Stannah Stairlifts USA Avis 

Great presentation about company and I was very impressed with knowledge of company and the way the chair glider is made and its safety features. Everything is available thru the company and is not outsourced to another company or foreign country. Everything is made in the US and serviced by the company.

I've had a Stannah stairlift for nine year with yearly service and very few issues. Unfortunately the installer was a small shop that went out of business. The chair is now malfunctioning and I am having an impossible time finding another Stannah dealer that will take the time to call me back about servicing something they did not install. BEWARE that service is very dealer dependent!!!

I have now started interacting with a local authorized Stannah distributor located in St. Charles, MO. I am encouraged that there may be a path forward after speaking with their sales representative, who was very personable and helpful. However, I remain discouraged by the apparent lack of urgency in getting the service issue addressed.

After three days of missed phone calls, I am now waiting for a service representative to contact me to determine whether they can take on my service request.

The existing stairlift was installed approximately nine years ago and represents an amortized sunk cost of roughly $1,000 per year over its expected 10-year service life. My preference would be to retain the existing customized curved rail system and either repair the existing chair or replace it with a new, fully functioning unit.

I also think it is important to recognize that a stairlift is not simply another household appliance. For many customers, it is a significant quality-of-life investment that allows them to remain safely in their own home rather than having to consider assisted living or another living arrangement. When the lift stops working, the impact can therefore be immediate and significant. Companies serving this industry should, in my opinion, be particularly sensitive to the urgency of restoring service.

I understand that taking responsibility for an existing installation when the original dealer has gone out of business can be a burden for another service provider. I also recognize that service providers need to make reasonable business decisions about which installations they can support. Nevertheless, ongoing service and support are an important part of the value proposition of equipment designed to serve customers for many years. I would hope that Stannah has a process for helping customers navigate this situation when an original dealer is no longer available.

What I find difficult to understand is why it should take days—or potentially weeks—to identify a path forward for an existing Stannah installation. I would have expected a manufacturer to have a more responsive process for supporting its customers when an authorized installer is no longer in business.

I hope my interactions with the local distributor ultimately bears fruit, and I appreciate their willingness to explore whether they can help. My frustration remains with the lack of a timely service response and the apparent difficulty in finding someone willing and able to support an existing Stannah installation.

Another day has come and gone with no contact from Stannah. Yesterday the sales rep passed my request to the service rep. I am more discouraged now than ever that I bought in to the Stannah promise years ago.

Kind informative salesperson. Day of installation the installer arrived on time and showed how to use the stair lift.

Easy to understand salesperson who explained everything we needed to know and answered all questions. Installation was on time and efficient. Installer went over function thoroughly and also answered all questions.

Polite efficient gentlemen. Made sure I knew how to operate the chair before they left.

It was a way easy process on my end. Minimal back and forth Michelle was wonderful and knew the answers to all my questions. She also listened to my needs and quotes what was needed for my mothers situation being electronically swivel not manual which is what all other quotes had and ultimately decided based on that and Michelle’s service

A construction supervisor recommended Stannah and I did not check out any other brands. I had a problem w it beeping - I either didn't hear the installer's instructions or the number 2 in the red box indicating charging was not mentioned.a technician arrived on Mon& was very helpful.

Your sales associate, Paul was very knowledgeable & professional about the Stannah company. He answered all our questions about the chair-lift system & was very helpful. The installer, Carl was also very professional. He did a great job installing the system & showing us how to operate it. He even came back 2 days later to make an adjustment on the system to run smoother up the stairs.
We love our new stair chair-lift. It helps us tremendously with our health by not climbing stairs anymore. Thank you Stannah company.

Installation good but within a month the "skinny" arms fell apart. I contacted the installer "NO REPY"
3 weeks later left a message on "888" number no reply. Monday 8/3 left a text with pictures to Installer

Paul is a great rep, and carl did a beautiful clean install.

From beginning phone call to the final installation every thing went extremely well. I had to change the date of the installation, and I was able to do that and have another date that suited my needs. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. happy to recommend this company to others.

Our installation tech, Max, was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. He also left the area very clean. The chair lift is very compact. My husband finds it very easy to use.

Stannah Stairlifts installed a stair chair for my elderly father and the quality of their product is amazing! Family friends went with a cheaper alternative and they’ve had nothing but problems. My dad’s a big guy and this chair is sturdy as heck. Installation was quick and easy and they’re always available whenever we have questions. Staff are friendly and accessible. Would highly recommend.
