Great service!
After music magpie reduced the value by £200 due to damage that wasn’t there, spring paid the full value quoted. Padded envelope was great. Money hit the bank within 10 mins of agreeing the price and requesting the transfer

Waste of time
Waste of time, offer you a price then take off money for things they say they accept, £84 they took off for 1 small scratch on the screen, they claimed it was a deep scratch when even on the photo you can see it’s not a deep scratch

As you've already discussed this with our CS team we'll have to agree to disagree on the facts about the scratching and photos.
We would have happily returned the phone for free to you. And we offered this multiple times when we explained we couldn't increase the offer to the initial value or the other figure you asked for due to the cosmetic condition. Although I'm very sorry you remain unhappy with the payment, I can see you chose to accept it instead and have withdrawn the funds.

Massively reduced valuation based on…
Massively reduced valuation based on small imperfections. Everything working perfectly but a nearly half the valuation taken off.
Happy to see a response from Spring and confirm that i did accept the reduced valuation based on the fact i couldnt be bothered with then recycling the product again and going through the royal mail twice was not going to help the condition of the phone.
In my instance i sold 2 iphone 13s initially valued at £287. The screens were both original with no cracks in at all. Both front and back. There were a couple of scuffs on the side panels. I believe this is to be expected with phones of this age and for imperfections of this size i would have anticipated deductions of maybe 20 or 30 pounds per handset. Not between 83 and 120.
Cant fault the process but people should be aware that unless the phone is immaculate you may not get your full valuation.

Unfortunately both phones had more than the declared minor wear. One was in better condition than the other and so the two prices paid were different. I understand you may have been unhappy with the 41% reduction for one of the phone but we do offer free returns. I can see you chose to accept the offers for both of them and have withdrawn the funds.

A fantastic little business, great service, fast with great prices, even if you have a problem with your phone like i had last weekend nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough, keep up the great work chaps.

Unfortunately there were a few issues with the condition of the iPhone 11. The screen had been replaced at some point but it was not sitting properly inside the housing. It also had discolouration (white spot). On the back there were moderate scratches and the frame had multiple dents. Hopefully you could see this detailed in the items tech report in your Spring account.
The initial value was based on the phone being in good condition (meaning minor wear) but unfortunately it has more wear than expected so the price had to be reduced.
We do always offer free returns but I can see you chose to accept the new value and withdrew the money yesterday.

Lack of clarity on 0 funds
I think, because I'm not clear as a first time user that a 0 balance should receive a clearer explanation....not just the standard response....your funds are available. As I am now sat here wondering 'what has (not) happened. Just some feedback for you.

Thanks for the feedback. The email "It's payday (or pat yourself on the back day)" is sent if you receive money or not. We've tried to cover both bases but sorry if it caused any confusion.
You should be able to see the full tech report for the phone by clicking into it in your Spring account. This would show the reasons we couldn't pay for the item.
The reasons were that phone you sent was a slightly different model to the one declared (it was a Huawei, P smart 2019 64GB which is not an item we accept as it's not listed on our website). It was also quite damaged and so we weren't able to pay for it but we will responsibly recycle it for you.
A shocking reduction in value!
A shocking reduction in value from the website quote when the phone is immaculate. £217 to reel me in and £128 offered. 'Some signs of use' does not equate to this reduction which passed all functional tests no problem. This is the phone recycling business model though.
On a positive, the process was very easy, packaging very good and quick turnaround and payment.
Sour taste with the huge reduction though. Will sell privately next time.
Edit following reply: there were no dents or scuffs shown in the photos I sent along with the phone. As mentioned earlier, this is the phone recycling business model in that an opinion that can justify a reduced value will trump the opinion of the customer.
I can do without the hassle and thought a verified review would be more useful to someone else who may be considering recycling their handset with Spring.

Thank you for the nice feedback on the packaging and the quick turnaround.
Unfortunately the reduction in price was because the phone was declared as only having minor signs of use but we found dents and scuffs on the frame (which are small but are visible in your pics), a scratch on the back camera glass and moderate scratches on the screen. You are right that the functional tests passed but the cosmetic damage in this case was the issue.
We do offer fast and free returns (in just one click). We would have happily returned this for you so you could try to sell it privately, but I can see you chose to accept the offer and have withdrawn the money instead.
AMAZING
The whole experience from beginning to end was excellent. The packaging to send the phone was such good quality and came quickly. The sale was processed on the same day they received it and above all, offered a great value for the phone. More people should know about Spring!! Will definitely be coming back.
