Booked my car into their Woolwich service branch for warranty work which is still outstanding
Booked my car into their Woolwich branch yesterday for some minor warranty work on a car which is approx. 6 months old. I felt I was given an unsatisfactory explanation in respect of the issues that i am currently having which is detracting from the enjoyment of owning the vehicle. I now have to go through the hassle of leaving it with their technicians for another full day to try and resolve this issue (software updates on the i-drive system). No offer was made to provide a courtesy vehicle and I feel that their overall standards are below what BMW would expect from one of their major dealers. Gain a star for the valeting which is the only aspect of the customer experience better than par IMO. For reference I have used the following BMW service centres over the past 5 years so my comments and opinions are at least benchmarked with the customer experience provided by other dealers - Milton Keynes (Jardine), Scunthorpe (Marshalls), Barnstaple and Ashford, Kent
Great price and good service (new car sales)
We bought a new BMW from Stephen James BMW at Ruxley. Richard Smirke the salesman gave honest advice and offered a very good price on the car we wanted (without trying to push the very expensive list of options!). Having placed the order Richard kept us regularly updated on progress towards delivery and we are now the proud owners of a shiny new BMW X4. I highly recommend this dealership for sales (don't yet know about after sales service)
Very good aftersales servicing department
Have been taking my vehicle there for close to a decade. Always greeted professionally and the vehicle has performed very well. Any query or fault I have identified with the vehicle has been rectified, I have never had to take it in twice for the same fault, as I have had to in the past with other dealerships. Very knowledgeable and accommodating staff and the reason they are always busy is because of their good name.
SELLS NEW BMWs with rerfurbished parts?
I am now in the process of starting litigation with this dealership for selling a new car with (unknown to me) a refurbished wheel that was declined for warranty when I took it to a dealer complaining of rust and bubbling.
Very unhelpful in resolving this problem.
They have a significant number of 1 star ratings on Facebook. What does that tell you?
I would suggest avoiding this dealer especially if you are purchasing a new car, or even getting any maintenance done.
