and met the guys going the conversion, all great. Handover was excellent, Fraser was really helpful.

We first met the Spartan team at Newbury motorhome show back in May and were really impressed by the quality of the builds and how friendly and knowledgeable Joe and the team were when we spoke to them.
We checked out their website and other van designs and soon booked a visit to their showroom and workshops in Coventry. Was really good to be able to see how the vans are put together by their talented team.
We really loved being able to customise the van colours inside and out and would recommend the company to all our family and friends.

Delighted with our VW T6 LWB from Spartan. From the moment we first discovered Spartan we’ve had nothing but friendly, excellent service, nothing was too much trouble and we were given regular updates of each stage of the conversion.
The hand over was very thorough and we know they are on the end of the phone should we ever need them.
The people that work there are campers themselves and so are full of lots of helpful tips and advice.
Have looked at a few other conversions and Spartan really do seem to be the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of converted vans, the quality is superb, everything has been carefully thought out and at a very reasonable price.

Just had my Van converted by the guys at Spartan what an awesome experience here.
The quality is outstanding.

My husband had been following Spartan online (he was very impressed with their website) for around 8 months (before being in a position to purchase a camper) and he chose the company to do the conversion as they had such positive reviews. We arranged a visit to Coventry and were shown around the factory and taken through every step of the conversion process. Mark was very helpful; he proved to be knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions as well as going through the various options to enable us to customise our van.
On pick up day, Mark met us at the station and went through the workings of the van during the in-depth handover procedure. We were delighted with every aspect of our van and enjoyed getting used to it on the long drive home!
If you buy from Spartan, you will not be disappointed.

After considering a campervan for 12 months, we visited a local show where Spartan Campers were exhibiting. From the off we were impressed by the presentation of the campervans on display and meeting the owner of the company. Fast forward 2 weeks and we visited the factory / showroom in Coventry where Mark gave us the royal tour and behind the scenes of how these amazing vehicles are constructed. With full confidence we actually purchased one that was for sale that met our needs in both design and functionality. Fast forward again and collection day. Mark again who has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole process including the handover. His knowledge and passion for the brand and campervanning is incredible. Amazing service from start to finish, we took our time to decide what we wanted and Spartan helped us all the way with no pressure. They sourced the van for us to the spec we wanted but made sure it was in the right condition (the first van sourced turned out not to be good enough) which is very reassuring to know that our base van is a good one in top condition. What a great handover by Mark so personable nothing was too much trouble. Met the team again after seeing them at the show all so friendly and welcoming wonderful company to deal with they are all such keen campers themselves so know everything there is to know plus they welcome you contacting them with any queries you may have after you have driven off which is nice to know you have their back up anytime.
The van is a dream to drive and it all smells so new can’t wait for my first adventure

We spent a long time looking for the right conversion company as such an investment however from beginning, meeting the team at a show to the end picking up the van the whole team were absolutely amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and they give you all the time you need throughout your journey keeping you updated with photos and showing you around the workshops so you can see the journey your van takes through the process. You won’t be disappointed using Spartan, quality of build and care throughout amazing, you only have to see the Spartan Facebook group to see many satisfied customers and they’re still on there answering any after care questions. We were inspired by Spartan Campers when we met them at the Three Counties Show Ground, Malvern. Their passion for what they build shone through.
During the build we were constantly kept in the loop with updates, photographs and advice about certain requests.
Handover was thorough, friendly patient and informative.
We had a problem with a split Adblue pipe one day into delivery, but the measure of a good company is one that is professional enough to recognise that a customer comes first. The problem was efficiently and amicably resolved.

Picked our new build campervan up on Wednesday had a great handover from Kevin and what a great van it is well built and great looking inside and out. Great team of people working there and big thank you to workshop for building the shelf for the pop top.

Our experience with Spartan Campers has been fantastic from start to finish and we would highly recommend them.
We started with a visit to Coventry where we were met by Kevin who was extremely welcoming and started by showing us around the various stages of the Spartan production facility. It’s extremely impressive and it’s clear Spartan Campers are passionate and take enormous pride in what they are delivering and rightly so. Their Camper-van design and features have been extremely well thought out through their own personal Camping experiences, underpinned by their market leading build quality.
Our sales experience that day was very enjoyable - Kevin and Fraser understood what we as customers were after without being pushy, noting our financial limitations. There was a great choice of vans, and flexibility with various options and customisation within our budget. We were so impressed, we put down a deposit on a van that day.
During the production process, Spartan were very accommodating and prompt with their expert responses and advice to the various questions we had.
On handover day, the process was thorough and we came away with excitement that we had just taken delivery of the Camper-van we always wanted, and a sound understanding of how everything worked.
Since delivery, we been away on holiday in our Camper-van for a few days and it’s impressed in every way. A very enjoyable time and a game changer from the previous camping experiences we were used to. There’s a lot to learn resulting in a couple more questions for Spartans while away. Kevin was very quick to respond and answer our queries - great after-sales service.
Overall, Spartan’s professionalism and guidance throughout has been excellent and a pleasure to do business with.
