I had a brilliant experience with The Steel Door Company from start to finish. The install team were a delight to have at my property, really friendly, exceptional workmanship by people who clearly take pride in what they do. I can’t recommend this company enough, and I am already showing off my new doors to anyone who will listen and pointing them in the direction of the steel door company.

Steel door company installed our double door set that we are really pleased with, the whole experience was 5 star. They made it really easy for us and always did what they said they were going to do. I wouldn't go anywhere else if I needed another door and I highly recommend.

Stay Away. Customer Service is terrible. Took our money and then delayed the install blaming QA. Proceeded to make countless errors on install inc fitting a fire door that doesn't latch and springs open. When reported, they advised that they can't return for 3 weeks, resulting in a now 5 week delay to handover, all caused by them. Robotic, "Computer says no" responses from all the customer services team. I'd happily forgive the poor workmanhsip if they dealt with it correctly.
Once you part with your money, they don't want to know. Can guarantee when Gabby Logan and Olly Murs called, that they didn't have to wait 3 weeks for a safety critical defect.

I am an interior designer and hired The Steel Door Company in January 2026 to fit a small sliding door in my client's kitchen in London. Long and short is it's now entering it's 9th month of trying to get this door fitted. They have made so many mistakes. The door was made too small for the opening, so there were gaps either side. We were not instructed to support the lintel, so after 10 weeks the fitters turned up and said they couldn't fit it. We had to get the builder back to do more work after he had finished. We then had two surveyor visits, one who did the first measure in January (incorrectly) and the other so we could prove to him the door did not fit properly in May and then we had to wait for a new survey measure which happened 31 July (when it should have been done at the May visit). They initially refused to replace the door despite it being very clearly in their ts&cs if you pay the extra for them to measure and survey then there is no risk if it doesn't fit. If it doesn't fit they will replace it. My client had to threaten legal action back and forth for weeks and weeks to get them to agree to their own terms. Was meant to get the damn thing finally fitted today, and last night I got a call saying the doors aren't ready and they weren't coming. Despite confirming in writing with me 2 weeks before the "doors are now ready" and we booked in. Horribly disappointed, the door quality seemed fine, but this whole experience has been horrendous. 9 months to get a single 90cm sliding door fitted. Do NOT recommend!

Both quotation and fitting teams were, friendly, and very good at their jobs. Also love the doors, they make a really stunning addition to our room.

We recently used the Steel Door Company to install sliding Steel Internal Doors. We are so pleased with the outcome of this installation as it has completed changed the dynamics of our living space downstairs i our house.

Britt has been brilliant keeping us informed of everything before the installation and after care. We are so impressed with the Steel Door Company we are going to use them again and are in the process of getting quotes for two other internal doors in the house. The company have a great product that is in demand and from the first point of contact to the after sales support they are there to help the customer.
As with any company when ordering for the first time, you are concerned with delivery when doing a project that needs to be finished on time.
The Steel Door Company delivered on time and the doors were as expected. Lovely to look at and fitted perfectly.

We needed 4 sets of steel doors and The Steel Door Company give you a quote online first, then ask for a 50% deposit to book in a survey. I was nervous about paying out so much money up front without being able to see any real life samples before hand. However, the website pictures look amazing, several celebrities endorse their doors and I read so many amazing reviews for this company, so decided to go for it and book a survey. The people in the office were extremely friendly and helpful, the survey went well and then we had to wait 12 weeks for delivery. All the time the cynic in me just kept wondering if it was all too good to be true and whether I’d been scammed and would actually ever see these amazing doors.

Well, after a nail biting 3 month wait, the doors arrived, were fitted in a day and I’m so happy to say they are beautiful and we love them! Everyone who comes in the house comments how about nice they are. I’m so relieved 😂 and can say I’d honestly 100% recommend this company for great service and great doors.

This review covers supply installation of 2 sets external steel doors and windows . The completed doors are first class and the installation team led by Lewis did an excellent job ensuring quality and safety with the area left tidy as found. The project had its timeline issues (only reason Not 5 Stars) when the external fabricator failed to deliver a quality product on schedule and Sam then diverted the order to a second fabricator that delivered a high quality item that looks stunning. Issues can happen its how they are managed that sets good companies apart, direct comms with management via Sam and Jess ensured the end product was delivered to highest quality and Lewis and Team did super job of the install . Without the unforeseen delay the doors and service delivered was 5 star.

Very professional company. I am delighted with the doors I have had fitted today. The fitters were very knowledgeable and checked with myself prior to any work on the house structure before proceeding. The office staff kept me updated from myself making first contact to the survey and ultimately the fitting.

Everything has been first class from start to finish- from the initial conversation and quotation to survey and installation. The surveyor (sorry- forgot his name!!) was very professional talking us through our options and the installation carried out by Lewis cannot be faulted- clean, tidy and very efficient. The two doors we have had installed are of the highest quality and look superb!

I would recommend paying for the consultation for peace of mind, as I wasn't comfortable with the measurements. I received my door ahead of schedule and I am delighted with the result.
