Avoid insuring your pets with Spot on
Avoid insuring your pets with Spot on, on 2 separate occasions of my pet having procedures done at the vet’s costing near on £2000 they refused to pay out, I contended the decision but they stood firm and refused to pay me out.
Sending emails with paragraphs only a vet will understand, they just fobbed me off.
I have cancelled the policy and will find cover elsewhere.
Do not take the risk they are the worst insurance company I have ever used.

I really cannot recommend Spot On enough. My dog was sadly taken ill back in July. After testing we found out he had mass cell tumours. Spot on made everything so easy, even after we made the heartbreaking decision to put him down because of how quickly he was deteriorating, Spot on sorted everything really quickly and liaised with the vets so we didn’t have to to and fro during a really difficult period. Thank you spot on for making everything during and after Flints illness so easy.

Your better putting your money away for…
Your better putting your money away for your pet they don’t like to pay out and when they do half the claim is cut away through excess and take away medication is not included unless you pay for this extra also they said they pay £1000 for death of you pet this is also not true

Our products were designed to give customers a more bespoke and flexible policy, tailored to their pet’s individual needs, and is clearly outlined in the quote journey and policy documents. Also, you are able to upgrade and downgrade at any point during the year, and not only at renewal like most other providers.
The Death of Pet benefit is intended to provide a payment based on the purchase price of your pet, subject to the terms and conditions of your policy. Euthanasia is covered as standard under the vet treatment section of your policy.

Not great treatment as existing customer versus new customer
Received a renewal quote £5 per month than current policy. Went online and found same policy with them for £4 cheaper. Went back to them but they would not budge on the renewal quote citing the advantage of being 12 months into the 24 month window for pre-existing conditions as the reason for the higher premium. As my cat has no pre-existing conditions this was no advantage to me. Asked again if they would revise the renewal quote given this and given that taking out a new policy meant 14 days uncovered at the beginning. Told them if not to cancel the renewal. Simply received the standard cancellation email in reply. Lovely way to treat existing customers! Took out the fresh policy at the cheaper price, but disappointed with the whole experience.

A really good insurance provider for pets. I’ve used them years and even at the worst times, they were great at helping cancelling my insurance when my pet died. They were supportive, caring and really prompt throughout.

To be honest I was sceptical that I would have a good experience when using spot On insurance for a clam after my dog had an accident. It seems that way these days but honestly, the claim was easy, the response was immediate and the payment was made without hassle. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't normally recommend anything to people but I would unreservedly recommend Spot On . PLUS their prices are pretty competitive.

Expensive and difficult to claim
Very expensive insurance compared to others on the market, and I have never been able to make a claim as there are hidden exceptions. I've been paying this company for years, and the first time my pet needed expensive treatment they told me it was not covered. I won't be renewing.
