I was a little taken aback when Mr Lash suggested that I should have my left eye operated on because the right eye cataract that he removed in January had acclimated me into thinking that my left eye was still fairly normal, compared with the right eye it was. Only when, after snow delays, I was finally able to order and get new glasses to take care of the slight astigmatism that in he was unable to correct in the operated eye that I realized how much sight in my left eye had deteriorated. No-one looks forward to an operation but I will shortly be contacting his excellent team to arrange for him to deal with the cataract in my left eye that is sneaking up in the background, I want him to make eye as good as the one he has already dealt with, thanks to him and his team.

No one looks forward to having any kind of surgery but the experience with Mr Lash and his team was very good and the results are excellent for me with good clear vision. I have had lens replacement for cataract in both eyes. Mr Lash is friendly and professional and gives clear explanations throughout. The team in the eye unit are efficient and skilled at making you feel you are in safe hands. I thoroughly recommend Lash eye care.

My experience has been excellent every step of the way. Steve Lash restored my vision, which in itself was a huge achievement considering I was almost blind a year ago following a brain haemorrhage. He is a skilled surgeon, with a wonderful approach and caring manner. His team of anaesthetists, nurses and administrative staff were amazing every time I visited.

The whole experience was faultless. Mr Lash is charming and, in my opinion, a brilliant surgeon. He explained everything very fully, prior to and during the operation and I was most impressed to be woken by a phone call at 7.20 the Sunday morning following the operation checking on the eye! A big thank you to all involved.

Dr Steve Lash inspires full confidence in his ability. Given that he is entering ones precious eye with needles, peeling equipment and a hovering device, this is quite important. Very professional expert doctor/ surgeon.

I had cataract surgery and YAG laser treatments. My treatment was completed in less time than I would have been able to see my local GP.
Mr Lash had time to explain the procedure and also answer any questions I had.
The procedure was complex but had no complications. Some surgeons may have refused the surgery due to the complex nature but Stephen just got one with it with a positive result.
Tanya sorted out all the paperwork and had a very pleasant and relaxing nature.
Only one small issue with Optegra that they did not return one of my calls post op about some bruises (Not really Mr Lash’s fault)

I had two previous unsuccessful retinal reattachment surgerys with different surgeons, I finally went to Mr Lash privately for the third attempt, by this time I also needed a cataract operation ( due to the previous two ops) Mr Lash is brilliant, his energy and enthusiasm make you feel you are in very safe hands.
The reattachment he performed was successful, the cataracts (carried out at the same time) went brilliantly. I now have practically perfect vision in this eye which I was close to giving up on

Excellent preparation for the actual appointment with the us surgeon. Felt we were looked after both during day of the operation and the follow up consultations.

The surgery and treatment went well. Just had some post operative complications that have prolonged my recovery.

I can honestly saw without hesitation that the service that I received from Stephen Lash and Optegra generally was absolutely superb. I had two cataract operations, with two weeks between each, and was most impressed with the whole process, and particularly with Stephen Lash's openness and sheer professionalism.
